Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Is there anyway to get email notification from Sonos when they have availability of refurbished items, in my case in after 2 Era 300 white?

Hi,I recently upgraded my Internet to Starlink with a Gen 2 Router. As a result, I lost SONOS connectivity. To restore SONOS connectivity, I put the Gen 2 Router into Bypass mode and reinstalled my old Billion Router. Whilst SONOS connectivity was restored, I don’t have the WIFI Range or WIFI speed that the Gen 2 Router provided. So, I’m now looking to upgrade my Gen 2 Router to either a new Gen 3 Router or a 3rd Party Mesh Router. My question is:Does anyone have direct experience connecting SONOS devices using the new Starlink Gen 3 Router?If I can be assured of this then I’ll go SONOS Gen 3, if not then I’ll have to look for a 3rd solution. I just don’t want to spend the money on a solution that may not work.CheersDanny

Last night I tried for over 2 hours to connect my older play 5 and Play 1’s to my system. I tried the factory reset at least a half dozen times.  Plugged them into the Ethernet. Changed the network over a dozen times and absolutely will not connect to my app. I read the older models will not handle the recent updates. And I e read dozens of complaints about this is varios sites and blogs. So does that mean the older models are obsolete? I paid a lot of money for these speakers way back when and this is total nonsense if that’s true. Offering a 15-30% discount to trade them in is also ridiculous. These speakers should connect and last a life time. Sonos is FORCING us to by new speakers. I call this a scam and suggest it may be time to file a class action suit against the company. 

I have a Beam 1 and switched WiFi network name & password. So I factory reset the Beam and followed instructions in Sonos app to connect it to the new network. It said it might now show up in my system til I disconnect and reconnect the power, so I did but it still doesn’t show up in my system. I have done through this process twice.

How do I change the settings for my Beam sound bar via the App?  The Sonos App is requesting that I log out and login via Sonos.com as the owner.   This site currently does not have my Beam as a registered product.  How can I get my Beam registered on the Sonos.com account?

I try to connect Sonos Play:1 with my router FritzBox 7590. It doesn’t work, although I updated the OS as well as reset the settings of my Sonos. What else can I do?

Sonos has to be the most difficult system I have ever used to set up. I am trying to reset my system and it’s not finding anything. I have reset play 1 and Bar but not getting anywhere. I am very close to selling and buying Samsung. Customer services have kept me waiting 30 minutes so far. Charge a fortune and absolutely useless! Not a happy customer at all. 

Hi everyone Quick question. What happens with Sound Motion driver when Sub is added?I think im not wrong that when you add sub to any sonos component all low frequencies are repressed from sub. In the case of Arc Ultra the Sound Motion driver will be disabled. As the function of that driver is low frequency only. 

I have hr church bells that come on each hour and some rings are only 20 seconds. Etc and play for a whole minute since it only allows minutes. I it should be very easy to also add seconds. I know I must be the only one out of the 20 million users that ever have church bells that come in on the hour but it be very nice to be able to have it in seconds since all of my clocks alarm Bells come on for seconds not minutes 

Hi,One of the main things I use the app for is to manage the grouping of speakers after I start playing music from Spotify, Plex or another source.The original app always switched to the music currently being played, and I could just add any additional speakers I want to it.It seems the new app does not recognize that music already is being played, and instead shows some irrelevant title when started.When I click the icon in the bottom/middle in the new app,I see all speakers and the correct music playing per speaker, but when I click to add speakers, instead of adding them to the music being played, the app starts playing the irrelevant music displayed when it starts.This is highly annoying and breaks possibly the most useful usecase for the app. It is mostly useless without the ability to manage speakers.Any ideas how to achieve the original behavior in terms of being able to add speakers to already running music?

Hi i used trueplay. But the speaker has way too much treble. If i turn loudness off in the EQ settings the speakers sounds very flat. With loudness on the trebles so high that i get headaches. But i cant find a setting between to harsh and enjoyable. If i set treble to -10 it sounds as if the speaker is behind a cussion, but if i turn it up a bit its to harsh. If i turn loudness off its ok but then like i said the sound's very  flat.  I never expierienced this with my echo studio or echo show. The speaker seems also very loud even just on 20% volume.  Thanks for your help. 😄

I'm trying to play HD Audio from Amazon music to my play 5 (2nd gen) and Move 2. No matter what I try, I don't get the HD Audio icon which indicates I'm listening in HD. When I play the music through my phone or headphones, I get the icon.I've checked HD Audio settings in Amazon, removed, re-added account, tried playing to a single speaker (and grouped) and still nothing.Contacted support and they fobbed me off to call them. Tried that, but don't have 55 minutes to waste on hold.Hope someone here can help me Thanks 

The issue of disappearing IMPORTED PLAYLISTS is a 6 month old problem. I periodically return to the community forum to determine if this issue has been resolved but there is not a clear answer. I am an old guy who doesn’t want to learn coding or extensive system programming, just want to listen to music.Question to the Sonos mods:—what is the status of this item that is affecting so many users?—when will it be fixed?—If there is a current fix, where is it on the Sonos website?Thanks

I am not getting Dolby Atmos at home. My setup consists of a Sonos Arc, Sub, and 2 Era 300 surrounds. I have the highest subscription to Netflix and a Samsung 4K TV from 2017 (UN65MU6300). When using Netflix on my television most of the movie/series titles produce 5.1. When I select any of the content that is displayed in 5.1 and I go to my TV settings, the highest audio output that is produced is Dolby Digital+ which I imagine is not the same as Dolby Atmos. Am I not receiving Dolby Atmos because I have an older TV, or does this not play a factor? Do I need a TV that has can broadcast in Dolby Atmos? Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I followed the reset and set up steps but ended up with a Red and White flashing. I can identify the device on the Sonos App but I am unable to connect it the devices’s temporary network. I have 3 other Sonos Play 1, they work fine. I only have issues with this particular device. Not sure what’s wrong. 

Whenever I turn off my TV, my Sonos arc always resets itself back to zero on the volume scale.So I ways have to grab my remote and turn the volume back up to what I want it to be.How can I prevent us so it just keeps the same volume on when I turn the TV on? TV is: VIZIO 75-Inch P-Series 4K QLED HDR Smart TV w/Voice Remote, Dolby Vision, 4K 120Hz Gaming, Alexa Compatibility, P75Q9-J01, 2022 Model

So I'm looking to upgrade my SONOS ARC to the new ARC Ultra, Upon lookin on @Sonos website , they have a new mount for the Arc Ultra that's a tad different than the Arc Mount. The Arc Soundbar Specs under Mounting say"Threaded mount 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) / 10-32 threaded mounting socket" The Arc Ultra Soundbar Specs Under Mounting Say"M5 x 0.8mm thread pitch L6.5mm" I have the TV mount with the Arc Soundbar mount that Sonos sells on their websitethe "Sanus Extendable Soundbar TV Mount Designed for Sonos Arc"  Will this be compatible with the Arc Ultra? AlsoWhat is the difference between the "Threaded mount 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) / 10-32 threaded mounting socket" and the "M5 x 0.8mm thread pitch L6.5mm" ? If its compatible and will work, I notice that yes the Arc Ultra is a little lighter than the Orignial Arc, but with the extra width would it cause a problem?  

Hello,I just did a factory reset on my Beam, it has been working good for more than a year, but after the factory reset i suddenly have huge problems.Install via Wifi doesn’t work, it won’t accept my wifi password, and yes i use 2,4GHz, i always split my networks (2,4 and 5GHz separate). I also tried on another router now, my old one, and not accepting my password, but with exactly the same password i can connect with other devices, so it really is a SONOS ISSUE.Then i try with ethernet cable,it goes trough setup, but ends with “cant connect to WIFI with “” “  so an empty network.. but i tried everything for last 3 hours.. using other networks during setup, start over with cable and without, performed another factory reset.. seriously, i have installed many Sonos products in the past, i have had 2 beams (gen1 and gen2) i have had 4 sonos one a roam etc Something is going on with the setup, some bug in the mobile app? I use latest android app (it’s up to date). any help would be appreci

Hi,Until today I have been able to play different songs on different speakers from a single Spotify account.But when I do it today, every time a start a new room, the former room stop playing.I have tried to start it directly from the Sonos app and from the Spotify app with the same result.Any settings I might have missed? Or is there something changed in the Spotify/Sonos license?BR Torben

I have a Sonos Playbar which has dropped off my system i.e. in my Sonos App, on the “Systems Settings” page, there is a subsection entitled “Your Settings”, which for the Playbar in question, the App says it is “Not Connected”, whereas all the other Sonos devices are listed by what they are eg Playbar, Arc etc Firstly, I don’t understand why this Playbar has dropped off as I have 4 other Playbars, which are all still connected.Secondly, and most importantly, how do I go about reconnecting a Playbar which has dropped off my system/App?I’m asking for help as I had an AV Company install my entire AV system, which Sonos just forms one part of, and this is all out of my skill set.  Thanks in advance.

Hello. My Era 100’s sound terrible (quiet and very rough) when playing from TV (Laptop, SKY Stream), but nice when playing from the app. Any ideas?System:Beam Gen 2Sub miniEra 100 x2TV LG OLED48C14LBSKY StreamHDMI 2.1 cables The TV audio is set to eARC and Dolby Digitial plus.Any help would be appreciated.

When I set up my Playbar, ther is no selection for it on my LG 47GA. Is there an alternate selection that works? 

After 2 hrs on phone with cust serv, SONOS 5 was finally back to working, 4 mos after app update. Due to hurricanes, had some power outage and no time to listen to music. For reasons that don’t matter, I have 2 wifi connections, “A” and “B”. B is what everything is connected to but occasionally, devices will jump to A. Before trying to play SONOS today, I ensured phone app, laptop (music library) were both on B. But app couldn’t find my device. I tried unplugging and replugging as per directions. When I change phone app to wifi A, the device is discoverable but I can’t access laptop/music library. I also cannot force the app to point to WiFi B. There must be some way to do that but the only option it gives me is to delete WiFi B. Not what I want. How do I get the Sonos 5 to point at / prefer wifi B?

Why is Sonos the worst utility on my phone? It’s impossible to problem solve in the app. Nothing works.
