returning Move to wifi and failing to pair

Hey people,

I love the flexibility of taking the Move out and returning it to the system in the house for a bigger sound. I'd like to expand the collection but I'm put off by never ending connectivity issues.

I have high bandwidth fibre-optic broadband which exceeds our demands. I have a new WiFi router as I figured this was the issue but if I take the move out of the WiFi and use as intended. When I return it to the system in the house it often won't pair with the Sonos one. (Not stereo)

Honestly, I find this so frustrating or am I over reacting?

I'd go for the Arc and some era 100 but if every time I want to use it I have to spend 30mins trouble shooting I'd rather not waste my money.

I hope there's a simple answer? 😬

Perhaps it's me🤷

Any help much appreciated

When you bring the Move back home after using it in Bluetooth mode, are you switching it back to WiFi mode before you try to group it with the One?

In SONOS lingo “pair” means “stereo pair” and requires two identical speakers. Each single speaker, pair, or surround is known as a “Room”. Rooms can be “Grouped” to play the same content.

When the MOVE is outside are you using Bluetooth to play music?

Does the MOVE play inside (alone) while not using Bluetooth?
