Many thanks for any help.

Era 100 which has been functioning well has suddenly started with an error which I can’t find described in the help pages.

The speaker actually still works, but whenever it is plugged in has random runs of rapid chimes/noises associated with rapid flashing green and orange (and sometimes red) lights.

There is no pattern to when the runs happen but it is every couple of minutes at most. There is no pattern to the length of the runs of chimes/lights and this varies quite wildly.

The flashes and sounds are rapid, several per second.

Have had to unplug the speaker rather than listen to it 24/7!

It has not responded to resetting the router, several power cycles including one lasting a couple of days, a full factory reset and update of the speaker, and the advice on how to bring a device out of diagnostic mode.

Has anyone had a similar error or come across this error described anywhere?

If not, I suggest you speak to Sonos support. They’ll have investigative powers and tools to which we have no access.

Is anyone aware of an email option to contact tech support?

The live chat agents are only (apparently) able to refer to the phone support and I just spent over 2.5 hours on hold to them unsuccessfully this evening…

Surely a company the size of Sonos has better customer service than this?

I know exactly what you mean! Since the recent firmware update two of my era 100s are making the same sort of noises on a regular basis!  I’ve already had to send an additional one back from before the update to them as faulty and have just received a replacement. What on earth is all this about? Please let me know if you have any luck getting to the bottom of this.
thank you.
