Hello all, now I'm interested in play audio in DTS via music or with my PS5 via optical to my Ray, until now I have been not able to play well, always only plays audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 and never in DTS, I have a 2023 LG TV with pass-through activated and always is DD 5.1, there's a solution?

Hello everyone. I have spent many hours researching but I’m struggling to understand if I can pull off what I’d like to do.Our TV room has built-in, hard-wired speakers and a Fire TV Cube that provides all of our video streaming services as well as Amazon Music Unlimited. The Cube is hooked up to my receiver via HDMI so all of its audio goes to those speakers. I can walk into my TV room and ask Alexa to play jazz and she does. Life is grand.I want to expand this capability outside to the pool area, and since Amazon has no water-resistant Echo devices, I have ordered a Sonos Move 2. I was hoping to use the Cube’s Alexa to tell the Move 2 what to play before I head outside. I think this is possible?Ideally, I would like to also have the ability to ask the Cube’s Alexa to play jazz “everywhere” and have the same music playing in the TV room as well as the pool area, but this is where things get complicated. I don’t think the Cube’s HDMI output is part of MRM, so I started looking into how

25+ speaker household.  Every single one of my white era 100 speakers have slowly developed hairline cracks in the plastic white mesh grill, along the lower rim. The issue gets progressively worse with time until the plastic begins to fall off. No issues with the black speakers. They still look brand new  Seems to be an obvious manufacturing issue.  I’ve already replaced 3 speakers through support and yet this continues to happen. Support is now saying the warranty has elapsed even though I received the below email ?  Is there no path to have these replaced ?    

I cannot find a code at the bottom to add the amp to my system.Is it possible to get a connection without the 6 code?

Good Morning,I recently purchased a SONANCE MAG6.1 System w/ a Sonos AMP that I’m planning to setup in my back yard / patio area. I’m having trouble with deciding on the best placement for the 6 speakers+sub.I was leaning towards just covering the patio area, but may also consider covering some of the other back yard areas as well. With only one AMP in my configuration, however, it seemed like that may not be ideal in terms of adjusting volumes for the different areas of the yard.Would appreciate any advice you have. Please ignore all the brown grass in the photo - just had lawn irrigation installed a few weeks ago.  

HiIs there a timeline for when atmos willbe available through airplay? I have to use the Sonos app to take full advantage of my music subscription and era 300s and, I mean no disrespect, the Sonos app is a far inferior experience for browsing music. I almost don’t want to use my speakers because of this. So I guess I’d like to know if there is a timeline for either atmos through airplay or an improvement on the music browsing experience on the Sonos app. I’d be happy with either one.  For the app things like syncing favorites to Apple Music, lyrics wor would be great. Displaying artist’s top songs, then the albums instead of just a random list of albums songs and singles would be great too.

Can I use the TV Swap to move the audio from a Beam Gen2 to the Ace and at the same time use the Bluetooth microphone of the ACE connected to a PC?

Hi everyone,I’ve been using my Sonos Roam for just over 2 years. It is always plugged in via USB-C and connected to my WiFi network. Today, while I was listening to music at a moderate volume, the speaker suddenly started making a very loud and disturbing buzzing/crackling noise. The volume of the noise was much higher than normal playback, even though the music volume was nowhere near maximum.I tried to manually turn off the Roam, but it wouldn’t respond to any button presses. After about a minute, the noise stopped by itself. When I picked up the speaker, I noticed a strong burnt electronics smell coming from it.Now, it's turned off and I’m quite worried it might have a serious hardware failure.Has anyone else experienced something similar with their Roam?Is there anything I can try to reset it, or is it completely dead?Given that it seems like a hardware failure shortly after the 2-year mark, does Sonos offer any kind of support or goodwill replacement in cases like this?Thanks in a

Dear sonos support,While working with listening history tracking tools, I’ve encountered what seems a bug with how Sonos communicates with Deezer. Each time I listen to a track, the track is always put two times in the listening history: once the song is started and once song ends and going to the next one.Also each time I pause and restart a song the song is put once more in the listening history.The issue is not related to the tracking tool I’m using, it can be seen directly on Deezer webapp/mobile app.Maybe it’s related to the fact I’m still using Sonos S1 and didn’t upgrade to the new versions (I’m limited by my 1st gen play 5 speakers).

At last it seems A to Z scrolling of local library folders is back along with some Sonos Ace features including, it would seem, the long awaited Truecinema.  I can’t see the scrolling yet so assume it’s rolling out to devices over the next few days, how does that work though even I’m on the new versions?

I am attempting to have my Sonos one speakers set up as surrounds to my play bar but after they set up the left speaker shows as not connected and clearly I am not seeing them to adjust volume

Having purchased a new Sonos Arc Ulta, and with poor resale values on my less than 2 year old Arc I decided to move it to the dining room which I use as an office and pair it with my 2 Play 3s.That means that in the lounge I had the Ultra with two 300s and a sub mini and in the dining room the Arc with the 2 3’s Initialy it worked but then I began to wonder about the sound quality and discovered that the Arc was not playing but the two 3’s were. I reset it and it kicked in okay. Terrific sound when they are all going lol However I am left with the lights on the front of the arc which cycle as follows Solid WhiteSolid RedFlashing WhiteSolding OrangeFlashing Green Assuming that the white is the first light in the cycle however it could be any of them Any ideas how to fix  Many thanks

Hi all,I’ve just got Amazon unlimited music to replace YouTube music.  I’ve restarted router, iPad, android phone and all my speakers and deauthorized YouTube.  I authorized Amazon and all my playlists show, but they’re empty.  Sometimes they show up but disappear rather quickly.  I followed a few guides clicking the heart button on all songs but it’s the same.  All worked well with YouTube so can’t understand.  There’s only 5 playlists, maximum has 99 songs and probably 30 to 40 albums.   Deleted apps, reauthorized Amazon numerous times bu still nothing. Any help appreciated.Possibly go to Spotify if that better integration?Will

I currently connect my Sonosnet to my router via a play 1 that is part of the surrounds for my Arc home theatre setup, as it is the speaker nearest the modem/router. I’m looking at upgrading to Era 300s for the rears in this set up but am concerned that the connection to the router and impact on sonosnet will be a problem. Do any of you run this same connection to confirm it will work?

My family watched Wicked last night on Xfinity broadcast 4K/Dolby Atmos on Samsung Q85 TV, Sonos ARC, 300s and sub.  App shows room only achieved Dolby 5.1.  Any ideas?Sound is set to eARC, TV tested in standard and bypass. IDK... help. This is too much tech and $$$ to fail to deliver.  Thanks in advance.

Hi,I currently have a Sonos Ray + Apple TV4K ethernet + a TV with HDMI ARC.I connected my Ray to the TV using Optical and it is extremely annoying as I have to change the airplay to the Sonos each time i watch a new video on the Apple TV.My plan is to buy a Beam Gen 2 which should solve my problem. My question is: will i be able to seamlessly continue using my Ray as a secondary speaker connected to the Beam ? That is, everything my Beam plays, my Ray also plays ? Thank you

I have Sonos system with:Sonos OS S1, Version 11.15.2I want to connect it to a router which is running OpenWRT. I connected a USB drive to the router with my music library. Samba4 does not fit on the router, so I did install ksmbd-server. But my Sonos can not connect to it while on Windows I can map a drive to it (so sharing does work).Now my question:I’m completely confused if I need to use SMB1 or SMB2 on this router. When I read the posts about this then it seems that for a S2 system SMB2 is needed. Do S1 systems only support SMB1? I upgraded to the last Sonos software (11.15.2). Does that mean that I need SMB2 now for this S1 system too?I did read that ksmbd does not support SMB1. Is that the reason I can not get it to work? Can I somehow make this Sonos S1 system to support SMB2?

My Sonos library sits on my NAS (a QNAP device) in a subfolder:192.168.1.163//Multimedia/MusicThis Music Library shows up perfectly well in my Sonos app and I can play music happily from it.My source Music library sits on my Windows laptop, managed by iTunes.  I exported my playlists to “library.xml” as described in this article on Apple’s support sitehttps://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/itunes/itns2998/windowsI copied “library.xml” to the Music folder above, so it’s at the same level as artist folders, but not in a folder itself.I then re-indexed my library, but when I look at “Imported Playlists” within “Music Library” in any Sonos app (iOS, Windows, macOS) it’s empty.Can anyone advise where I’m going wrong? Many thanks,Chris

I’m new (and late I know!) to the SONOS world. I have 2 x ERA 100 speakers and I’d like to set them up in two different rooms, with the option to play just one speaker or both together as a house wide system. My plan is to add more to other rooms / garden once I’m up and running…..so if we have a party the whole house can be synced with the same music. I am totally confused as to whether this means I need two systems ( which then play together) or one system with multiple devices - can someone please help? I tried previously to follow the set up instructions and ended up with the speakers thinking they were a pair so there was no option to play just one of the two - plus certain songs then sounded off as they are made to play differently in the left and right speaker etc! 🤦‍♀️any help much appreciated - before I have to call customer services to walk me through things! thank you. 

Have seen various discussions about replacing a Sonos speaker with a new or different one, but the old one still shows in the app as “not connected”.  I could not find a way to manually make this “not connected” disappear from the app. Tried reconnecting and removing again but no luck.  However, by simply waiting 72 hours or so, the “not connected” stopped appearing and there was no reference to the old speaker in the app.  (This was replacing a Gen 3 with a Gen 4 sub, but should apply to any other speaker.)

I have a lot of older Sonos Speakers and a couple of newer ones. One newer one is a PORT which I downgraded to make it S1 compatable. Anyway I would now like to make the PORT S2 as I only use it on my HiFi and do not stream it to other devices. So I have managed to remove 2 Play 5s from my S1 app as part of the upgrade process but now I want to put them back. The SOnoS 1 app says I need to update so I cannot. The S2 app says devices incompatable or something. What is the quickest way to get my Port on S2 and all other devices back in S1. I seem to be stuck in a loop at the moment.

I just have to say it. More than a year after its introduction, the app still sucks. Balky, unpredictable, unresponsive. A year is too long! Why does Sonos refuse to go back to the previous version at least until they perfect the new version. I’m done. I haven’t bought any Sonos products since this debacle started and I’ve warned everyone I can not to buy either. Maybe someone will buy Sonos and fix the problems or bury them and put an end to this.

I have speakers that run on only one or the two available apps.  Is it possible to run some that work on Sonos 2 and the other speaker on Sonos 1?

I finally got to purchasing a mobile phone for myself. One of the first things I wanted to do is use the Sonos app with my android phone. Until now, I’ve been using the app on my computer for years. First off, the phone will not load the playlist on my external drive into the queue. Never been a problem with the computer app. It gives me the informative message “Unable to add to queue”. No matter what I do, it will not create a queue from my playlist - very disappointing. Second, why in comparison is the computer app so straightforward and easy to navigate while the phone app is very confusing and frustrating? I was going to purchase a Move for my wife, but she will never be able to navigate that convoluted set up. The computer applications is so simple and practical - why complicate it?
