Trying to decide best placement for my 2 rear ERA 300 speakers. I want to place them higher up on the wall close to the ceiling, I know the ideal distance is 1-2 feet below the ceiling for wall mounts. I don't want them in the middle of the wall.Option 1)I think this will be best placement, but it's both speakers to the right & left of the circle mirror. This would allow me to place them 1-2 feet below ceiling. The entire wall is 9 feet wide, so it would allow about 7.5-8 feet between the speakers.Option 2)The archway really complicates things because if I mount it in the middle of the archway it's way too close to the ceiling. So I could mount it all the way to the right side of the picture, because of the archway, I would only be able to get the speaker about 10" from the ceiling, the 2 speakers would be about 20 feet apart.Any advice is appreciated!Option 1Option 2Any help is appreciated!  I know the archway does not make for the ideal situation!

what sonos is doing is that they want your location, and it does not matter to them.Sonos is a speaker and local access from my phone to the speaker is all that’s needed to stream .This is an inconvenience. I use VPN as a form of protection . I pay for my subscriptions and sonos is just a casting service. Sonos is getting more and more intrusive for a speaker company . 

Prior to updating the app, I had a number of custom streaming radio stations whose URLs I had painstakingly curated using the (old) TuneIn service.After updating the app, where are they? Gone!Does the new app have the ability to configure streaming radio by URL? Nah, I didn’t think so.

I tend to use the Sonos Windows desktop app as I work from home and it is easy for me to pause the music although I now sometimes use the voice command but does not work well when music is at a high volume. However, I seem to be having trouble re-authorising the Apple app.A week ago my Sonos desktop app asked to be re-authorised.My new shiny Sonos IOS app continued to work okay but I re-authorised it anyway Took about 3 attempts before I could play  using the desktop app. Now not even a week later the destkop app is aksing to be re-authorised again.I have done it again but it still wont play. In between it has been working okay and my IOS app still works on Apple music Thoughts?

What sets SNOS apart in terms of user interface and experience?

I have three sound bars in three separate rooms.  Arc (family room), Beam (attic), Beam (master bedroom).The Arc and the Beam in the attic room have a linked volume, but they are not grouped and are not playing the same media. For example:  If I am listening to music on one, and someone is watching TV on the other, the volumes raise and lower together as each user changes the volumes for their media in their room. This does not happen with the other Beam in the bedroom.  Any ideas what's up, or how to fix this issue?  I have tried grouping with other rooms, ungrouping, etc. Thanks!  

Hi How do I create a song queue in the new sonos app?  Am I doing something wrong .  I used to pass the phone around at gatherings and everyone used to add songs to the queue.   Or I’d find an artist and play the top tracks list.   Have both of these features vanished, these were my main ways of listening , or am I doing something wrong? If these features have vanished is there any work around or third party controllers so I don’t have to use the sonos app?

I want to clear the queue on my now playing screen, but it does not give you the option to clear ?I have tried calling Sonos but unable to get throughPlus since the new update, I’ve had nothing but troubleand you can never get through to Sonos when you want to speak to somebody I’ve had my system for many years now, I’m getting to the stage I’m actually fed up with  the system as it doesn’t work right They need to get their act together you pay all this money for speakers  and  you have all this trouble 😡 

Since the update to version 80.04.04, the RadioPlayer no longer works. "An error has occurred with Radioplay, please try again later." It is currently not possible to listen to the local radio station via Sonos. Please urgently request a bugfix.System iOS App.Best regards Sandra

Just installed the iPad version. Definitely do not like the app compared to the old one.The new app feels way more busier, due to everything being thrown at you at once (which was their design intention). I’m not saying this approach can’t work though. I’m just saying that the way they designed it, it doesn’t feel right.In terms of the look and feel, it feels less stylish to me and more cheap. Like it feels like I’m using the Amazon Alexa app (which I hate). The album covers are smaller and not as pronounced, compared to the previous apps recents area.And the Now Playing screen on the iPad?! Like WTF? Why is there a gap around it showing the interface area behind it (ie Home area)? Why isn’t it full screen (and without rounded corners)? Makes zero design sense, as it’s super distracting, only adding to the busy feeling of the screen. Also see no option to make the app dark instead of light.All said and done, this just makes me want to not use the app at all, unless there are substantia

First let me say I’m enjoying my Ace headsets. Yes, headsets...I have two as I have Arc’s upstairs and downstairs and I’m lazy 😂To the purpose of my post. I wear eyeglasses with arms of varying widths. You may find that eyeglasses with arms as shown in Pic I provide a better seal for noise cancellation than those eyeglasses with arms of a wider width as shown in Pic II. Before the naysayers chime in to add “there’s another reason not to buy the Sonos Ace” know that the Apple Pro Max’s (of which I have a set) share the same sealing details in regards to this post.FYI, the Ace received another update within the last week or so. I have no idea what the update was for. However, Sonos is moving forward to continually improve its products in spite of dealing with App issues (which incidentally may be part of the planned improvements/fixes).That said...Enjoy your Ace!Pic I Pic II 

Hi, I’ve installed iPadOS 18 public beta and have tried to play atmos music via airplay2 to my Era 300 but it’s only playing stereo. Does Sonos need to perform an update to enable Airplay Atmos, or is this an Apple restriction?Thanks,Richard

I have made a significant investment in my Sonos system and it has become unusable. I want my money back.What makes this even worse is customer support. You have an 800 number that you can dial with wait times between 45 and 55 minutes, pretty much no matter when you call.I can begin to tell you how much I now hate SONOS.

Has anyone heard anything at all one way or another from Sonos about the new app: defending it, giving updates on return of missing features to new app, possibility of rolling back to old app, full apology, etc.?  I have not seen or heard anything myself other than their own backslapping on social media sites and on the top of their own website.  I kind of feel like they just don't care about us existing customers and hope that this whole new app total failure "expletive"-storm blows over.  I, for one, feel so let down by their "just don't care” attitude toward their customers that it would be hard for them to recover my loyalty and trust.  Some of the missing features, like playlist and queue management and the playing of my local NAS-stored music, are absolute show stoppers for me and will drive me to quickly find an alternative to Sonos for my hard-earned sound system buying dollars.

I’ve just switched providers today, with new equipment etc and the Sonos app is supposed to still see my system and ask about the network, but it continues to say No products found

I bought a beam in 2020 and have just bought the sub gen3 and 2 x One SL speakers to get sound surround. I can’t connect the sun or speakers to the beam? Can anyone help please? 

Since the last major update I have had trouble changing stations. (Among other things) The last time I was listening to Kiss FM. I opened the app and selected Riviera radio. It is playing Kiss FM yet it says it’s playing Riviera Radio! See screenshot below.  This is getting very frustrating. I am using an iPad with iOS 17.5.1 with a Sonos Arc, sub woofer and 2 Play 1 speakers.  Regards. 

I have the latest version of the app, the new version. Now, when I play music, it cuts out, primarily with Amazon HD music. It’s frustrating because one of the benefits of having Sonos is being able to play music throughout the house, but speakers are not responding when I try to play Amazon HD music, which I subscribe to. Help!

Update available today. Installed on first pass for the first time in a long time. Forced to re-do Trueplay and EQ related settings for main room surround setup, the only speakers that regularly use Trueplay.Was hoping for an accompanying Ace firmware but no luck.

Since my system keeps freezing (The new app) All 3 rooms although sometimes it doesn’t even find any speakers. What I suggest is whoever sanctioned this god awful app needs sacking and that goes for some members of the board as well but judging by the current state of SONOS and us having ZERO TRUST in the app there is probably one app designer who doubles as the CEO. When will we get the REAL VERSION BECAUSE THIS IS A JOKE AND YOU AND YOUR DELUDED MATES NOT WILL BE FAR AWAY FROM RE-MORTGAGING YOUR HOMES AND JOINING THE WELFARE STATE -WE THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN -SORT IT OR LEAVE—WE WANT ANSWERS OR START RETURNING OUR MONEY

I have changed my Messh routers and changed the WiFi network. All Sonos speakers have been readded to new network and are working fine. However I cannot add my Boost to the new setup however many times I try . The latest Sonos app sees the Boost but will not add it. The Boost is hardwired to a Mesh router.im exactly the same way as it was before - everything is the same as before except. I have rest the Boost twice and tried again and this has made no difference What am I doing wrong?
