Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi,I have two ERA 300 speakers running as a group in my living room.When I try to play via Airplay sound only comes from one speaker.If I manually power on the second speaker in the group I get a message that my Apple Music subscription is only for one device.Airplay is seeing the two grouped speakers as two devices.If the speakers are then connected as a stereo pair both speakers work fine.Is there any way around this issue? Dan

I got a new iPhone, same iPhone 14 and cannot get my Sonos components back on line. Deleted Sonos app, reset Sonos app, reset my amps to factory settings and still cannot connect. Any help is appreciated. 

Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and Era 300’sJust set up my system. When I run a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound test “YouTube “( Sonos app says I’m getting Dolby Digital Plus 5.1) the left, center and right are all separate. When it gets to the right rear and left rear I get sound from the Arc Ultra also. Is this normal? I would think all the channels would separate.Am I missing something? 

I have an Apple TV 4K connected to a Samsung TV using an HDMI cable and then another HDMI cable using the Samsung’s HDMI Arc to connect to the Sonos Amp. My Sonos Amp has a KEF left and right channel as well as a subwoofer. I believe my Samsung TV audio settings are correct however I am not sure about the Apple TV 4K… Under Settings > Video and Audio > Audio Format, it defaults to LPCM. However, you have an option to change the format to either Dolby Digital 5.1 or Stereo. Seeing that the Apple TV 4K inputs to the Samsung TV and then uses an HDMI Arc cable to connect to the Sonos Amp, should I leave this setting to the default value of LPCM or should I set it to Dolby Digital or Stereo?  Part of me thinks that this setting is irrelevant because whatever audio format is selected, it passes that value to the TV and in turn the TV passes the selected PCM audio format to the Sonos Amp but clearly not 100% sure. Good morning,     Hi everyone, I have a pair of Era 100s set up under my TV that I'm using as a stereo pair. Neither speaker has any issues on their own, or as a stereo pair through the app. It is only when they are connected through Bluetooth to my computer, one speaker randomly cuts in and out, completely ruining the stereo experience. I've already disconnected, factory reset, and reconnected them. They work great through the Sonos system, but over Bluetooth one always seems to cut out. I can't watch movies through my computer via Bluetooth without being completely pulled out of the experience as my right ear gets 0 of the audio. Any advice?

In my case, this error was when trying to connect to new WiFi (new router) was incorrect.Uninstall the Sonos app, reinstall and factory reset your Sonos and it will then connect - there is a bug in the Sonos app. The uninstall and reinstall will also trigger an update to the Sonos One SL and the device will then connect. 

I recently purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 with Sub Mini & Era 100 to use as a cinema system.Installation went fine and I am able get a 5.1 feed via the HDMI ARC connection for the DVB broadcasts, when available, and the installed apps (Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc).However, I am unable to get a multi channel sound feed from either my Virgin media stream box or my Blu-ray, both will only provide PCM stereo.Sonos helpline were not particularly helpful once they knew the TV feed was working and despite multiple diagnostic submissions decided it was my settings and offered no potential solution.Despite resetting all my equipment, checking for updates, etc I'm still unable to resolve the issue.Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated as the situation is so frustrating.For reference my TV is a Panasonic TX-50AS600B AND Blu-ray a Panasonic DMP-BD60

I use my Sonos speakers 100% for listening to music, primarily through my music library on a stored NAS.  My experience has more or less come back to baseline from the new app rollout.  One thing that’s still missing that I found to be quite a helpful feature was the vertical side alphabet of the music library so I could quickly tap on a letter and immediately jump to that part of my library.  I know you can search specifically within the music library now but am still longing for the side scroll.  Any idea when (or if) that might be coming back?

I just have 2 Era 100s - I plan on buying an Arc Ultra in a few weeks.When installing do I need to remove Era from app and reinstall them? I know some people have been having issues and it is making me concerned if Era/Sub 3 will work with Ultra.

This is a weird one. I have had an ARC for 2 years and it has been brilliant.Following a recent software update I noticed the sound on Netflix had changed. I checked the  Sonos App and it says movies like 6 Underground are now playing with “Dolby PCM Multichannel 2.0”.Nothing else has changed. The Netflix App is on my Samsung TV and it recognizes Dolby Atmos is available for 6 Underground. Disney+ and Apple TV are both outputting Dolby Atmos, it is only Netflix that is having the issue. I have restarted everything and checked all the settings. When I play the Dolby Atmos title in Netflix, the Sonos App displays “Dolby PCM Multichannel 5.1” for a fraction of a second and then falls back to “Dolby PCM Multichannel 2.0”.Has anybody else noticed this problem?

As many of you may be aware following the launch of the new Sonos app some radio stations from outside the UK on the MyTuner radio platform won’t play using the app although it is possible to play these stations using Amazon Alexa, however when using this method the artist & track info is not displayed which is annoying.I have been trying to get some clarity on this issue from Sonos for several months and have sent Sonos support numerous emails to that end. Today after many failed and fruitless emails a support agent finally telephoned me and clarified the issue. Most of the radio stations that interest me are from the USA, in particular a station named Smooth Jazz Florida, according to to the support agent since the Brexit agreement was implemented the licensing arrangements do not allow access to these stations, the actual effect of this did not manifest itself until the new app was launched.Like many Sonos users I’m sure I expressed my annoyance and frustration at this situation

I can see most of my (assorted) Sonos speakers in the Sound control panel of my Mac, which is running the latest OS (Sonoma 14.6.1). But when I try to select one of the Sonos speakers as the default sound output device, it flashes for a second and then reverts back to the previous default (either the Mac internal speakers or the desktop wired speakers (connected via mic port). Any suggestions?

Suddenly the sonos app on my iPhone says “Not Connected, No products found” But I can still find all the sonos speakers on the Spotify app and play music. So the speakers are connected to the network and they are working. The problem therefore is with the app. Is there a bugfix on the way?  

I have an Arc and want to add two Era 300s as surrounds for a home theater set up; however, my couch is up against the wall of our living room. I can move the couch up maybe 6 or so inches. I can use stands or wall mounts for the 300s but I’m not sure if it makes sense. Can I position the 300s in a way that works or will they be too close to the listening area no matter what I do?

I am looking to go back to Sonos with the new Arc Ultra immersive set. I currently have a Samsung q99-B soundbar with rears on stands facing inwards to my sofa. I enclose a photo to show my rear wall and where my existing ones are. The main problem I see is the rear left, right hand side. As the Eras have drivers left and right side, would the doorway]become a problem, as in, would sound just go through the doorway? Or do I mount them flush? Is the Era too close to the corner? Hi there!Just set up my gen2 Beam and a pair of Threes as rear speakers.Then tried a youtube speaker test for 5.1.When testing, the rear speakers BOTH have equal volume levels.How can I fix this?I also have a pair of Ones that I could exchange if this is a software issue, but I don’t think that’s the problem.

Just upgraded to the new App and it seems they have not allowed the Sonos Boost to connect to it.  Spoken to Support and after an hour it seems that the developers have yet to allow the Boost to connect so they will need to update it.  I can connect via WiFi but if you have a Boost in your system it does not recognise.  Unless anyone knows a work round or support tells you they have fixed it.

My sub will not add to arc room

HiCan anyone advise on audio settings on my ps5 pro with a Sonos arc ultra?Currently have ps5 set to av amplifier and 7.1 channels, as well as linear pcm.According to Sonos app that gives me multichannel 7.1.Anything I should change?Thanks

Hi all, I have recently upgraded my home Wi-Fi setup to a Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro mesh setup.  I had some issues with my Sonos speakers being recognised in the iPhone app but that seems to have been resolved by setting static IPs for the speakers.However I have gone to check the Windows app running on my music server and it now cannot see the Sonos products (‘Your Sonos product was not found’ message when selecting ‘Connect to existing system’ on setup).  I have reinstalled the latest version of the Windows app, and have checked that the relevant firewall exceptions have been made as per the instructions on the Sonos website (they had already been made - as the windows app did used to work).I don’t know if this is as a result of the recent Wi-Fi changes as I had not used local media service or checked the window app in some time, but it definitely doesn’t work now.  I have rebooted the network etc. multiple times and no changes.Does anyone know what else I can do to resolve this?

Hello - I have been replacing a few of my old worn out vinyl albums with digital copies from YouTube.  Track numbers are added to individual tracks but when I add them to the queue they appear in alphabetical order.  Any ideas what's going on please?  Ian.

Having bought our first Sonos products in 2006 I am truly disappointed in how the products and customer service of this company has declined. I recently purchased 3 amps to configure 3 separate zones in our new home. The system worked fine until last month when music from our Music Library would randomly stop playing or skipping songs after 10 seconds. When I tap stop the music stops and then restarts on it own after a few seconds. I tried calling the help desk but hung up 20 minutes after what was described as a 10 minute line. The help BOT suggested moving the amps closer to the router. They could not be any closer. Any suggestions would be appreciated
