Does the Sonos sub 4 have the same power cable as the Sonos gen 3 ?

My system is so old that it was created in the time where it wasn’t mandatory to create a system owner “admin”. When I try to update, the system ask for verification from the system owner.  I can’t create a new user because the username is already in the system. The speakers is attached to the system… so I’m kind of stuck.  It is old speakers so I use the S1 app. I would like to reset it all to fabric settings  Is there any solution I can try in order to get the system to play again? best regards Torben

Sonos said they finished repairing the problems caused in the spring app update. If so, why are the speakers at my house continue to experience the same problems of unable to connect as it has been for months now. I've updated, Sonos has updated. Nothing here has changed.  Why?

Hi, thinking of upgrading from SL one to era 300. Considering buying two Era 300 and doing stereo pair. Challenge is that I want to put them on the window sill, and the diameter there is about 5 inches, which work well for the SL one but may be too small for the Era 300. See pictures attached. Do you think I can still place the 300s there? Green circles are where I’d be locating the speakers (and where I currently have the Ones now). I don’t feel like putting them on stands as I don’t think the area would look good. Alternatively, considering the Five, which would fit well.Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

I cannot believe you guys removed the optical input on the Arc Ultra. I had a playbar (which function just dandy by the way) with optical input and bought your hype about how much better the arc Ultra is and I’d get a discount to upgrade. You neglected to mention that the optical input from my system would no longer function and I basically bricked my entire freaking system because I have a Samsung Frame that connects to its controller 25 ft away and brings in optical back to the speaker. You EVEN CHANGED THE FREAKING POWER PLUG and I had to tear my whole TV off the wall just to change out the damn power cord. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!?!?!? Guys I can’t begin to tell you how pissed I am right now. I’m going to have to call the sound people who set this up and pay HUNDREDS of dollars just to straighten this crap out. I swear I would love to get my hands on the genius who did this. Especially without putting it ANYWHERE to warn people. 

The power amplifier has stopped outputting sound. all other aspects (front end; WiFi, etc. are still working.  Inside on the main card I found the main amp power supply is supposed to be 36v. In my case it is only 17v. All low volt supplies are present and correct. Has anyone else experienced low supply volts and what did they do to fix it. Can’t find any broken diodes on the board. Does anyone have a circuit diagram?? BR Pete D.

Just installed a sub mini to my system (sounds amazing). I’ve noticed the sub audio level keeps resetting to 0 (zero) and I have to reset it to it’s onrigial level (8). Any solution for this?

Hello,I have a pair of Era 300 connected in a stereo pair and a Sub Gen 3 added to that.The problem I’m experiencing is when connecting to LG OLED C2 via Bluetooth the sound drops from the left Era speaker for a couple of seconds every minute or so.I tried resetting the speaker (unplugging for a while and reconnect) and applied all the available software updates, but no luck yet.How can I fix it?Cheers

My fiancee had to change Sonos account email and now we can't control the system at all - it keeps telling us to log in as system owner. On website it also does not show any systems registered to her account. Any solutions besides factory resetting some 10+ speakers?

We have recently bought a new Samsung tv. It does not have digital optical so we purchased an hdmi to optical converter from sonos. However after plugging this into hdmi arc slot on tv and connecting to optical port on playbar, it still does not recognise the playbar. Any ideas on what we can do?

I'm trying to set up a new sonos system and adding a ray to it. It finds the ray just fin and connects to it. But when I need it to connect to my wifi it fails. Have two wifi networks non of them working. And the same when trying to connect it via the Ethernet cable after the 3 failed attempt. Even more strange if I connect it via Ethernet before powering it on then when getting to the wifi setup it can't find any networks. If I enter the network name my self it still fails amd doesn't even give me the chance to use the Ethernet 

Hello, I’m not sure if this bug has been reported here or not so I’m just doing my due diligence so this can get fixed (soon hopefully). Something like this happens: Select Move Gen 1Set up Stereo PairBoth speakers connectListen for chime coming from Left or Right SpeakerSelect Left or Right SpeakerSetting up Stereo pair loading bar appearsThen once it’s connected the speaker with the chime coming from it dosnt play music the other one does. They are both connected and seen as a stereo pair on the app.I don’t have a video of this happening but I can get a video next time I try to configure the stereo pair of Sonos Move Gen 1. Hopefully this can get resolved soon as the Move are great speakers and would love to experience them as a pair! They’ve been functional in the past but now seem to have this issue when pairing. Thank you have a nice weekend.  Zach

Beyond frustrated with the new app. My Apple service needs to be reauthorized. Sonos doesn’t let me do this from my PC, which actually functions. It makes me do it from the app, which doesn’t function (and is beyond slow once the new app was introduced). In particular, the app makes me sign in on an endless do loop even though my profile shows up on the app. HELP!!!!

Hi, I have a single story double-fronted weatherboard in Melbourne, Australia that is being extended, restored and built next year and currently planning placement of in-ceiling sonos speakers by sonance and would love guidance and advice on optimal size (6” or 8”) and placement for both 2 x bathroom areas (Bath 1/W.I.R and Bath 2/Laundry) and then open plan living (TV), dining and kitchen area.For the living (TV) area I plan to have Sonos Arc Ultra, Sub 4, and currently 2 x 8” in-ceiling as rears, but thinking it would make sense to have a 2nd pair of 8” in-ceiling more for the dining/kitchen area and for music. The bench that goes from the kitchen through to the dining will have a turntable and was thinking an Era 300… is this too much? or?In the bathrooms, I thought 6” but maybe 8” would be better and in non stereo? unsure on exact placement or how close could have to shower…Bath 1 is 2.9m - could have speaker in/near showerBath 2/Laundry is 2

I’ve had the Sonos Playbase since it came out in 2017 and the sound is amazing; the best soundbar I’ve ever heard. The sound was even better after I paired it with two Play 1s. However, as many have noted, an issue with choppy playback started happening about a year ago when playing music through AirPlay. Sonos hasn't come up with a solution to this (I really wish they would) and I haven't had this issue with any other Sonos product, so I assume it's a chip issue and not something that can be solved with a software update. As a result, I decided to test an upgrade:I bought two Era 100s to replace my two Play 1s, and I got a Beam Gen 2 + Sub Mini to replace my my Playbase. Then I compared. First with music. The Playbase sounded significantly better than the Beam Gen 2 (with and without surrounds). Not a big surprise as the Beam really isn't meant to be match something as powerful as the Playbase, but I thought maybe the Era 100s would outperform the Play 1s. What was s

Hello I have Sound bar thats connected to a sub, I then have an amp in my kitchen thats connected to wall speakers. For some reason the Tv sound will start randomly playing on the Kitchen Amp speakers for no reason. I will shut it off and uncheck those speakers then randomly again it will start playing at some point. Anyone else have this issue?
