Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I'm fed up with Sonos products that can't stream music from my Apple Music service. I'm not even talking about the multiple bugs with speakers that lose connection to the network or the app that changes the name of the speakers as it pleases. I'm going to abandon this brand that is getting worse every year if all the problems aren't resolved quickly.

Hello community,Since yesterday I couldn't re-authorise Tidal since I did a reset of System on my Move 2.I´m 100% I´m using the correct email and password, for it does go thru the login… yet smapi.tidal.com keeps giving this:  

I have Ultra ARC and that is running well connect to our wifi system (Ruckus) however Sonos Sub 4 canoot connect (Sometime can connect but arround 10-15 second that is disconnected).and i need to make sure, Sonos using dual stack(IPv4 and IPv6 on this devices) for connectivity? if yes  then its possible for them to allow only IPV4 on this Sonas Device? Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

I have two Sonos system, one system with Sonos 2 app, and newer devices, and one system with Sonos 1 app and a connect device that does not funcion with Sonos 2 app.Since a couple of days Sonos is preventing me from using the Sonos 1 app. Instead they are showing a screen, instructing me to use the new Sonos app (which is impossible with the Connect device).Anyone else experincing this?

I know that Sonos speakers are limited to playback of 24/48 files.  I know that the Sonos system will convert 24/192, 24/96, 24/88.2 files to 24/48.  Does it also up convert 24/44.1. My real question is, is it better to allow the Sonos system to convert the files on the fly to the 24/48 resolution or would using a third party app to make the conversion to 24/48 prior to playback be a better option?  Would there be any gain/loss in performance and sound quality by converting those files prior to playback on Sonos equipment

Hi all, I’ve read a few comments where people have had similar experiences regarding loss of personally curated playlists, so assumed mine had disappeared into the Sonos ether for good, after  disastrous app update. I’d resigned I wouldn’t purchase Sonos again (6 speakers in!). However, just went to start over and when I went to add/save a song, all my previous playlists appear! I’m now hoping they’re still there somewhere but I just don’t know how I can access them? Any advice 🙏 

I would like to be able to switch between my favorite sources in a simpler way by having a “PLAY” option for each Sonos Favorite on the home screen rather than having to select the station then pick play. If you want to switch between stations currently it’s a couple unnecessary steps to go back to home, pick another station, then start playing that station. If you could pick “PLAY” somehow (like the added red play buttons below) for each station directly from this screen, you could much more easily switch stations if you don’t like a song or want to switch for another reason while simply staying on the same screen. 

Can’t tell you how disappointed I am with Sonos allowing  1st and 2nd gen products us on their apps - example I have a gen1 connect amp that ran my (bose500) outdoor speakers for many years.My daughter 18th birthday came along (hadn’t used them for 6 months)went to check all working, only to find the amp is not “compatible” with S1 app.myself anD my son (great tech knowledge) tried for hours to get to work, kept telling us to upgrade Sonos App only to find it timed out (we think because it couldn’t find compatible products, but that’s the point we could confirm ANYTHING.We then had to scramble for other music options.now I’m a fan of Bose and UE PRODICTS.so much easier and seamless to use.Sonos have the lost the plot. I wonder if this “non-comparability” issue is an attempt by Sonos to get me to upgrade, which I may well have done if this didn’t happen.there is literally nothing SONOS can do to getme spend another $ with

Why still no multi genre tag support?

I've just moved house and have a new WiFi router so my network settings are different to the ones previously used on my Sonos One. I'm following the instructions on connecting my product to my new WiFi, it plays the audio chimes and I press the button when the light flashes white and green, but when it comes to putting my WiFi password in (it's definitely the correct password) it says There was a problem connecting your Sonos One to ". I'm assuming that my WiFi Network Name should be between those last quotes. The only other things I've been prompted to do to fix this is turn the product off and on, and do the same with my router, neither of which were successful. 

Hi I am a custom installer and we did a restaurant with 10 Sonos ONE SL’s. About 2 years after the install we had two of them sound like the speaker was blown, they were working fine but just sounded terrible. We sent them to our distributor and they advised us that the speaker is blown and we should  reach out directly to Sonos, which we did. They approved a RMA replacement even though they were out of warranty which we were very grateful for. Less than a year after these two blew we have had another two blow but now Sonos does not want to give an out of warranty RMA. I have come across other posts on this forum with the exact same issue and what looks like a Sonos representative stating they would replace the units if they were blown and not up to standard.Were these units defective which caused them to blow and if the tw

Hi , I have a Move and Port in the same network . If I try to connect my Move to my Iphone app S2 the Move isn’t accessible. I need to make a Group with my Port to chose a Station and then disconnect the Port to be able to connect to my Move . Over voice control the Move is  accessible alone ? Before i have the Port i used my Move with a old Play5 with the App S1 . After replacing the Play5 ( defect ) with a new Port I switched also to the app S2Is there a problem with the Move ( 1st Generation ) and the app S2 ?  

As with many others, since last years software update I cannot use my music library properly. Album listings are all messed up and re- installing the library doesn’t change anything. I am also struggling to re add the library as Sonos insists on it being done as  local user, which I do not normally do. I log on with my microsoft account as I did before the update but all I get is error 913. I have logged on with a local account and get the same result. Folder sharing as a far as I can see is set up correctly. There is no sign of Sonos addressing this issue, they just appear to assume that everyone is streaming their music from the web. Any suggestions welcome.

I have a Roam speaker. It's a DVT model. Since I try to think eco friendly I mostly want to repair stuff. My bass speaker is ratteling. Since there is no warranty on this device. Is there any possibility to repair/replace that speaker and not to throw it on the wastpile.Kind regards

Hi All,I have not seen this request.Unless I have overlooked this, I propose to Sonos developpers to add it: Sonos controller would be able to play a preview (10 seconds or user defined duration) of every track on a folder or on an album.At the time of Compact disc, some CD players (SONY, Technics, Onkyo, etc.) had this already 30 years ago.Probably an easy one to add. Can also add the functionality to play this discover mode with skips, say play all the songs in a folder or album with playing 10 seconds of a tracks by skips so we get to discover the beginning, the middle and the end of tracks. Very useful for DJ’s like. Currently doing it manually when preparing a show. Hello, I just purchased (May 2025) a Sonos Move 2 speaker. Indeed superb!!! Connects fine to the current Sonos app. But the app will NOT find my Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar. I checked the Wi-Fi settings, all OK. I believe I read somewhere about the Gen 2 Beam not being compatible with the latest Sonos app. My router is an Eero 6, and on the Eero app it does show the Beam as connected at 2.4 GHz which is the right frequency. The Move 2 uses 5G. Would appreciate any advice.

I have an existing Sonos system that worked fine with my older Samsung TV.   I recently replaced the TV with another Samsung.   When I try to use the optical connection (one end in the TV and the other into the soundbar as with the other TV), all I get is chattering with nothing intelligible.  It doesn't matter if it is DISH, Netflix or Amazon.  Shouldn't it just work by plugging it in the same way? 

Used to sing praises of Sonos and usability.  What happened?  Is it the new app.  Spent over an hour just trying to get roam 2 connected to network then tried to use with roam gen 1 as a surround.  Not a fan anymore.  Won’t work.  How did things change with Sonos overnight????? 

It’s mind blowing the poor quality of the service you provide. I’m so tired of it.  How is it that every time I try to play music on my Roam I can’t! when I play music on my bean and other speakers through wifi and want to add my roam to the mix it doesn’t work. Whether through Spotify or Sonos app. I have to basically shut down everything and reset the Roam for it to play. What kind of tech is this? After so many complaints from customers and still buggy app.  You guys were supposed to add the controls from the lock screen. Nope still nothing. Even in the control center it doesn’t show up. (IOS) the app is useless. I 99% avoid it at all cost. Unless I have to connect a Roam. 

Hi, I have a question. I purchased an Arc Ultra Era 300 and an Era 300 Sub 4 a few days ago and I connected them together as surround sound, but I realized that if I put songs that don't support Dolby Atmos/Digital on, the Era 300 doesn't work, only the Arc Ultra works. Is it right to be concerned?

BEAM reset to factory settings and then go thru the add component optionsCompletes and get the message below - no Beam anywhere after unplugging - nothing to do in system Settings either.      

Can you guys seriously listen to the consumer?! I see several feature request for a schedule, timer, or auto shut off for Night Sound and Speech Enhancement?! Since having a kid it’s constantly left on for days sometimes weeks till I wonder why my system sounds off then remember to check. The worst of it for Sonos is that I’ve tried to show off my system a couple times to family/friends while wondering why it didn’t have the kick or immersive sound only to realize after the fact that those settings were left on. I see several community and Reddit posts requesting this feature spanning several years. It longer feels like a nice to have feature and more of a nuisance at this point.
