Google Assistant and Sonos

Hi all, Currently i setting up my home to have a Sonos One Gen 2 in every room. Wanted to configure google assistant such that: In Room 1, If give command to turn off fan, it will only turn off fan in room 1, leaving the rest on. In Room 2, if give command to turn off xmas tree light, it will not execute as xmas tree is in living room. In room 3, if give command Goodnight, only turn off the lights and smart devices in room3. Can i make use of google assistant and home app plus sonos app to achieve this? Thanks for you time. Cheers Jim

Can you use play 1 as chime for google nest doorbell. I have no other Google products. I have iPhone and google account with google home app. If yes. How to make it work ?? Thanks 

Hey gyes. Does anyone know a solution to get the nest wireless doorbell to ring on a Sonos? Have a lot of PLAY one SL. I added both Sonos and of cause the nest in Google Home app, but cant get it to work. 

I recently purchased Sonos Roam and I added RadioApp as a service under Music & Content.When I ask Google assistant to play a radio stations using RadioApp (3AW, Fox FM, SEN, ABC Melbourne) the assistant says “Sorry, it looks like RadioApp isn’t currently supported on Sonos Roam”.I have tried using TuneIn, however my most listened to radio station (3AW) no longer streams on TuneIn as of August this year according to their statement: https://www.3aw.com.au/how-to-hear-3aw-on-sonos-and-other-devices/Can someone please assist me to play 3AW and other Australian radio stations using Google Assistant on Sonos Roam? 

I’ve seen this question/issue raised several times and I want to add my vote for this enhancement to the Sonos One. It is really a nuisance not being able to control the volume of the Alexa / Google Assistance separately from the volume of the music.

Starting this topic AGAIN because all the threads are months old and often shut down by Sonos staff. I can play Sirius XM on all my Sonos speakers through Sonos app. I can play Sirius XM on Google speakers using Google Assistant. I can play Pandora on my Sonos speakers using Google Assistant. But what I can't do is play Sirius XM on Sonos (One) using Google Assistant on the Sonos One (or anything else). It says "Sirius XM is not supported on ____".  And yes I've disconnected accounts and relinked multiple times. 

Losing hours and patience here :-) Google assistant cannot be added to my sonos app to work with Roam. Got support and they told to go online and change the country to US. I did, rebooted the whole thing, uninstalled the app and put it back up again. Nothing happen, still get the same “Not available in your country message”. Any tips before I throw it out a window or write a nasty take down piece? 

Yet another question about the availability of Google Assistant in Finland - but please bear with me. My mother tongue is Swedish (and every Finn learns Swedish, as it is our second official language). According to this support page, Google Assistant is available in Swedish through Sonos. So why wouldn’t this feature be available for all native Swedish speakers in Finland? It feels like an arbitrary restriction that just as well could be lifted for all Finns - most of us speak English as well, so even if you wouldn’t support the largest language here, it would still be beneficial to all Sonos users.Even if this was impossible, the frequent pop-up in the app to activate a voice assistant should be removed in all locations where this is not possible - currently if feels like you are showing your customers the middle finger.

When I initially set up my Sonos ONE Gen 2 speaker it worked absolutely fine. I then got a separate Sonos ONE but without the mic function in order to set up stereo sound.I'm not sure if it was since then or after but whenever I ask Google to play music from Spotify on my Sonos I have to initially ask it twice - Google will respond saying "ok, playing .... On Spotify" but then this is followed by silence until o repeat the command.Similarly, when I try to cast from Spotify, I will often choose a song which will start playing, then cast it to my speaker but then have to pause and play the song again before it starts playing.I don't know where the problem is, but I have noticed others have mentioned similar issues on these forums a year ago. I was hoping it would be a temporary bug but it has now been like this for almost a year.Any ideas? My Google mini works flawlessly (and has full Google assistant functionality) but I do think the Sonos speakers are better quality so would like to ge

So I set up Google Assistant on the Sonos Beam (check images) but it doesn’t matter what command I give to it, it says that it cannot find my devices.For example, if I ask, turn the Living Room Light On, it says it can’t find it.Even with Apple Music, if I ask to play something on apple music, it says that it can’t do that. It’s as if it’s a separate device not connected to my home but it can respond to general web requests (what’s the weather, what’s my name, etc).Is this expected behavior or is it supposed to behave as any other Google Assistant device in my home? I can’t use this assistant in its current state. 

Greetings, Does Sonos Amp show up as a Google Home speaker?    I have wired ceiling speaker pairs installed in my kitchen and am thinking of getting a  Sonos Amp to power them for streaming music.  The kitchen has a Google Home and I would like to set the Sonos Amp as the ‘Default music speaker’. This when I ask the Google Home to play music, it’ll play on the Kitchen ceiling speakers via the Sonos Amp. I have a Sonos Arc and it does show up as a Google Home speaker that I can bind to a Google Home as the default speaker for music. Does Sonos Amp do the same?

Pretty sure with other google devices you can set the volume of the assistant differently to the music.  I like to turn my music up sometimes but dont like Google assisant screaming at me the next morning to wake up.  Any idea when this will be added?

Hello Guys !I use a few Sonos in my house (two five and a sub + four one) all the Sonos One have Google Assistant enabled with voice match to identify family members speaking.When someone from the family talk to Google Assistant asking to play music, the Sonos play using Spotify (music provider configured in Google Assistant) but it take the last account used in the sonos app.It should be great to identify the spotify account (or other music providers accounts configured on the Sonos App) based on the voice user that ask to play music : I suppose it is possible to identify the google account associated to the voice that is talking to Google Assistant then use this account to match the spotify or other music providers configured on the Sonos App to play with the good account. Maybe renaming the spotify account on the Sonos App to match the google address used by Google Assistant to help identify the account owner or something like that ?Thank you guys to make it possible 😉

Hello, I have the new google chromecast tv 4k with the remote and I have 2 sonos one and 1 sonos move in my living room. I want to connect my audio system to google but unfortunately I only find a way to connect my move in Bluetooth to Google. I have seen people doing more complex manipulations to success to connect their whole system. Can anyone help me on this please ? :)  Have a Wonderfull day everyone ! Damien

Hi all,I have a Sonos Amp and a Sonos Arc and want to control them with a a Google Hub Max which I thought would be simple but it seems not to be.Firstly, the Sonos app only lets me add voice control to the arc (I know the amp doesn’t have that functionality built in). However I don’t want the arc to have voice control because it’s in a very close room to the amp and the Google.  Does anyone know if it’s possible to set things up in this way? I tried setting up the arc with voice control and then removing it - no luck. Even when I have both the arc and the Google using voice I can’t get the Google to control the amp. In addition when I try and speak to the Google the amp also answers from the other room with something completely different when I though they should be sync’d in some way.All rather frustrating in a first world way and makes me think it’s just not with nothing with Google/Sonos integration as it seems buggy and not a great experience.Thanks all.

Ee hebben een arc een sub en twee sonos speakers de ene is een SL en de andere niet. Deze zou dus de google spraak assistent moeten ondersteunen maar zodra ik hem verbind met de SL speaker gaat de microfoon uit en die is niet meer aan te krijgen. De arc blijft het wel gewoon doen. Hoe krijg ik de spreker werkend met de spraakassistent? 

What the title says. when i say ok google this is the response. I can't reach the internet right now check your modem and router connections and try again. I have had no issues with my system or google assistant for maybe a year. All of the speakers will play music through the app but none work with google.I have a my system connected wireless to a central netgear nighthawk 6700 on a 2.4ghz band both running on channel 1. no repeaters, no switches no mesh. I have 5 speakers with google assitant and none of them will connect.so far i have:updated the router and sonos apprebooted the router, modem and speakerschanged my wireless channel to 1 on the router and sonos appupdated the router to allow guests to see each other and access my local networkupdated my network in the sonos appremoved google assistant from a sonos One and tried re adding it. Google assistant then could not even find the device to add it. It did try to add to a different device that should have already had it, the ass

My Sonos one speaker does hear me say “Hey Google” (because it makes a beep sound when it does) but won’t respond with it’s voice and doesn’t do what I’ve asked it to do. It’s just complete silence after the beep. I’ve added the assistant through the Sonos app and added the speaker (and some HUE lights) to my Google home afterwards. When I say “Hey Google” whilst I have the Google assistant app open, I can make it play music through Spotify or turn on/off my lights. If the app is closed like it normally would be if you call for the Google assistant, it doesn’t respond. I don’t think this is how the Sonos speaker’s assistant should behave, right? Is there a fix? I’d like to use my Sonos speaker to turn on some music when I have my iPhone in my pocket.

If anything, this post is to vent my frustrations over the last week while trying to intergrate my SONOS devices with Google Assistant/Home.  I do not need support, as the stock answer of “Please submit a Report, yada yada yada, is getting no one anywhere on here or various other forums where this issue has been reported.  Also, I gave up and have successfully integrated with Alexa with no issues, no glitches, no bugs, just works!To clarify, I love my Sonos devices for their primary role as a speaker and as a music player.  The sound quality is superb and the integration with Spotify is flawless.  Having said that, Sonos needs to disable and remove from production the Goolge Assistant functionality until it works as designed!Yes, I have reset my entire network and devices multiple times!  Yes, everything works on said network and on said devices except for Google Assistant/Home integration.  There is nothing wrong with my network or my devices, everything else works, even SONOS with Al

There seems to be a really old thread on this where Sonos stopped responding, so I thought I would follow up - any update on being able to play Apple Music via Google Assistant? This feature has been available for Google Assistant for a while, and I think Sonos may be the only speaker that doesn’t do this in the market. Any update?

In some movies and series, if the audio from the soundbar contain any "Google" like words it triggers the Google Assistant. When it's triggered, it lowers the audio and you can imagine how annoying that is when you watch anything.This never happend on my Sonos Beam, but on Arc it happes all the time. At least once per movie/episode. Has anyone experianced this as well, or have I done something wrong while configuring my setup? My system: Arc, Sub Gen3 and two Ikea Bookshelf speakers. 

is there a plan for sonos to add google assistant service in HK in Cantonese? can’t wait to enjoy the experience of voice control in mother tongue!

Hi, I am trying to understand the capabilities playing Spotify (free) on google hub and Arc.  Specifically I’d like to be able to request a station (or a music type) on the Hub and ask it to play on the Arc.  Or start it on the Hub and move it to the Arc.  It works sometimes and other times I get message from the Hub saying its not available for Sonos.  Cant figure out what should or should not work.  I have the same free spotify account linked to both devices as my default music players and same google assistant account, etc.  I am wondering if the content being pulled on the Hub is sometimes not available for the Arc for whatever reason even though they are both using the same Spotify account?   Or maybe there’s another reason? Thanks

If you have Google Assistant, a Nest Doorbell with visitor announcements and Sonos Ones, Sonos One SLs, and Play:1s, will the announcements play on just the Ones or on the entire system? Can you stream content via Google Assistant to just the Ones or can it play on any speaker in the ayatem?
