Sonos Beam Gen 2 with Symfonisk lamp gen 1 and 2?

Hi,

Currently I have a Symfonisk table lamp of Gen 1. I want to get the Beam Gen 2 and another Symfonisk lamp to create a stereo pair and to get surround. At the moment I will only be able to buy the Symfonisk lamp Gen 2.

So the question: will the Beam Gen 2 work with a Symfonisk lamp Gen 1 and a Gen 2 to create a stereo pair? Or will it only stereo pair with compatible Symfonisk Gen?

I don’t think so.

Also, usually you would have either a stereo pair or Surrounds. You can switch back and forth using the App but it isn’t a quick process.

I’d suggest two gen 2 lamps and put the other one in a different room for music there.

A used gen 1 is also a possibility.

Possibly a third party App could force the pairing problem but I haven’t looked into that.
