Google Assistant and Sonos

Is there any workarounds to support Google Voice Assistant here in the Philippines? Currently using Beam

For the last week or so Google Assistant on my Sonos One always plays BBC Radio 4 Extra instead of Radio 4 when I ask for it. It says playing ‘BBC Radio 4' but when you ask what's plays says R4extra. No issue with my Google Nest speakers and the same command, and other radio stations seem fine. I've tried rebooting and updating (it's on S2).Anyone else finding this? Any solutions?

When I ask my Sonos: "Hey, Google! Play Heart 80s". It replies with: "Playing Heart 80s on TuneIn". However, it then says: "Sorry I can't find what you asked for". This is really disappointing, because Alexa plays radio stations without any issues. Recently my Google assistant broke. Upon asking Google something it said it's not connected.I removed assistant from the Sonos app and unlinked Sonos from the assistant app. Now when I try to set up assistant with the Sonos app it takes me to the Google home app to sign in with Sonos, which I do, then I'm met with the message "You need to link speakers to your Sonos account" Any ideas what's going on here? Looking in the Sonos app I can see the speaker and control it etc but just can't get passed that message when I go to set up assistant.

I’m having an issue with the Google Assistant on my Beam. For the most part it works fine. At night I use it to play ambient sounds, but for some reason the sounds stop playing within an hour or two. I’ve looked up the GA help pages on ambient sounds and they state that the sounds will play up to 12 hours unless cancelled. I’ve not seeing this at all on the Beam. If I use a GA mini then it plays all night without issue, but obviously the Beam has superior sound so I’d like to to play there. Anyone else had this problem or know of a fix? Sonos support just tried to pawn this off on Google, which might be correct, but it seems like from what I can tell a GA here is the same as a GA there.

With my Beam connected to my Sony Bravia A8 I have potentially 3 Google Assistant devices available to fulfill my requests. Which should I enable or disable (if any) and which gives me the most control over the TV (if any)given that the Sony is also an Android device with Google Assistant built in, the Beam is plugged directly into it using eARC/HDMI and has a direct connection for controlling it, and for good measure the Google mini in the kitchen can also hear my commands. Thanks for any advice you can give!

Figured this topic could use a boost. After reading Lazada reviews and the hapless salesperson confirming that yes, this works with Google Assistant lo and behold i’m facing the same problem.Changing the country profile doesn’t work either, and i’m not going to change my Apple store country and muck up everything else.I’m sure most of us here paid the premium expecting a Google-enabled smart speaker, only to find out the country doesn’t support it. What gives? I have a Google mini and all the Google functionality works, from my google home devices to spotify. Why not Sonos?

HiI’ve not given up at the first hurdle, but there appears to be more than one hurdleFYI we have multiple Google Home devices which work absolutely seemlessly (and cost about a fifth of the price)I bought a Sonos One and an One SL on Saturday. Downloaded S2. Created a stereo pair (in the kitchen) and  after many attempts got Google Assistant on there and then managed to link my Spotify family premium account. Finally it works!Asked my wife and son to do the sameS2 will only use my account for the kitchen pair. Not ideal but ok. So I logged in on their phones and then we added their Spotify premium family accounts. Even after unlinking and relinking  their Spotify account to Home Assistant when they try and play music we get told that their Spotify premium accounts need adding to HA and Sonos. Circles.…Its a bit rubbish. I woke this missing to see that Google home removed most my devices... Only my Sonos move remained. I checked the Sonos app and the devices had vanished from there too. I have returned from work and with a restart of my router the reappeared within the Sonos app, but without Google Voice connected. I have tried to get the Google Voice assistant back on, but as soon as the app takes me to the Google assistant app, it either says it can't find devices or I get an error. Can anyone suggest what I can do? Some of my devices are showing twice in the Google home app, others are not there at all. Diagnostics is 623539210

I have an sonos setup of the Arc, Sub and two sonos ones including the sonos boost.When I want to setup the google assistant it tells me that I have to connect to the same wifi network.But I cannot connect with my google assistant to this network.I have two of this sonos systems and both has problems to get the google assistant working. Can you help me out what to do?Regards, 

Hello!  I have a Google Assistant on my Sonos One.  When I give it a command while playing music or something on Calm through the Sonos app (eg “Hey Google, set an alarm for 6am”) it responds with its confirmation in the loudest voice relative to the background music.  Firstly, is there a way to deactivate the voice confirmation? Secondly, is there a way to reduce the volume of the voice confirmations so it is quieter than the background music I’m playing?    

I don’t think there has been an answer on this one?  I have seen may people have asked.  Until last week I was able to ask my google home mini to ‘Hey Google - play <insert radio station> on Play 5. Google would say “ok, playing <radio station name> on Play 5.  Now, its says “ok, playing <radio station name> on Play 5…. sorry i can’t find what you asked for.  driving me mad.  Has anyone found the answer?  Have uninstalled the voice service from the Sonos app.  Have take off and re-added Tunein. Diagnostic:  534294251

I can’t set google assistant voice service.I have tried different wifi, different ethernet provider, connecting via ethernet cable, rebooting, reinstalling app. I always get and connection problem error.How can I fix this? 

Hey guys, I’ve noticed kind of a weird problem that happens with my Sonos speakers and using google voice commands to play music via Spotify. I was curious whether anyone else noticed the same problems. Normally, when asking Google assistant to play music (again through Spotify,) everything works as expected. However, I’ve noticed that, if I use the Sonos app to select/play something w/ my phone, and then later try using a google voice command to play music, Google assistant will acknowledge that the song will be played, but nothing happens. If I repeat myself and ask a second time, it will play properly, but I’ve notice that every time I try doing a voice command to play music after having used the sonos app to play music earlier, I always have to say the command twice before it’ll play properly.  Does this happen to anyone else using Spotify w/ Google assistant? Thanks. 

If I’m listening to music at volume 5 or 6 for example, and ask Google to play music or another command, the VOICE IT FAR TOO LOUD, I have to plug my ears.How do i change this?Google speakers used to have a voice setting for the voice volume, this is no longer there.Any updates?

I have a Beam in the lounge with two One SL’s as surrounds. Google Assistant works fine on this setup. I have just bought the Roam and when trying to add the Google Assistant, it simply does not find the device. I have now tried it several times, both through Google Home and also starting within the Sonos app. I removed Google Assistant from my Beam and tried again in Google Home, it found the beam instantly … but not the Roam. Ugh. The Roam is on my network, I can play Spotify through it, I can add it to other speakers to play the same music concurrently (speaker groups?) … but I can’t add Google Assistant … as Google Home just cant find it! Frustrating to say the least. 

I'm not sure if other assistant enabled devices have this issue, but the Google assistant on the beam has become pretty useless.I've set the default speaker for the beam to be the beam itself, but I still have to say what room/speaker I want the music to play on.If I ask to skip the song, or change the volume, I get the response "something went wrong". Even with voice match and Spotify premium, getting a playlist or most music to play only work about 40% of the time.The only way to make things work is to use some other Google home device to handle commands and set the beam as a default speaker.Does anyone else find the beams assistant integration lacking? Is there a fix?

Reaching out to the community after multiple attempts via Chat and over the Phone to support at Sonos, and trying multiple recommended solutions. I’m having this weird issue where my Sonos Arc (purchased Nov of last year) will not work with Google Assistant after an unknown length of time. I have set up Google Assistant and it will work find for an hour, 5 hours, a day, maybe sometimes even a week - then all of a sudden when I say “Hey Google”, it will just tell me “There was a glitch, try again in a few seconds” or “Something went wrong, try again in a few seconds”. I have tried the following:removing Google Assistant and re-adding multiple times removing Sonos from my Google Account multiple times unplugging Sonos Arc and plugging back in multiple times tech support made some updates to DNS settingsAfter each of the above, the Arc will work for a little period of time, then randomly go back into the “T

I — like apparently so many others — have tried a million times to get Google Assistant connected to my Beam. It worked some years ago, but I must have made some changes... Anyway, I now got it to work by unlinking the Sonos account (which must have been created years ago) on Google. You want to go to your matching Google account and under ‘Security’ click on ‘Linked Accounts’. There, if you have an old Sonos account, unlink that. And then go back to Google Home (or the Sonos app, I guess) and do the normal procedure for adding a device. Seems like this has been an ongoing issue but wanted to bring back to attention the inability to create speaker groups with sonos and google home products despite sonos being available with google assistant.  Hoping someone has a work around or at least that sonos is moving towards this?  Frustrating to use all other features of google assistant but this.

I can't add Sonos to Google's Home or add Google Assistant to my Move. Both approaches fail after giving my Sonos credentials, telling me to register speakers to my account. I have 10 speakers registered to this Sonos account! I used to have it all working, specifically allowing me to use my Sonos Port as the default speaker for a bike mini, in my kitchen. This all broke, so I removed the integrations and started again. But it added my V1 Connect, not my V2 system. So I moved my V1 Connect to a new Sonos account, leaving all my V2 stuff on the original account. Now I get this issue when trying to add Google Assistant integration to my V2 system account.

I also have a Roomba that works flawlessly with a Google Home Mini, but I can't control it with the Google Assistant through my Sonos One.Can someone help me with this problem?

My Sonos Roam is on a shelf in my office. If I'm in another room in the presence of a Google device (Home or Home Mini) and ask it to play music, the Google device answers me but the Roam, in another room, plays the music.  The Roam isn't responding to the query directly, but somehow it ends up playing the music anyway. How do I stop it doing that, so the music will come out of the speaker that's responding to me? This didn't happen before I had the Roam (eg the two Home devices didn't steal audio from each other). I had considered turning the Roam off as a workaround, by holding the power down for 5 seconds, but after a while it always turns back on again by itself so that's not a solution. Any ideas gratefully received!

I purchased roam two days ago and I'm having trouble since then. I use google assistant. When i ask it to play a specific song, the song is played but then it just stops unlike google home which keeps on playing similar kinda songs. Same as that problem when i ask it to play a specific song and ask it to skip the song it says ''sorry, something went wrong with sonos roam!!""And sometimes when i ask it to play something it replies 'alright playing ____ in youtube music but nothing plays!!Can someone help me with these issues?
