Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Just pulled my old pair of Play 5 Gen 1s out for a listen. They still sound so good.  Does anyone know if they are capable of playing a lossless stream from Apple Music?  I’m playing it but there’s no “lossless” logo appearing as it does in the new Sonos app when using a compatible speaker.  I found a list of Sonos devices that don’t support lossless and the Play 5 isn’t on it so I assume it can support it - I’m just unclear whether it’s actually playing lossless due to the lack of the lossless logo.  EDIT - I’ve confirmed that Deezer HiFi is supported as you can see the track format is showing as FLAC.  Here’s the list of devices from Sonos: ”Can all Sonos products stream lossless audio from Apple Music?Most Sonos products can stream lossless audio from Apple Music. Hi all — hoping for some insights or a solid fix. I’m running a large Sonos setup (7x Sonos AMP, 1x Arc, 1x Sub Gen 3 unused currently) on a UniFi network with the following gear: UDM-SE USW Pro 24 PoE Multiple U6 Pro access points (Garage, Kitchen, Hallway, Master Bath) iOS devices with latest Sonos app  The SSID is unified (“LifeIsGood”) across all APs (2.4 + 5 GHz, same VLAN), and most of the Sonos AMPs are wired into the switch (see attached screenshot of MACs labeled SonosZP).    ❗Problem:  The Sonos app fails to find the system on my iPhone unless I am physically near the Kitchen AP. As soon as I roam to the office or other APs, the app shows: “No products found on LifeIsGood” Once I return to the Kitchen AP — it all comes back and works perfectly.    ✅ What I’ve checked so far:  Client Device Isolation = OFF Fast Roaming = OFF Multicast Enhancement = OFF (but willing to test ON) Multicast/Broadcast filtering = OFF Proxy ARP = OFF Same SSID for all APs (non-hidden) No VLAN separa

Arc Ultra soundbar is my first Sonos piece. I cannot use it because it keeps demanding I sign in as system owner.

My system is a Roam, OneSL, Play:1 and Connect.  All four appear in the app and disappear, reappear if I recycle the power on an individual unit. For some reason both the OneSL and Play1 are no longer able to play. When I select a source on the App I get “Couldn’t play content, try again” and “something went wrong” This has only occurred recently, but can’t identify any specific date. Nothing in my network has changed.Both the Roam and connect perform as normal. Any clues?

Hi,When playing music from the the Sonos App on Apple Music, I keep encountering connection issues - songs not being able to play or skipping or play halfway and skip…This issue happened last year, with one of the App update, this issue seemed to be resolved for the most part until recently. Recently, I have not been able listen a full album or playlist on Apple Music. The issue appears to be more severe when playing Dolby Atoms format, but also happens to other lower quality formats too. Only when playing on Apple Music.I tried remove Apple Music and re-add, reset my systems etc. Not helping. Contacted Sonos support multiple times, they kept defer this to my wifi connection/interference, which does not make sense as this is not happening when playing music on Spotify.Anyone else experiencing this?

I have two Sonos Connects and two Sonos Amps. (4 zones). All managed by Control4 and all worked fine until I upgraded the C4 controller to a Core3 and at the same time upgraded the C4 OS from 3.2 to 3.4.3. Now volume control of the Sonos Amps is fine, but volume control of the Sonos Connects does not work. The Connects go to either 100% or 0% when voluyme is adjusted. Both Connects line out settings are ‘passthrough.” C4 had no solution. Any ideas. The Connects are worthless in their current volume control state.John

Apologies if this has been answered but I can’t seem to find the exact answer.   I’ve built a golf simulator in my basement and wanted to place a Sonos Soundbar behind the screen for audio.  Can choose from either Sonos Playbar or Sonos Beam if it makes a difference.I have a media cabinet built into an adjacent wall about 20’ away from where the soundbar will be.  Media cabinet will house golf simulator computer, gaming systems, Apple TV, and an AV Receiver.   Can I use a Sonos Connect or Sonos Port with the AV Receiver audio output to connect to the Sonos Soundbar to play the audio from whatever the media source is?  Or how can I best connect the Sonos Soundbar to the AV receiver recognizing they are kind of duplicative in function.   thanks, 

Have connect my Beam 2 to my Samsung QE55Q90TATXXU via the HDMI ARC socket.  The problem I have is that the TV automatically plays through the Beam even if the Sonos app is set to TV auto play off. When changing the audio source to TV speakers it automatically switches back to the Beam which I prefer not have when just watching stand TV programmes. Any idea how to change this. TIA

So my beam is all set up with my tv. It looks like it’s playing sound but it’s not.i have a Samsung tvi can play music from the beam through the app but I can’t get any sound from the tv.please can anyone help 

I have just purchased a new Sony Bravia tv and attached my arc ultra to it. The sound is great until I switch off the tv for maybe 10 mins or more. When I switch the tv back on after this short period, there is no sound coming through on the soundbar. The only way I can resolve it is to switch off the power on my arc ultra and switch back on again which seems to work until the next time. 

My morning alarm has become increasing unreliable. I have a Sonos One in my bedroom. Recently, I was getting chimes more often than the music I had set up. I tried all the basics before resorting to a total rebuild. I have 14 Sonos speakers - the oldest are a pair of play:3 from 2013. I unplugged everyone. I unplugged my router and range extenders. I factory reset every speaker. Factory reset the router and range extenders. Set up the router and range extenders making sure latest firmware and keeping most default settings. Once I was happy wifi was working, I created a new Sonos account and added every speaker. All good. That was a week ago. Since then my daily wake up alarm has worked once.I have Spotify family plan and we have an unused account which is only used by Sonos for alarms. When I play directly from Spotify App the music plays. When I pick the Spotify service in the Sonos App, it plays. Hi everyone, This is a very beginner-oriented question, but I have gathered the following: Airplay 2 only supports stereo output For Dolby Atmos, one needs to use HDMI eARCMy (near future) setup is: XGIMI Horizon Ultra projector Apple TV 4K Sonos Arc Ultra (only sound output so far)My question is: in this configuration (i.e. one single output, the Sonos Arc Ultra), what do I lose if it outputs stereo sound, vs. dolby atmos?  The reason behind my question is because I want to keep wiring clutter down to a minimum - and my plan currently is to connect my apple TV to the projector via HDMI, but to attempt to airplay sound to the Arc Ultra (to avoid having an HDMI cable crossing the entire room). Thanks in advance for the help, and apologies for the naïve question. 

Still hoping for this update. Crazy that it is such an expensive speaker but we haven't been able to use the main driver!! Is there any way to use it yet??? 

Hi, I have two Sonos fives ( latest version) setup as a stereo pair, when attempting to watch the tv with the sound coming from the Sonos speakers, the vocals are really low in comparison to everything that’s happening in the movie…… is this because I need a dedicated center or is it something else that I’m doing wrong

Hello, what does error 1066 mean, please ?I reset all my speakers (system suddenly not found), and this message appears when the update check begins just before the speaker installation process is complete and I have no choice and I have to leave the configuration.PS : I haven't changed any of my network settings. The message of my screen capture in english is : A problem occurred while checking for the update. 

I tried searching for the topic posted, but I couldn’t find any assistance to my specific problem.I have a Onkyo TX-NR6100 and a Sonos Port. The setup was easy on my 20 year old Denon receiver, but sadly that died, and I saw the “Works with Sonos” on the receiver I purchased thinking it would be a simple replacement. Hi I just moved into a new house and it came with a 2009 Speakercraft audio home system. The wires are 16 gauge and i believe it is an mzc 66 system. I bought a Sonos Amp and am trying to connect it to the speakercraft connector which is a 16bit plug covered in plastic.After calling a local professional who analyzed the photos I gave him, I was told that I need a Niles 4 room speaker selector in order to get it working. I was wondering if that is the only alternative and if so how would a 16bit plug connect to it? I’m new to Audio technology so any insight would be great appreciated.

 Some songs come through really loud and others quiet. I believe this has something to do with dynamic range compression & mastering. I think the spotify app allows this as an option if using airplay. I see that Sonos doesn’t have this currently. They have volume limit, but thats not what I’m looking for. Any ideas if this is a future feature or how to request this as one?Note: I’ve seen other topics related to NOT wanting volume normalization and/or respecting meta tags from other sources. But, this question is more about an option to auto apply volume normalization across music and services. This way regardless of how the song is mastered all songs will be roughly at the same volume level. Its exhausting having to change the volume when different songs play on a playlist either from a music service attached to sonos or from a sonos playlist.

Hi, I just got my ace and I like it. But it has a small problem: it cannot remember the volume setting. Each time I turn on it and connect to my iPhone it will go back to 50% volume, not matter the level in the last use. My comfortable volume is 30% so I need to adjust it each time I use it.Do anyone know how to fix it? Thx.

Hello Sonos Community.  This is my first post, and its a question I am hoping someone else has solved already.  My system:Arc Sound BarEra 300 x 2Gen 3 SubApple TV 4KSony Bravia 8 (K-77XR80) I am looking to use the eARC HDMI port on my TV with my Apple TV, however from what I understand I have to use that port for my Sonos sound system as well.  Meaning I have one port, and I need two on the TV. Does any one know of or can recommend an eARC Extender(Does that exists)?  I am hoping there is such a thing so I can plug the Apple TV HDMI cable and the Sonos HDMI cable into the same eARC port on the Sony TV.I am wanting to get the most from the Apple TV as far as sound / video goes and I cannot do that if the Sonos System is using the only eARC port on the TV. Thoughts? Thanks,Daze (Jeff)

My kitchen Sonos One SL which worked for 4 years mostly without issue, has just started losing connection to wifi while the other half of the stereo pair (another Sonos One SL) continues to play. Swapping places, changing rooms, even wired over LAN, the problem continues. At times it breaks the app and the entire room they’re in completely drops from the app. Sonos team on X (Twitter) are gracious, even DM me at all hours, but some of the call center techs are argumentative and give me bad troubleshooting advice about this issue.  BTW I also have a Sonos Ultimate immersive Set (Arc+Sub3+dual Era 300s) that play without issue on the same WiFi. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and welcomed. Thank you.

Bonjour, à ce jour j’ai une sonos Five pour recevoir l’input du son de mon vidéo projecteur et ensuite le link avec mes One SL je vais déménager et je ne pourrais pas avoir la place pour ma Five donc je me demande si je prends une era 100 et que je mettes l’input sur celle ci, cela fonctionnerait  je pensais prendre une era 300 pour garder cet impact de son mais elle serait dans une niche donc cela créerait une réverbération beaucoup plus élevée qu’une 100 merci d’avance pour votre réponse !

I’m upgrading my surrounds from Sonos one SL to eras 300. I used to invert my Sonos one SL when they were mounted (following sanus guide). But I’ve been reading that there is no need to invert them.  Should I invert my eras 300 based on my living room photos?  Am I supposed to angle the eras 300 towards the listener(tilt down) or towards the tv (straight)?
