So - With the new Sonos App Release in Spring 2024 there has been a number of challenges. The most recent one for those of us that have used Sonos as a source for a Crestron controlled Home automation.
Discontinuation Notice: Sonos App Support on Crestron Touch Panels- Update January 9th, 2025 - Crestron has discontinued the use of the Sono’s app in it’s panels - (This is due to the updated Sonos App and no warning to its partner Crestron that it would not work back in spring 2024) https://community.crestron.com/s/article/2986
So… having said that - Lots of expensive home systems (Thousands… 20K,30K+ systems) do not have a functional source solution - Thanks Sonos! My customers love me now!
Any installers or users that have found a work around or another solutions?
I will not be recommending Sonos to customers now - how they handled the release of the app and its partners.
