Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi,I have a Sonos Connect:Amp. As I changed my WiFi provider I had to reinstall the Sonos item. As I went through the process, it ran an update and I got error message 1,108. For some reason find anywhere what this error code supposed to mean. Can anybody help? Below a screenshot from the error message.

I have the news as my alarm every day, but if I forget to turn off the loudness and sub, I wake up with a very loud sound. Is it possible to set the alarm with custom EQ and sub settings?

I purchased the Sonos Move 2 years ago. This past Sept I ran into the issue where it wasn’t firing back up, despite my trying to reset it. So I purchased a replacement battery, and was able to get it to work. The unit’s been sitting on its charger, hasn’t been used for a couple of months….and once again I can’t get it to turn on. So many others listing the same issue. What a disappointment this is. I purchased 3 amps, 3 subwoofers, 4 soundbars, and this Move unit….other units seem to be working fine but this Move issue really leaving a bad taste. Any suggestions?

I believe the Sonos Arc Ultra is broken. I have owned my full setup Arc Ultra/Sub4/Era300’s for a few days now and noticed almost immediately that the dialogue or centre channel was sounding a fair bit shrilling or harsh, so I messed with settings & re did Trueplay and nothing could make it sound right so I got hold of a Dolby Atmos test tone file 7.1.4  along with a DB meter & noticed straight away that the Centre channel is at least +6db higher than the FL & FR channels, this is beyond infuriating if you have any experience with AV and it appears there is no fix either. How on earth Sonos or reviewers do not even notice this is beyond me as any Dolby mix sounds awful because of it. I would not have bought the setup knowing this. It’s still in return window but it’s a big pain sending it all back. Has anyone got a fix or workaround for this problem?

Ever since I set up my speakers...first my Symfonisk pair, then Sonos Roam pair, and most recently a Sub Mini, they all randomly turn on and off. One minute my Right Symfonisk turns off...30 seconds later it’s back on. The Sub Mini (paired with Symfonisks) is on one minute, then off and I can’t get it back on. Turn the volume up and down and sometimes it will turn back on. What’s the deal?Also, my Sub Mini will work with the Sonos App, but not when I play straight from Airplay/Apple Music.

My Mac updated, and now in one house, I can not access the existing system though the MAC app, it is still able to be controlled through my iPhone.  (here we have the newer equipment) At my other House, we are using the (Generation 1) S5,  and the S1 controller, the system was no longer found, so we did a hard reset on the speaker, now we can not get the speaker to connect to the router, we hard wired it into the router as it is the final step for set up, the message was that the speaker could not be found.   No sure how it was found enough to set up its own wifi signal, but when it came to connect it in to the router, it was not found.   

I currently have the Garden Series 8.1 system in the garden around my 16x36 pool. Most of the speakers in the garden face my house from the opposite side of the pool. I’d like to add outdoor speakers onto my house facing the pool to get better sound coverage across the entire yard and the patio that sits between my house and the pool.  Which outdoor speakers would be best to use on the house so that the sound produced by the Garden Series and outdoor speakers sounds roughly the same? Does it really matter? The sound will sort of overlap in some areas, especially on the patio.  in this setup I would connect the outdoor speakers on the house to a separate Sonos amp to create 2 zones. 1 for the pool and 1 for the patio. Appreciate any insight anyone has.

Hi, I'm looking into buying the S.M.S.L PL200 MQA-CD Player.  It has optical and coaxial outputs.  will I be able top connect it to one of my Play 5 (Gen 1) speakers? 

I may have missed it, but is there any way to room tune an Arc using Trueplay via the Sonos app on an Android phone ?  Or is there another way ?   Sonos is an 'ínteresting' voyage of discovery….

Hello everyone.A question about Sonos Era 300.The "Sonos voice Control" voice commands work well (I have those of ehco dot of Alexa but it doesn't understand anything and does what it wants) also on Tidal the voice commands work.Do I have any constraints if I don't have an Apple smartphone?As for bass performance, is the Five model or Era 300 better? (I can always add a Sub Gen3).Thank you very much for the answers.

When is the Sonos Five expecting a refresh?  I am on the fence to purchase one. I want the latest model.

FIX!!! (Ish).  I have this exact problem and just fixed it!  One month ago my playbar stopped recognizing volume controls from both my apple remote and my Samsung tv remote.  I spoke to Sonos and was told that the IR receiver was likely toast and it can't be replaced.  By complete coincidence the Spanish power outage fried my legacy google Chromecast device so I upgraded to a Chromecast 4k.  Just for giggles I thought I would try to set it up with Sonos as my new remote.  It worked in a second and is flawless!!  The IR receiver is fine!  I'm still convinced that a software update impacted these remotes.  If you are having this issue, try a Chromecast remote!

I feel that the volume steps when using the Beam 2 connected to an LG Oled TV using eARC is a bit too large when the volume is low. The volume control resolution in the app is better, but for some reason each press on the remote control for the TV adjust the volume 2 steps up/down. Has anyone else noticed the same? Any chance this could be fixed in a coming update?If number of volume steps on eARC is not possible to change, then maybe by having a non-linear volume scale (in dB) could be an option, i.e. having smaller steps in dB when volume is low and then increasing to current step size as volume goes up?

I can't seem to access my full Apple Music Library via the Sonos App. Only a feew albums here or there are available, some are greyed out whilst others are fine?  How can I fix this so I can play my full Apple Music Library

Having moved home and with new broadband provider, I am now trying to set up my Sonos system again with new router details.  My three Sonos products are all recognised having been connected by LAN lead.  I can see all speakers under “About Your System”. However when I click to change any of the settings I get asked to “Sign in as the system owner” but I already am signed in.  I have tried signing out and back in again but whenever I want to enter any of the settings I enter an endless loop of being requested to “Sign in as the system owner”.  Sorry, I know this is a common thread but I have not read how to get the app to recognise me (Sonos app 80.19.21, my iphone is iPhone SE iOS 18.3.2 Thanks

So, at the weekend I noticed that our Lounge (Arc, Sub & 2x Play 3) was missing from the App. As was the Port in our garden cabin.The rest of the house (Conservatory with a Sub & 2xOneSL, the Patio with 2xPlay1’s, a stand alone Play1 and the Kitchen with 2xOneSL & Mini-sub) were all working well. Note; one Play3 is hardwired, all other components work by WiFi. Port in Cabin is connected by Cat5 or 6 cable to a TP-Link router. Always worked fine.Back-story: Previously with Virgin Media - rubbish connection, drop outs etc. Tried with & without Boost, hardwired one Play3 etc to no avail. Switched to Sky Max Hub in September 24. Sky extender pod added to system in February 25 to help WiFi around house & get rid of black spots , all working great. Second extender pod added early March. We are now mid-March.I tried Factory Reset, re-adding the components, Rebooting each of the products and rebooting my Router, but none of it seems to work.The closest I get is that some pr

I have several Sonos products.Recently my Sonos Roam is not playing any sound.The battery is 100%. The volume is up.The unit is connected to my home network and showing music is being transmitted because I can see the music bars going up and down.Sonos support is non existent as they do it even answer my calls.Any help anyone???

I have had no end of problems since the new app was launched - mainly speakers dropping in and out, disappearing etc. last week I spent 2 hours on the phone to Sonos tech support, the upshot of which, they wanted me to re-configurE my router and sent an email with detailed and quite technical instructions. They told me to ring my ISO provider and they would be able to walk me through what needed to be done. I calleD my ISP provider and after another hour or so on the phone with them, the upshot was they would not help make the changes Sonos were requesting because they provide the router set for optimal performance and any changes would over-ride that and could cause malfunction. Personally, it seems ridiculous to me that Sonos are requiring their customers to modify their so that there system can work on them - my router is a very common one here in Australia and prior to the new app, there were zero issues with Sonos performance. Feels like a way of Sonos shifting blame for their cat

If I connect a CD player (AUX) with Sonos Connect Amp Gen 2, can I add a Sonos Sub Gen 2 to this setup? I am thinking that the Sub is wireless and the speaker/CD player connected to the Amp are wired. Will there be any delay? Or is it better with a third party wired sub?

Hi all. Hoping for feedback for something on my mind. I am no audiophile and only just started to listen to music late in life. I mainly listen to jazz, instrumentals and easy going songs. My Sonos gear is in my open plan living area.Been using a pair of Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 and a Sub Gen 2 on S1 app for better part of a year. Very happy. Sub made a world of difference.Then curiosity got the better of me and I bought a Sonos Connect Amp Gen 2 and a pair of mint Polk TSi100 bookshelf speakers and on S2 app. No active sub at the moment although I am passively looking for one.What I really want to know is could I get better quality of music listening from the 1st setup or 2nd setup provided I match correct speakers/sub.Any feedback will be appreciated.

When clicking on the button to show my Queue, it should bring up the current song being played. Instead, it brings up the start of the queue, forcing me to scroll and visibly “search” for the current song playing within my queue. 

Move, quit working, and is blinking an orange light. I tried to reboot by holding in the power button and nothing happens. Help

Sorry, if the suggestion already was made, but the forum search imo isn’t quite good and I didn’t get such results. So I‘m asking myself if it will be possible to add the new 3 step speech  enhancement for Arc Ultra also to other home theater devices like Beam2, Ray and Arc. That would be a great feature as long as there isn’t the option to adjust center level in tv mode like it’s supported for the rear channels. Would be nice if a mod pushes the idea forward. Or are there known limitations for the other devices that prevent them from getting the same option like Arc Ultra?
