New Sonos app takes a long time to connect to system

Since the Spring 2024 update my system takes close to a minute to connect to my system. While listening to music and want to adjust the volume or skip a song, I open my phone where the app is open showing the first song I played and it takes a minute before the current song comes up and allows me to adjust any settings like volume pause or forward track. 
Additionally, when I am listing to a song and want to view the queue to see what’s next, when it opens it goes to the top of the queue list instead of the song currently playing. 
 

The UX on the new app is MUCH worse than the old one which was significantly more user intuitive.

If you update to the latest App and firmware most of the App related delay issues should be solved. Run a manual update then using the “About Your System” page verify all Sonos are on the same versions.

Power down all Sonos, reboot router and Controller and power the Sonos back up.

If you still have the delay after that post back and folks can give you other things to try.
