Please help- I'm using Google assistant and it won't play music from YouTube. It will say sure and then "sorry I can't find what you asked for". Radio stations seem fine. But when asking for a specific band no dice.
I have just bought a new TV (LG OLED 48cx -= WEB OS 5). The sound output from the TV to the Sonos Arc works fine, but the google assistant won’t budge from trying to turn on the old Android TV box instead of interacting with the new TV. Old setup: antenna->Android TV with coax->TV with HDMI->Sonos Arc with TOSLINK to HDMI adapter (the Arc port on the the old TV was fried). With that setup, the Google assistant was able to turn the android TV on/off New setup: antenna→ LG TV with coax → Sonos Arc with HDMI through eArc port. The sound output works fine but the google assistant says “the living room TV is not available” when trying to gt it to urn the TV on/off.This morning I connected the android TV to the old TV upstairs to watch the Euro2020. The Android box is connected over wifi to the modem and with HDMI to the old TV, and when I asked the google assistant to turn the TV on, it switched the android box on over the network…I tried to uninstall it and reinstall + let it conn
Hi, I have Google assistant controlling a play 5 speaker, when I play music the volume from the Sonos is almost inaudible but the Google speakers are quite loud. How do you balance the volume levels and have them not fall out of sync when changing the volume in the future?
Is it possible to turn down the Assistant volume on the Sonos One independently of the music volume? I have my Sonos One fairly loud but don't need the Assistant to shout!
And suddenly, without changing anything to any settings my Dutch google assistant cannot locate my sonos speakers anymore. But the English google assistant does, really????.So deleted my speakers from google home, delete the assistant from the sonos app, re-installed the whole shabang but no go. Issue remains. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Hello, have been the owner of a sonos One for almost a week and it has not been any problem to talk to to ask it to turn on spotify for example, until yesterday. I myself have tried to troubleshoot where the solution is, as it is only spotify that has problems with voice control (not eg Ikea Wireless Lights). When I tried to change the language on it, all of a sudden it worked perfectly fine to tell the speaker to turn on the songs. Anyone been through similar problems and been able to
I bought a Sonos One from a local retailer who said it had google assistant, but when I tried to set it up, it said my country is not available. Is there a way around this? I’m fine using it in English Here’s the retailer link https://www.worten.pt/tv-video-e-som/home-audio/colunas-wi-fi/assistente-virtual-sonos-one-preto-google-assistant-e-alexa-preto-6557000image for posterity I feel like I’ve misled into buying a device that does not offer its cover features.I could have bought a cheaper device, if I didn’t want google assistant
Hi there,I was using google assistant on my Sonos One without any problem, and since yesterday, I have a problem : now if I ask vocally to play music on amazon or a radio on tunein like I was doing before, the assistant answers “one device at least is not available, I suggest you to configure it again...” (approximate traduction of the french message).I tried to reinstall Google Assistant using the Sonos Android App, but the problem persists.Note that I can play radios and music on the Sonos from my smartphone ; it’s only the Google Assistant of the Sonos One that does not seem to find how to play music on the Sonos One it self...
Sonos regularly beeps as if I’d asked it something and replies “I don’t understand your question” - it’s in an entirely different room and no-one is anywhere near it …. thoughts?
Hi there,For months I have been trying unsuccessfully to stop our Sonos Five from renaming itself. It keeps reverting to an old naming convention. We have a Google Nest Hub Max as well. I have tried troubleshooting many times with both Sonos and Google Support which has included factory resetting both the Google Hub and Sonos Five speaker and uninstalling/reinstalling the Google Home and Sonos apps but the problem recurs, usually the following day. Any ideas what might be causing this or how to resolve? Thanks!
Hi, when I ask Google to play a radio station it’s playing a different station from another country
When will google asistant be available for Sonos in Colombia?
I have two different rooms set up in the Sonos app (Living Room and Game Room). I see this reflected in the Google Home app. However, whenever I ask google to do anything for the Game Room (e.g. “Play music in Game Room”, “Set Game Room sonos volume to 30%”, etc.) it always executes for the living room.Is there a way to get the assistant to understand the different rooms?
Randomly stopped working would say try again in a second when giving any command. so i unlinked removed google assistant and then re added the sonos to google home and it will not find my devices. none of the forums topics etc that ive read through have fixed this issue and im seriously sick of having spent thousands of dollars for it to barely work. its absurd how expensive these products are for such terrible service. If anyone has a solution please let me know.
Is there any workarounds to support Google Voice Assistant here in the Philippines? Currently using Beam
For the last week or so Google Assistant on my Sonos One always plays BBC Radio 4 Extra instead of Radio 4 when I ask for it. It says playing ‘BBC Radio 4' but when you ask what's plays says R4extra. No issue with my Google Nest speakers and the same command, and other radio stations seem fine. I've tried rebooting and updating (it's on S2).Anyone else finding this? Any solutions?
When I ask my Sonos: "Hey, Google! Play Heart 80s". It replies with: "Playing Heart 80s on TuneIn". However, it then says: "Sorry I can't find what you asked for". This is really disappointing, because Alexa plays radio stations without any issues. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Exactly the same issue reported https://en.community.sonos.com/google-assistant-and-sonos-229109/google-assistant-does-not-play-radio-stations-6833977 and https://en.community.sonos.com/google-assistant-and-sonos-229109/google-assistant-has-problem-playing-tunein-station-6825633 Weirdly Sonos seems to just keep closing the issues so you can’t comment on. Very poor customer service. As described in the other issues - this is 100% a Sonos issue. The error comes after control is handed back from Google to Sonos and the exact same voice commands work on google home devices on the same network.
Recently my Google assistant broke. Upon asking Google something it said it's not connected.I removed assistant from the Sonos app and unlinked Sonos from the assistant app. Now when I try to set up assistant with the Sonos app it takes me to the Google home app to sign in with Sonos, which I do, then I'm met with the message "You need to link speakers to your Sonos account" Any ideas what's going on here? Looking in the Sonos app I can see the speaker and control it etc but just can't get passed that message when I go to set up assistant.
I’m having an issue with the Google Assistant on my Beam. For the most part it works fine. At night I use it to play ambient sounds, but for some reason the sounds stop playing within an hour or two. I’ve looked up the GA help pages on ambient sounds and they state that the sounds will play up to 12 hours unless cancelled. I’ve not seeing this at all on the Beam. If I use a GA mini then it plays all night without issue, but obviously the Beam has superior sound so I’d like to to play there. Anyone else had this problem or know of a fix? Sonos support just tried to pawn this off on Google, which might be correct, but it seems like from what I can tell a GA here is the same as a GA there.
With my Beam connected to my Sony Bravia A8 I have potentially 3 Google Assistant devices available to fulfill my requests. Which should I enable or disable (if any) and which gives me the most control over the TV (if any)given that the Sony is also an Android device with Google Assistant built in, the Beam is plugged directly into it using eARC/HDMI and has a direct connection for controlling it, and for good measure the Google mini in the kitchen can also hear my commands. Thanks for any advice you can give!
Figured this topic could use a boost. After reading Lazada reviews and the hapless salesperson confirming that yes, this works with Google Assistant lo and behold i’m facing the same problem.Changing the country profile doesn’t work either, and i’m not going to change my Apple store country and muck up everything else.I’m sure most of us here paid the premium expecting a Google-enabled smart speaker, only to find out the country doesn’t support it. What gives? I have a Google mini and all the Google functionality works, from my google home devices to spotify. Why not Sonos?
HiI’ve not given up at the first hurdle, but there appears to be more than one hurdleFYI we have multiple Google Home devices which work absolutely seemlessly (and cost about a fifth of the price)I bought a Sonos One and an One SL on Saturday. Downloaded S2. Created a stereo pair (in the kitchen) and after many attempts got Google Assistant on there and then managed to link my Spotify family premium account. Finally it works!Asked my wife and son to do the sameS2 will only use my account for the kitchen pair. Not ideal but ok. So I logged in on their phones and then we added their Spotify premium family accounts. Even after unlinking and relinking their Spotify account to Home Assistant when they try and play music we get told that their Spotify premium accounts need adding to HA and Sonos. Circles.…Its a bit rubbish. This is my first Sonos product Every post I find online says that everyone should have their own Sonos account but this isn’t an option as Sonos S2 defaults to my accou
I woke this missing to see that Google home removed most my devices... Only my Sonos move remained. I checked the Sonos app and the devices had vanished from there too. I have returned from work and with a restart of my router the reappeared within the Sonos app, but without Google Voice connected. I have tried to get the Google Voice assistant back on, but as soon as the app takes me to the Google assistant app, it either says it can't find devices or I get an error. Can anyone suggest what I can do? Some of my devices are showing twice in the Google home app, others are not there at all. Diagnostics is 623539210
I have an sonos setup of the Arc, Sub and two sonos ones including the sonos boost. When I want to setup the google assistant it tells me that I have to connect to the same wifi network. But I cannot connect with my google assistant to this network.I have two of this sonos systems and both has problems to get the google assistant working. Can you help me out what to do?Regards,
Hello! I have a Google Assistant on my Sonos One. When I give it a command while playing music or something on Calm through the Sonos app (eg “Hey Google, set an alarm for 6am”) it responds with its confirmation in the loudest voice relative to the background music. Firstly, is there a way to deactivate the voice confirmation? Secondly, is there a way to reduce the volume of the voice confirmations so it is quieter than the background music I’m playing?
