Hi everyone…
I'm new & late to the party...I've already seen a few and helpful answers to the question I wanted to ask. That is, what sub should I get that's compatible with my GEN 2 BAR, recently acquired. 

Some helpful answers are about 1 year or so old now, so I thought I'll raise the question again, in case things have chenged since. Tech is restless & always on the go, however, if nothing much has changed, then I'll try and follow some of the advice already given by the community.

Nothing has changed. All Sonos Subwoofers are compatible with the Sonos Beam gen 2, as indicated on the main sales page at www.sonos.com.

You say, “...all Sonos Subwoofers are compatible...”! yet one/2 of the advices given said GEN 4 aren't compatible! Have I read that wrong or misunderstood it?

I’d suggest these devices (the Beam, or the Subs, or both) need to be updated. Since you’re unwilling to look it up yourself, here is the cut and paste from the sales page:

All generations of Sub will work with Beam (Gen 2).

If you’re continuing to have issues, i would suggest you call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.
