How to set up my boost and play base to work with the s1 controller?

Best answer by AjTrek1

This assumes you have not setup a Sonos system with S1 App

  • Make sure both products have been factory reset. Click here for instructions.
  • Connect the Boost directly to your router via Ethernet cable.
  • Download the S1 App to your device
  • Select “create new system”
  • Select “Add speakers or components”
  • Add the Boost
  • Follow the instructions here to setup Playbase

Not a huge fan of using the BOOST, since Sonos has since retired it. I’d hang the PLAYBASE off of your WiFi signal, instead.

Well before all this, if they are running S2 currently you have to use the S2 app to reset them back to S1.
