Sonos Build 80.14.06-release-20241206.affe3de

Steps to replicate:

  1. Create new alarm. (Alarms → Add alarm)
  2. Click “Music”.
  3. Search for album (why isn’t this a list?).
  4. Select album.
  5. Save alarm.

The save does not error, however the alarm will default back to Sonos Chime. The failure seems intermittent, which makes it worse. I am selecting albums hosted on SMB. The album remains playable even when the alarm loses it.

Terrible experience when I use this alarm to play white noise at night.

Hi @halcyon626,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue with Alarms. I tried those steps a few times but never had the Alarm default back to Sonos Chime, I’m also on the same app build.

I’m using an Android (Samsung S22), what are you using to set up the alarm on your system, and are you able to try set up an alarm using a different device? Also, does this error only occur when selecting an Album?

There is a way to see inside diagnostics what is happening with the alarm so, while intermittent, I would recommend submitting a diagnostics after this issue occurs and reaching out to our support team so they can look into this with you.

If you reply back with the above information, I can reach out to our engineers to see if they can replicate the issue.

I hope this helps!
