I’ve got Beam(gen1), Sub Mini, x2 Ones surround sound. I noticed the other day that the Sub Mini isn’t as noticeable as it once was - a real noticeable difference in the experience. It’s still working but it doesn’t have the impact it had - it’s gone flat. It’s subtle where it was once impactful and not noticeable where it was once subtle. (I don’t have night sounds enabled)

I noticed this morning that my surrounds (two Ones) are not playing music when I play music through the telly - they once played ambient music. I have it sent to ambient sounds and again usually there’s a noticeable ambient sound - now there is nothing. Switched the music playback to full and still nothing.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not sure what’s happened.

Assuming you haven’t rearranged the positions of your speakers which can upset TruePlay tuning (if used) try the steps below:

  1. Check for Sonos updates in the app. If that doesn't correct the issue continue to next steps
  2. Un-plug all Sonos
  3. Reboot your router
  4. Delete the Sonos app from your device
  5. Make sure your device is up-to-date
  6. Plug-in all Sonos and let them come back *
  7. Re-install the Sonos app and select “Join an existing system”
  8. Sign-in to Sonos with your credentials
  9. Test your Sonos

 * The LED on the speakers should show solid white assuming you have LED status turned on in the app. If not wait 15 minutes after plugging-in the last speaker.

Just tried those steps and it hasn’t worked. I then removed the surrounds and added them again. Still no different - although as I type I got the fright of my life as the surrounds came on for one song and nearly deafened me. They have since stopped again. It’s a really frustrating problem.

There appears to be a network issue.

Are you using any range extenders?

Is the Wireless turned on for all speakers?

Are any speakers connected to your router via Ethernet?

Are you using a Bridge or Boost?
