In the past you could operate Sonos with the volume buttons of an iPhone. That got lost in an update somewhere. The volume control in the Sonos app has also become completely uncontrollable and I don't even have fat fingers. I wonder if Sonos has ever tested adjusting the volume in steps of 1. A margin of error of 10 is common and extremely irritating.

Does anyone have a solution to still operate the Sonos app with the buttons? I now use the API in combination with my home automation for the volume.

An official Sonos iWatch app would also be a solution. I now use Lyd, but in combination with switching to TV there are some disadvantages because the system regularly loses its way during these changes.

Have you tried tapping the volume slider instead of dragging it? That works well for me.

Tapping the slider works when you want the volume uo, but below volume 10 (mostly play music in the 1-5 range) it won't react or goes even up. Small sliders just don't work.

Big buttons to the sides would prevent this. Being able tot control via the iphone volume buttons would work even better. Especially when they can be used without opening the app. But I understood Apple doesn't allow using the volume buttons anymore. (maybe some relation management helps)

On the other hand, Lyd is able to use the iwatch crown as a volume buttton, so I would think it's quit easy for Sonos to develop an iWatch app to control Sonos hardware. Even better than using the iPhone for daily use. Or they just buy Lyd, improve stability a little and it's a wrap 😉. Or maybe Lyd should also integrate some Sonos controls on there iPhone app that are user friendly if Sonos is not able to understand their users needs.
