Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Will Sonos be developing the ability to pair two subs other than a home theatre set-up? I have two subs in my lounge room and want them to pair with my tow 5’s for general music listening. 

Hi, I just got 80.11.32 on Android and found a weird / buggy behavior. I was particularly excited about this item in the release notes:Improved performance when browsing content in Home and in Browse on AndroidWhat I found is the opposite. When I change from another app to Sonos it now refreshes everything and takes some time to load back. When I am on Now Playing if I switch to another app and come back to Sonos, then the screen is refreshed with a black Playback Activity screen, then it changes to Your System, showing all my speakers, and then it updates with my system name. I doesn't come back to Now Playing and I need to click on the speaker I was listening to.Frustrating, specially after today's Nick Millington update posted by @Marco.B 

I’ve had Sonos devices for years now. Generally, they have been pretty good, but since the S2 app was launched, it has been a truly awful experience. I see lots of complaints about the app, so it isn’t just me.Are we going to see improvements or is it time to sell my kit and find something better?

So what brand of speakers are people moving to now that sonos have become completely useless crap? JBL seems like quality, the speakers atleast sound much much better than anything sonos has to offer, i am personally thinking of something along those lines. Looking for reccomendations, and who better to ask than former sonos gear owners and user 😊

Is the ability to edit the queue, adding or deleting tracks coming back?

Helping my parents at their new house. They have Sonos Arc Soundbar with Architectural Speakers. The system when playing music from the Sonos app or phone play on all speakers (soundbar and architectural speakers). However, when watching TV, only the soundbar plays the TV audio. Have tried a bunch of things recommended on the internet with no luck. 

I had heard that with iOS 18 there would be some changes in Airplay which allows you to stream Dolby Atmos (spatial audio) music directly from the Apple Music app to third party speakers like the Sonos Arc.  Doesn’t seem to be the case right now even with yesterday’s release of 18.1.  Anyone heard anything?  I’d like to use the Music app with my Sonos system but don’t want to lose the Dolby Atmos.

I will try to be as clear as possible.My current configuration is simple: I bought my first Sonos product this summer with the Ace headphones and I’m about to receive a sonos Arc ultra. So I get a bit more invested in my configuration today and I realize that in the app, nothing is basically working as expected. I was used just to connect my headphone in bluetooth and play spotify with it.Question 1) What is the value of playing music through Sonos App with content services rather than directly in the music app ? Does it change anything?Issue 2) I wanted to add my services but I realize that since Day 1, the content services is empty in my app. I read a lot of articles yesterday on resetting account, headphones, switching to PC/Mac app, changing my adress. I did try everything but still empty so far. I also created a new sonos account to have my headphone recognized in my devices list but it does not change anything either.Question 3) What is a

I can’t get sonos to recognize my music library on my MAC.  I don’t subscribe to Apple Music but my library is fully visible.  I am running all the latest software including OSx Sequoia 15.0.  Sonos keeps giving an error message that it could not access the library.  Is this still an ongoing Sonos issue or is it something on my end?

Hi,I have a Sonos amp connected to my TV via an Hdmi arc cable. When watching tv, the sonos amps always turn on and use the external speakers. Even if I change the audio output on my tv to tv speakers, it switch to external speakers after 2/3 seconds.It is due to the fact that Sonos amp cannot be turn off.  Is there a way to not use the external speakers when watching tv ?  

Hi,I need to install the S1 OS back on the connect:amp because it doesn't work on the S2. How do I get it done? I Couldn't find the functions were looking for in the S1 IOS app? Sonos instructions do not match in IOS S1 app.

I am no longer able to play multiple songs from Apple Music. It only plays one song at a time. I have thousands of songs in my Apple Music library and they used to play at a random setting. Now I can only hear 1 song and it ends and I have to manually go into my phone to choose another song 

One of my favorite live stations frequently develops an annoying echo sound effect. Restarting doesn't fix it.  When it happens it's on all my speakers throughout the house - singles and stereo pairs. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have been running Sonos from my Mac using the downloaded App. It’s no longer available in the App store which now states that “This app is available only on the App Store for iPhone and iPad” - anyone else experiencing this? Was this planned? Wondering if is coming back at any point :( 

Has anybody had their gen4 sub stop working one day, I have tried resetting it, removing it.  when I try to remove it, it’s says an update is available but comes up with error 30, error 1001 etc, tried connecting to Ethernet cable, nothing works?

I’m trying to update Controller on my Windows 11 machine, which normally is not an issue, but today I’m receiving the error "The Sonos controller installer failed to download".  I’ve tried rebooting but no difference. I have 90 GB free on the hard drive. Any suggestions? Thanks

I cannot connect my Sonos one to new Vodafone ultra hub.  I have compatibility mode enabled and have tried both networks and using a LAN cable.  Nothing works.  I have contacted Vodafone and they say they have set everything up correctly.  Can anyone help? 

I read about the Sonos Sub Gen 3 and now the Gen 4. But what I hear mainly is it’s performance with Home Theater Surround sound. What about music??  Does it sound good when listening to music? I’d like to know because I ordered a Gen 4.   

Prior to the May Sonos app update, in Sonos Radio podcasts had a forward and reverse option of  around 10-30 seconds to skip ahead or skip back.  This option was great if I wanted to re-listen to something in the podcast that I missed or wanted to hear again for clarification.  Now the only option is to skip to the beginning or end of the podcast or trying to go back 10 seconds by scrolling with the play bar which is difficult to be accurate by more than a few minutes.  Does anyone know if Sonos plans to bring back the 10 - 30 second skip forward and back in future updates or am I stuck with trying to scroll back with the the play bar?  Thanks all

Does anyone have the same problem when changing source inputs that the devices the system connects too seem to randomly change, along with the volumes. Any idea how to make some default settings to different sources? 

Is there anyway to get email notification from Sonos when they have availability of refurbished items, in my case in after 2 Era 300 white?

Hi,I recently upgraded my Internet to Starlink with a Gen 2 Router. As a result, I lost SONOS connectivity. To restore SONOS connectivity, I put the Gen 2 Router into Bypass mode and reinstalled my old Billion Router. Whilst SONOS connectivity was restored, I don’t have the WIFI Range or WIFI speed that the Gen 2 Router provided. So, I’m now looking to upgrade my Gen 2 Router to either a new Gen 3 Router or a 3rd Party Mesh Router. My question is:Does anyone have direct experience connecting SONOS devices using the new Starlink Gen 3 Router?If I can be assured of this then I’ll go SONOS Gen 3, if not then I’ll have to look for a 3rd solution. I just don’t want to spend the money on a solution that may not work.CheersDanny
