I replaced my Arc with an Arc Ultra. I moved my Arc to another room. I’ve noticed the audio decoding on Netflix does not work properly. 5.1 on several shows has decoding issues where the music on a show is very low or missing. For example, the music is Derry Girls in many scenes is missing or very low. I don’t get this issue on Arc. The only way to work around the problem on Netflix is change audio to stereo. All the other streaming services seem to work fine. Lord of the rings on Prime for example sounds amazing. Sonos support could not help, telling me to contact Netflix. Not great.  My setup is Arc Ultra, sub 4, sub 3, 2x Era300

What model TV do you have?

Do you also have an Apple TV or other streaming device?

I don’t think the Sonos can recognize what the audio is coming from, app wise, or show wise, only that there is a signal coming in from the TV. I’d tend to agree that it’s likely that the audio sent by wherever you’re getting that signal from is a compromised signal type being sent to the TV, which then sends it to the Sonos Arc Ultra.

But I’m curious…is the TV you’ve moved the Arc to the same as the one that the Arc Ultra is connected to? Is the Netflix source device the same, and have the same settings? Given that Sonos has no way of telling, that’s the only thing I can think of.

Having just installed a new tv (lg oled g477) with a brand new arc ultra + sub4 I was disappointed during mission impossible 1 when towards the end (the helicopter in the tunnel) it started sounding like crap / crackling and distorting.  Netflix was running in 5.1 apparently - anyone else got Netflix who can check this?   I read that cracking can happen and the TV should go into pass through audio mode.  I tried this but the problem remains.  Any ideas?  The system has had trueplay done (todays app - nov 15) and the sub is set to +3 but that’s it I think.
