Mac firewall blocking music library

Sonos support helped me set up a music library on my desktop and it worked.  When I tried it the next day it didn’t work unless I turned the firewall off.  The settings allow incoming connections for Sonos and File Sharing (SMB).  Automatically allow built in software to receive is also on.  I obviously don’t want to leave the firewall off.  Any ideas please?

Try updating your Mac to Sequoia.

I’m not at home at the moment so I can’t check all appropriate settings in Mac Security/ Privacy. However, make sure there in no VPN running nor a 3rd party antivirus with Firewall. If there is a 3rd party antivirus make sure it sees Sonos as “friendly” regardless of whether or not a firewall is involved.

Thanks for your reply.  No VPN or 3rd party antivirus or firewall.  It is a nearly new Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1.

When this was first set up late last year it worked so something has changed since then.
