I have 2 roams, both set up and on the network, I have set up Google assistant on both, and for the most it works fine, that was until my wife tried to add the devices to her home app, she goes to voice assistant, clicks add devices and the 2 speakers show up. when she clicks next it throws an error and say they can’t be added, then enrolment failed.Any help or ideas would be good.
Is there a way to have Sonos One setup with Google Assistant recognize multipole voice match profiles?i.e. when you say “Hey Google, Who am I?” it can recognize more than 1 person? I can’t figure out a way to setup more than one person with a Sonos One. I can’t get Google Assistant to recognize the Sonos One when I try and directly add a device to Voicematch. I can’t add more than one profile via the Sonos S2 app because the system only ever allows one user to be connected to it.
Our Google assitant on beam started saying “something went wrong try again in a few seconds” in the middle of the night around 4 am a couple weeks ago… it’s pretty random, it said it a couple time during the day too. I have closed the mic and removed the Google Assistant from my system but it kept saying it anyway 🤯. The only solution I have is to mute all my sono hardware before going to sleep but sometimes I forget 🤦🏼♀️. Is there a way to stop it or to make a routine to mute all speakers during the night?
I live in an apartment. I have a SONOS Beam and 2 SL speakers set up with a TV in the Master Bedroom. I also have a Beam and 2 SL speakers set up with the TV in the Living Room. I use Google assistant on Sonos. For the past year or so this has worked perfectly. Recently (and it does not appear to be associated with an update) Google assistant on both systems responds with “Sorry there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds” about 50% of the time. Yesterday when I walked in the house both Beams were responding with: “There is no internet connection”. There was NO internet problem as my phone and PC’s were working correctly. I tried to re-setup all SONOS speakers and now I can only connect one complete set (BEAM and 2 SL’s). If I connect the LR setup then the BR one will not configure and vice versa.I’m curious if something was changed in the software lately that is causing all of the grief?Should I be using Google Nest’s and not Google Asst on Sonos?
There are posts on here that have been locked that are over 1-year old requesting YouTube music 'likes' in the Sonos app. Please action this or allow Sonos speakers as a target for Google cast so we can cast directly from YTM on phones and like there. Yours faithfullyA new Arc/sub/one user
Hisince today my google assistant couldn’t connect to the wifi. I tried to reboot my Sonos one and to reinstall the Google assistant but now I cannot even do that as Google assistant says it cannot find a device to pair with. Any insight?
Why can't join GoogelHome group?
Hi, I'm looking in to buy a Sonos play 5, currently I have a couple of Google assistant smart speakers. I was wondering if I could pair/sync them with a Sonos play 5 so that I can play the same music across devices or play only on certain devices. Thanks for your help.
Hi guys I plan to buy some Sonos One / Sonos One SL.I have a room where I would like to add 6 sonos speaker. I will probably use the sonos one for it size.2 Sonos one used with google assistant and 4 Sonos One SL.First question : do you think it is more efficient to add the 6 to one group or to pair them in stereo and add the 3 pairs to one group ?Second question : In that group I have 2 sonos with google assistant. Is it possible to control the group directly from the assistant ?Last one : f**k the size and take 2 Sonos Five. But in that case is it possible to control them with a classic google assistant ?Thank you community Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
This issue has been posted again a few months ago and I am having the exact same issue. I could not see any resolution to this problem and the topic was closed. Since I am experiening the same issue with the google assistance giving nightmares to my children I have copied and pasted the original question re-opening the issue“I have programmed the ‘Goodnight Google’ command to turn my bedroom lights off, and to run some ambient background music until I fall asleep. That all sounds lovely, doesn’t it?I thought so, too. However since I bought my Sonos One to replace my Google Home, when the ambient music (chirping crickets in a field, for anyone interested) finishes an hour or two later, usually in the middle of REM sleep, the Google Assistant suddenly screams “I’m sorry, I don’t understand!”, waking me up in the middle of the night, only for me to go through the entire process again if I make the mistake of using the ‘Goodnight Google’ command. It might make sense if I had asked Google t
The radio one tuneln won’t stop when I give normal commands when I use google assistant. Do someone have a fix? This problem came out of no were.

RIght now it has Spotify, so if I say to Google Assistant, “PLAY XYZ” i it will search for it in Spotify, I have to say “PLAY XYZ in YouTube Music”I tried deleting Spotify as a music service, but now Google Assistant just says “sorry, Spotify not available in Sonos”Is there a way to change the default to YTMusic? I want to cancel Spotify altogether.THanksEmile
I’ve added the Sonos ARC to my Google account. It does show up as Sonos TV control, as expected, however, it can’t be used as it toggles between “Not responding” and “Connecting” and never goes through. I can’t use it to control the TV.The internet connection is stable, I’ve also tried connecting the speaker using an ethernet cable but the result is the same.I’ve created a short screen-video to show how it looks like:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdsQh0A4woc I’ve found this topic from a year ago which seems to be the same issue, but it was closed for comments without any solution
Hi folks, when watching tv my Google assistant on Sonos Arc self activated randomly with tv audio. It happens basically every day. Never happened before when I was using a Beam. I want to disable the "start sound" that sets of when I say "Hey Google".Obviously I want to have Google assistent activated, but the sound annoys my girlfriend. I found how to do turn the sound of in Google Nest products (se link below). But I don't find how to do it on my Sonos products (or if it's even possible). I'm guit sure it's possible because a friend that I belive had Sonos as well had managed to deactivate this sound. https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7410241?hl=sv&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid
I'm using several Sonos with microphones; Move, Roam and One. Move and Roam work fine, however when using the One, the trigger word is fine… but then I need to scream rather than talk for the Sonos One to react. Anyone an idea how to deal with this?
Hello all Sonosers ;-) Requesting your thoughts. My configuration is: Sonos One + Google Assistant + Deezer Premium. Has been working great since I installed it 1 year ago. Typical usage: “Hey Google, play some rolling stones”, etc. Yesterday Google refused the command, saying the current device does not support Deezer. Tried upgrading all software, hardware resets, reinstalling all software. When adding Deezer to Google Assistant, setup says “Continue with unsupported music service? Deezer is not supported on this device...”. I have no problems streaming from iPhone Sonos app + Deezer to Sonos speakers. Has anything important changed within the last week? Stay safe everyone.
now Google Assistant officially supports the Russian language (beta is over). Please add Russian language support to the list of allowed for Sonos devices in Google Assistant. We have already written that this language works great on the forum, and it should not be long and difficult to implement. Everyone who uses your products in Eastern Europe and other countries in Europe, America and the world will be grateful to you.
Hi there! On Automatic Trueplay page it is written that If you’ve added the Google Assistant to Move, Auto Trueplay will be disabled when Move is in Bluetooth mode.Does the same relates to Roam (not Move)? Which actually means that I will not have Automatic Trueplay on my Roam as far as Google Assistant was added. Thank you in advance, Oleksii,
Hi EveryoneDoes anyone know if there is a way to turn off the lower volume when listening function for assistant on Arc?I’ve followed the instructions but it seems to only be available for google made speakers? It’s a bit annoying when I’m watching something and the assistant is triggered by dialogue from a movie, I’ve lowered the google sensitivity but can’t seem to find any setting to turn off the lower volume when listening function.Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Voice recognition issue, Sonos Beam and Google Assistant: beam won’t recognize second voice.

Hi all,When I try adding Google Assistant to my Sonos Arc, I encounter the following error messages from the Sonos app and Google Assistant respectively. I tried removing all the music services in my Sonos app and signing out of all my gmail accounts as suggested in some of the other posts, as well as installing (and uninstalling) the Google Assistant first before adding the voice service to the Sonos App. Could someone help me? Sonos support tried to diagnose the problem for an hour but we have yet to resolve it. Thank you.
