Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

After connecting my era 300 to my new Sonos arc ultra and updating firmware and app I have now noticed that surround formats aren’t being rendered properly through the era 300 speakers. During 5.1 content the surround effects are coming from the top speakers only and in 7.1 the surround rear effect speakers do not make sound only side surrounds and top make any sound. Is anyone else noticing this?

I am struggling with unreliable WiFi connectivity from my router to my Sonos app.  My WiFi router plays well with my phone, computer and TV but the Sonos app is a sometimes poor link to my Sonos 5 speakers.   Would a Sonos Hub improve my situation?  

Till yesterday I could choose different Spotify tracks for each Sonos Play:1 via Sonos App and play them at the same time.Now, every time I play a Spotify track all other devices stop playing and only one device can play Spotify. I also observed that I am no longer able to make own playlists in Sonos App with Spotify tracks.Anyone having the same problem and solved it? 

I reset Apple Music as I wanted to turn off the library setting of ‘Add Playlist Songs’ and ‘Add Favourite Songs’ because it was dumping partial albums in my library once I had added a single song to a playlist.So I deleted everything in Apple Music and recovered with a function on TuneMyMusic backup/restore.Anyway, what I have are items in my Apple Music Library in Sonos (Desktop and App) which do not exist in Apple Music. I have tried removing and adding the service from Sonos. I have reset the IOS App and reinstalled the desktop App. Nothing seems to update the Albums and the grey items still exist and won’t play. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Sonos App 

My ongoing disappointment with Sonos continues. The system is virtually unusable - literally every time I switch on my Playbar, Sub, Play:1 Surrounds, I have issues introduced since the previous use. Software ‘updates’ that do nothing but create issues. Not least of which that the Play:1 speakers need to be plugged in to the router to update, because while they work perfectly fine when up and running, software updates invariably fail to recognise them to connect and update wirelessly. Thousands of pounds worth of kit that I cannot be bothered to use any more, because of the hassles experienced at every turn. Such a shame, as the sound quality, when working, is now good.When are Sonos going to sort their software, so that the (fundamentally good) hardware, is not being constantly let-down?

I always use crossfade, but since updating my iOS-app to 80.14.09 yesterday the function seems to have been removed?  I am listening to music from Spotify. When I open the MacOS-app the icon is disabled when listening on a Spotify-playlist. When I switched to some Sonos Radio-playlist the icon looks enabled, but it doesn’t seem to work to toggle it. I could still not see the option on my iOS-app.

Any ideas why I cannnot operate sobos system on iphone 16 pro max with ios 18? The app does not find arc, era300, sub. After reinstalling the app and rebooting the sonos system to the default nothing changes. Creating new system helps nothing because the app does not see any the equipment even after unplugging (although in the app it is written it should). Any solution because now I cannot control any of the products ?

For at least the past two weeks, my playlists will no longer play normally.One playlist of 68 tracks sometimes plays a couple of songs and then stops suddenly and without cause. Other times, it doesn't play at all. This I noticed for the first time on Nov 30. I hadn't played that playlist for a long time (possibly before the disaster app release), but it did play normally before. Individual songs sometimes play, sometimes seem to start but fail after a second.Another playlist with a mere 6 songs shows the same behavior, and often refuses to play at all. I use it for alarm (it's called ‘Wake-up songs'), and the Sonos by my bed just sounds wake-up beeps at the appropriate time, doesn't play any of the songs. I've used that same playlist for my alarm for several years now, and up until yesterday, it worked perfectly.The first, longer playlist consists solely of songs in my local music library. As of December 12th, I have had issues playing two different tracks (from Spotify) on different groups of speakers.  As soon as I start the second stream, the first on will pause.I have noticed that I am also unable to to edit the playlist on these streams.  It says that the track was "started from Spotify" and won't allow me to edit.  I am solely using the Sonos app to control the music.

Hi Everyone.I have a question regarding apple Spatial music. I have recently changed my setup from Play:5 to Era 300 as surround speaker ( With Arc and Sub).Ive noticed that if I play Apple spatial music most of the sound comes from the arc. The sound from the era 300 is not full (The music playback for surround audio is set to full). This doesn’t happen to other music that is not spatial or other music app such as Spotify.  anybody experiencing the same issue? Is the Sonos Arc + Gen 3 Subwoofer + Amp & architectural series speakers all combined not a true Dolby Atmos experience?  The architectural series add on is not Atmos, yes/no? If not why?? It’s supposed to be the high end combo package

Unless I am missing something, the S2 app just fragged my old speakers  All speakers working on S1 app, we buy a new speaker “ only compatible with S2” download the app, sign in, poof, all old speakers don’t work. I try on my phone which has the S1 app, poof they are gone, I try to add devices says “ I only can add devices with S2 app”  I try to add old speakers with S2 app they are “ only compatible with S1”  tech merry go around. call customer service for over a hour get the run around  Am I missing something or did the S2 app just disable my old speakers ???  

I cannot get my system to work at all with the new app. I have several speakers in two homes and both systems are worthless. Is Sonos doing anything about this?

Suddenly problems with my Sonos speakers. App can’t connect to beam-sub mini- speakers Sonos one.tried all the things I know. Reset router, reset speakers, upgrade app, upgrade system. Put out power plug en restarted all whitout solution.at a moment the app made connection with my beam, and then it was possible to Connect the sub and rear speakers. Next day same again: no connection, can’t find system. what should i do? 

I have spent 8 months trying to get access to my iTunes library that I paid for and curated over decades. My speakers have not played music for 8 months and I am close to trashing the whole system. I have emailed and been on the phone to Sonos several times in this time and no one has helped me. No one has checked in to see if it is resolved with each update and I am absolutely distraught. I hate this system, I hate this company and I am totally now traumatised. 

Woke up this morning to find my 4 Sonos speakers not working and no content showing in the App. Have tried rebooting all the speakers and my broadband router multiple times, to no effect. Tried logging on and off the App and have deinstalled and reinstalled the App on my iPhone and iPad, all to no avail. Chatted with Sonos on the App and couldn’t send diagnostics to them. Have got to physically call them tomorrow. Any ideas anyone??

I have a Sonos Ray soundbar that I have recently purchased, and it is not connecting to my Xfinity cable box remote control. I have set up the speaker on the Sonos App. I could not connect the speaker to the remote control using App prompts. I called customer service, sent photos of remote control, supplied identification numbers from remote control battery compartment and the cable box console, and was told that Sonos is unable verify compatibility. The Xfinity remote operates the TV and cable box without line of sight, so I believe It works using radio frequency signals. A quick Google search shows that most Xfinity remotes operate using RF signaling. The Sonos Ray does not come with it’s own remote, and is apparently intended to operate through the customer’s remote or TV. Another quick Google search shows that Comcast Xfinity supplies more than 40% of the United States with broadband and cable, so I suspect that an extremely large population of the U.S. has the same remote contr

Just purchased an arc ultra when assigning my subs gen 3 and a gen 1 to my living room. The gen 3 has no problem assigning to the living room but the gen 1 won’t assign to the room.

Hi I have been having consistent issues with my Sonos and am getting very frustrated. My TV group (Playbase, Sub and 2 Play1’s) has periodic audio dropouts during streaming of audio when grouped with other speakers. It works fine when not in a group and when playing TV audio.  This is new with the latest update, but did occurred in very early updates.  The Playbase is wired to my router, but WIFi is turned on. 

HiI’ve read a few threads related to this topic and most of them are over a year ago. I wanted to ask this question again to see if anyone experienced this with the newer TVs using HDMI eARC on the Sonos and the Apple TV. Setup:LG OLED C4 + Sonos Arc + Apple TV 4K Apple TV 4K connected to HDMI 1 Sono Arc connected to the HDM2 eARCIssue:On the TV, when trying to switch the sound output to any other types other than HDMI eARC, within seconds, it automatically switches back to the HDMI eARC. I have a set up to use the digital audio PCM to connect to the mixer for at home entertainment karaoke. In my previous LG TV LED, I wasn’t using the Sono at the time and able to switch between the TV Speakers and Digital Audio without any issue while using the Apple TV 4K connecting to HDMI 1.  From what I’ve read, this is not specifically to LG, but it I more specifically to the HDMI eARC CEC Simplelink setup. 

After I updated the Windows desktop app on December 12 - when prompted - I stopped being able to play anything from Spotify on any of my Sonos speakers. I have some old Play 1, but also some ERA 100s as well. None can queue up any songs from Spotify. If I switch over to my YouTube Music service, it queues up songs without any issue. If I use my cell phone Sonos app, that will queue up songs from Spotify. They will play, but when I look at the queue, it does not display a list, but says “Queue: Started from Spotify”. This problems - at least for me - is only happening on the Windows app. I have uninstalled the Windows app, but it is the same thing. I have of course rebooted my machines. Since everything is working fine when I use the cell phone app, it cannot be a problem with my network.
