Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

HelloPreviously had a Panasonic TV + Beam (surrounds and sub) + Apple TV. Getting 5.1 no issues.New Samsung OLED and Apple TV will not output anything other than Stereo PCM.Firestick and Built in Apps showing 5.1 so it’s specific to Apple TV.Rebooted everything, reseated HDMI cable to everything. Done new TV setup on Sonos App.Not really sure where to go next?  Tried forcing 5.1 on Apple TV but I then get dialogue out of the surrounds!  

Hi all!ordered a new Arc Ultra 10 days ago from Sonos Europe. Even paid for faster shipping (2 working days). Still today I haven’t got it yet. Apparently, DHL service has some serious delays. I sold my Playbar and been stuck with my Tv’s speaker for too long :-(Also, will I be able to play atmos music on my Arc Ultra. It has nothing to do with the fact my TV is non eArc, right?One final thing. Many claim Playbar was/is better for stereo music than both of the Arcs. Your thoughts? Can’t wait for my new speaker.Neven

I was signed in as the system owner, why do I have to sign out and then in again as the system owner only to get a message of something went wrong try later. It has been months with this issue and there is no fix. Ready to throw the whole system out the window. 

Updated app yesterday and now nothing works - 2 hrs waiting and then dealing with helpdesk - router rebooted 4 times all 20 devices rebooted, controllers reloaded several times, moved to Sonos channel 1 and still not working. Approximately 5 hrs of wasted time, pls help. Helpdesk claim it is a known problem which isn’t particularly helpful - a known solution would be better and a timeframe for when it will get fixed - another massive Sonos own goal.

Hi, My Setup:TV: LG OLED C4 65 inchSoundbar: Sonos Beam Gen 2Rear speakers: Sonos One SL x 2 I have read all threads here in this forum related to the same problem but are unable to show Dolby Atmos in the Sonos App. I tried below that was suggested in another thread by GuitarSuperstar, but was unable to change everything but the first setting since that is greyed out.  HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream - this is greyed out on my TV and unable to changeDigital Sound Output: Pass ThrougheARC Support: OnThen play the film The Tomorrow War from the TV’s native Prime Video app and tell us what audio format is displayed on the Now Playing screen in the Sonos app. - I tried with the Lord of the rings series season one episode 1 (which says should be Dolby Atmos) Before changing the above the Sonos app said: Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1

I can't even play songs or control volume with it as well as any integration with Alexa or Google Assistant. The developers and especially the managers/c-suite execs should all be ashamed of themselves for rolling out this crap.

New ARC owner here. Installed today (by the retailers installation service). It’s connected to the TV and that seems to be working. I have the Sonos app on my iPhone13 and have run through the setup (many times) and it fails to register. The app recognises the ARC, is connected (in “About My System”) and it is added to my “Family Room” but shows as “Not Registered”. I’ve reset the router, have both the ARC and the iPhone on the 2.4GHz side of the wifi. The ARC shows up as a connected device in the router admin. I’ve tried it with an ethernet cable. I’ve reset the app several times, done the factory reset on the ARC several times. Nothing I do seems to be able to get me past the register stage. My account on the Sonos website shows no registered products in my System.  It feels like there’s nothing working at the other end for the app to communicate with.  Any ideas?  Thanks.    Roman 

Hi all!I must say the apple music on my Arc Ultra really blew me away. One thing is not clear to me.When listening to simple stereo music the rears mimic the arc i.e. i get stereo on front and stereo on back.if i move the surround music tab to plus or minus i shift the volume from front to back. If i move te surrounds music slider to plus or minus when listening to atmos mix, what difference will it make? Thank youNeven

I’m looking to get a set of Bluetooth headphones. I can’t justify buying the new Sonos ones so my question is are all Bluetooth’ phones compatible with my Sonos system which consists of , Beam,Port,Mini Woofer and two One SL surround speakers?Thanks in advance. 

Hi all, as the topic says, I’m considering purchasing a new soundbar. I have a current model fire TV, made by Toshiba, that does support E-arc. I also have a PC and a mac, that right now are connected to HDMI two and three, respectively, on the TV. I want to be able to use one or both devices, without turning on the TV, if I don’t need to. I am completely blind, so have no need to have a monitor on at all times. I am considering the Beam Gen 2. Will this device allow me to send audio to my PC or mac, without having to first turn on the TV? Should I consider an Arc for this? My main application for this bar is music playback, with some movies here and there. Thanks much for your help and advice. Guy 

Hello, I moved some furniture in my office and decided I wanted to use TruePlay again. I went in the app and when it went to confirm the speakers it came back as failed. I have 3 different amps with 3 different pairs of Sonos architectural speakers that aren’t working. I’ve had this setup for over 2 years and nothing has changed which leads me to believe it’s software based. Has anyone else noticed their amps not “seeing” the Sonos speakers?

Hi, I have the Beam gen 2 status light turned off in app.Over last week when I change volume with remote the light now flashes white.I’m sure I’d have noticed this before now.Does anyone else have same issue.

Wondering if I can change the volume of my wired speakers that are in a surround sound configuration with my Arc soundbar through the amp. I don’t see where I can independently change the volume of my rear wired speakers?

Burned component on Sonos Amp bottom PCBMy Sonos Amp just died. Its totally unresponsive, there is not even any light in the LED. Tried calling Sonos support and they basically just said “Sorry, its out of warrenty. It can’t be repaired. We can give you a discount on a new Amp”. Well, sorry - with that attitude I am not exaclty inclined to send any more of my money to Sonos.Given that the unit is a write-off I decided to take it apart. Looks like there is a burned resistor on the bottom PCB. However, this resistor have properly been killed off by some othet fauilty component.I seldom ply music on this Amp so it quite strange that it died.Anyone have any idea how to get it fixed? 

I use Sonos daily. Ever since they upgraded the app from Gould to Black, there are serious connectivity issues. I have powerful Internet throughout my entire place, which is not very large and ever since the upgrade, so many things have happened. 1. Sonos app doesn’t find my system, even though it finds my network. 2. I use an extra iOS device to be the remote control for Sonos as well as my phone. Sonos will no longer allow my extra iOS device to even populate the Sonos app even after I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it. It just shuts down every time I try to open it. 3 I purchased the Sonos Rome, it comes with simply a cable, no power adaptive plug that is USB-C to charge it. Guess what, they don’t even sell the USB-C power plug even though I received a message from Sonos asking me to purchase one. I received a message on my Sonos app advising me to use a power adapter so that I may efficiently charge my set of Sonos Roam speakers, it populated a photograph of the power plug showin

I have a simple Sonos system with 2 Play 1’s and a Boost. I recently had to set up the system again as my PC went away to be fixed. I was using the S1 app but have now been moved to the S2 app. Now I cannot set up the music library. I have tried to connect to the Sonos on my desktop computer and my laptop. Every time I get a message: “Reason: Unable to add the shared folder //Laptop … to your Music Library(1002)”I thought it might be a network issue, so tried to make a small library using a USB memory stick in the desktop or the laptop with a few music files on it. Still no joy, and the same message.Could it be a firewall issue (although as far as I can tell the firewall was configured correctly during the setup procedure)? I am using a mesh system and again all looks OK with all the nodes connected.I am running out of ideas - does anybody have any idea what the issue might be?

Since a few days I have a problem that I can’t use both Speakers (Move 1 / One SL) at the same time.I’ve reset both speakers and started the system from scratch, to no avail.I add the Move, then I add the One SL, as soon as the One SL is added, the Move disappears.It does not create 2 systems (Switch Systems only shows 1 System).As soon as I unplug the One SL, the Move is back in the App.Both speakers show as Online in the Sonos Account.I guess a recent update created this mess for me?What can I do?Thx

The Sonos Windows is taking 30 seconds to startup everytime I launch it. It goes through a few screens such as System not available and then finally completes successfully. Any sugestions for what is causing the issue? Sonos App 16.5, Windows 11 Pro 22H2

The problem is that sometimes when you put on a playlist, the songs play for a period of time,  30 seconds, other times 20 seconds and it jumps to the next song without finishing the onePlease help me for this problem.

 I would like to have surround sound for the sofa viewing position, and some kind of setup in the kitchen area so the TV can be heard. Any suggestions?

With Amazon Music, it seems I can’t search. Is that normal? That service is NOT helpful. I had YouTube Music--it was okay. I need something great--and, obviously, searchable. Whatcha all got?

We have 6 Sonos AMPs at our client. Three are connected from switch 1 and three are on switch 2.On switch 2, duplicate devices are displayed and disconnect these Sonos and Sonos'AMP switches to Wi-Fi Sonos. How can I prevent SONOS from turning on WI-Fi and how can I prevent Wi-Fi connectivity from turning on separately.Current SW, devices are about a month old.Thank you for your help.

My music library is stored on a NAS. The  Windows 10 version of  the app runs correctly and picks up the the Music Library successfully. However, I would like to be able to do the same with the SONOS app  running on Android but I am unable to achieve this outcome.I have tried several paths to no avail. Is it a question of waiting until another update is delivered.
