Sonos devices are becoming increasingly popular in Russia. Sellers widely advertise the ability to manage Google Assistant as a competitive advantage. However, they do not say that Google Assistant is not available in Russia. I found out about this only after the purchase and this may be not only a reason for a refund, but also a lawsuit. There is no point in selling devices with a voice assistant in Russia, since it is not supported. Customers pay money for voice control but can't use it
Hi, i would like to use the Google Assistant broadcast voice messages with voice match in my Google Home family. The Google Home family has Sonos speakers and Google Home Minis.I want to use the Broadcast voice messages with these Sonos speakers. And i want to active voice match for every family member. The problem is, that my Sonos Account is set up in the Google Home Family and the speakers are only belongs to my Google Account. The Sonos speakers are not shared to the other family members. So, if you start a broadcast voice messages from the Google Home mini the message is only played on a other Google Home Speaker and not on a Sonos speaker, because the Google Home minis are shared in the family but the Sonos speaker not. There is a setting in the Google Assistant App. There you can see that all speakers appear in my Google Account. The other family members only see the Google Home Minis. The Google Home Minis are shared in the family, but the Sonos speakers are not.The question is,
Since a week my Sonos One isn’t updating the info from GA.When I say “Hey Google, goodmorning” it provide weather info, calendar and news. Now it doesn’t give me my recent calendar items anymore and the news is from a week ago.Could not find any info how to solve this. Is it because of the lawsuit between Sonos and Google?
There seems to be a really old thread on this where Sonos stopped responding, so I thought I would follow up - any update on being able to play Apple Music via Google Assistant? This feature has been available for Google Assistant for a while, and I think Sonos may be the only speaker that doesn’t do this in the market. Any update?
I have set the volume of my Arc to 50% for watching TV. For music this would be way too loud, but the level of TV sound is lower somehow, so 50% is just right. However, this also influences Google Assistant - the replies are very loud as well, and what’s even worse, the microphone is ultra sensitive! Seems like this is also adjusted by the overall volume. The Arc is in my living room, and I have a Move in my kitchen. Both speakers are ~20 ft apart (including a wall), but when I am in the kitchen and try to give a command to the Move, the Arc replies :-( Sensitivity is already at -2 for the Arc, and +2 for the Move, but that doesn’t help. I know that the Assistant volume cannot be set separately, but for the Arc this would be absolutely necessary...
We keep our Sonos move outside in our backyard. Unfortunate we've discovered that all this time we've been broadcasting from our other Google devices to the whole neighborhood because of this. How can we turn off the broadcast function on this one device without having to disable Google Assistant altogether?
My Sonos Roam would randomly ON & OFF its Google Voice Assistant on its own, without any physical touch or App control. Does anyone else have the same issue? e.g. Your mic is back onLatest software updated. Should I contact customer support?
Hey, was just wondering how to activate the Google Assistant on the Sonos One? cant seem to get it to work it keeps failing
On this repeating topic, can someone at Sonos please explain the progress and likelihood of Apple Music working with Google Assistant? I’m still getting the message that Play 5 is not supported and surely this is something that should have been resolved by now.
I have 3 Sonos speakers: Kitchen, Great Room (default), and Sunroom. When I start playing music through Google Home it defaults to Great Room. Can I use Google Assistant to turn off/on one of the other speakers? I know that I can do this through the Sonos app but I’d like to be able to do it via voice.
I use my Sonos as the default speaker with my Google Nest. Music can be controlled on the Sonos by the Google Nest, no issues. However, the Google Nest feature ‘Lower volume when listening” does not work with my Sonos. This is very annoying as I have to shout Google commands when music is playing on my Sonos speakers. Ive tried re-lnking my Sonos speakers with Google Home, I’ve update the Sonos software to the latest. Is there a fix for this ?
Sometimes even in a silent room, google will say “Sorry I dont understand”. Anyone else experience this? My other google home mini dont seem to triggered. Once in a while this will happen 2 in the morning. Some times it says “Sorry I dont understand”
Hi, I just got a new Sony TV A80J and Sonos arc connected to an earc port. Every time I say, "hey google, turn on my tv," it says, "Sonos ARC switching input to TV," and nothing happens. But everything else works .. like if I say turn off the tv, it turns off if I say change input; it does. The only thing it doesn't do is turn the tv on.Also, note in the Google Home app, I name my tv "TV."Does anyone know a solution how to fix this Any help is appreciated.
Using Google assistant my Sonos speakers are all recognised, but I always have to give the device name - it simply doesn't work unless I use a device name.Any ideas please?
Through cloud updates, Google Assistant has added the ability to set up Voice Match on voice enabled Sonos devices. This feature has rolled out to all households where Google Assistant is available. Voice Match allows you to teach the Google Assistant to recognize your voice. If you have multiple people using the Google Assistant on Sonos, you can set up Voice Match to provide user-specific responses and content based on who is speaking. This enables personalized results for the person asking Google Assistant questions. For more information about Voice Match, see the Google article here. Here are the steps to enable Voice Match straight from the Google article linked above: Link your voice To use Voice Match, you must link a Google Account to the Google Assistant device. If you have multiple Google Accounts, you can choose which account you want to use. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Home app . At the bottom, tap Home Settings . Under "Googl
My Sonos Speakers are connected to my Google mini, and I used to be able to say “Hey google, save this song” when I want to save a song to my Spotify library. I used to be able to do this when I played from the S2 app, and through the mini (Spotify Connect). It was a real nice feature because I discover new music by playing other people’s playlists, and being able to save songs this way was really convenient. However, now no matter how many I reset/unlink my Sonos/google system, I always get the response “Sorry I don’t understand.” It’s been happening for around 2 months now. Does anyone have this problem and can help me get this feature back? Thanks!
I have a Beam for about a year. Before, I was able to play music on my Beam normally by asking Google Assistant to play it from Spotify on the Beam. Recently I purchased couple of One gen 2 speakers and set them as surround. After that I’m unable to ask Google Assistant to play music on the Sonos. I also noticed that my Sonos is no longer listed as speaker on the “Media” menu in Google Home app. Now the app only detects my google nest speakers, but no sonos speaker.I can still play music using Sonos app or airplay, and all Google Assistant commands work perfectly. I have tried to reboot my Sonos and make them as single speakers, but still Google doesn’t detect the speakers in “Media” menu. Is there any bug that cause this or any change on Google policy that no longer allows non-Google speakers to play music using the google assistant?
My Sonos has been working great for 2 years on my Samsung TV. Yesterday it stopped working. Completely. Unplugged everything and plugged back in. Won’t recognize the connection. Unplugged HDMI and then back into ARC (same connection), tv says it’s trying to recognize connection, then nothing. Sonos still works for my phone connection, but can’t get it on my TV. Seems to be a common issue - Help.
I have tried multiple times to setup google assistant on my new Sonos Move. I am able to do this on my Sonos One SL,but the google app cannot find the move. Any suggestions how to fix this?
Hello,Im writing to start a discussion on the current state of the integration between Apple music, x Sonos and google assistant and the effects on the Sonos service.Ive gone to considerable effort and expense over the last year converting to Apple Music from Spotify, partly with an understanding Apple music works with sonos.Sonos also has Google Assistant integration. But these three things inexplicably will not work together, even though all services support one another. I feel like ive been really patient with this issue. For Sonos’ (and Apple, google’s) users, most will believe they are stupid, because they’ve set their products up wrong, or, that the sonos service doesnt work properly. They will not go to the lengths ive gone to to figure out its probably a business dispute. Its incredibly frustrating as a user that what seems to be a dispute between two or three of you, means we feel stupid, and our promised service experience remains broken. So I ask you all to get round the tabl
I’m trying to add YouTube Music to my account in the Sonos app as follows:Add YouTube Music. I already have an account. Add YouTube Music account Please use the following code… Authorize When I click on Authorize I get a popup that says “Use a Login to open”. I have a YouTube Premium account and I’m logged in to it so what’s going on?
Please help- I'm using Google assistant and it won't play music from YouTube. It will say sure and then "sorry I can't find what you asked for". Radio stations seem fine. But when asking for a specific band no dice.
I have just bought a new TV (LG OLED 48cx -= WEB OS 5). The sound output from the TV to the Sonos Arc works fine, but the google assistant won’t budge from trying to turn on the old Android TV box instead of interacting with the new TV. Old setup: antenna->Android TV with coax->TV with HDMI->Sonos Arc with TOSLINK to HDMI adapter (the Arc port on the the old TV was fried). With that setup, the Google assistant was able to turn the android TV on/off New setup: antenna→ LG TV with coax → Sonos Arc with HDMI through eArc port. The sound output works fine but the google assistant says “the living room TV is not available” when trying to gt it to urn the TV on/off.This morning I connected the android TV to the old TV upstairs to watch the Euro2020. The Android box is connected over wifi to the modem and with HDMI to the old TV, and when I asked the google assistant to turn the TV on, it switched the android box on over the network…I tried to uninstall it and reinstall + let it conn
Hi, I have Google assistant controlling a play 5 speaker, when I play music the volume from the Sonos is almost inaudible but the Google speakers are quite loud. How do you balance the volume levels and have them not fall out of sync when changing the volume in the future?
Is it possible to turn down the Assistant volume on the Sonos One independently of the music volume? I have my Sonos One fairly loud but don't need the Assistant to shout!
