Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Dose it make sense to add a Mini sub to my Arc Ultra? Or do I just bite the bullet and get a Sub 3 or 4?Leaning towards the Mini,but will it work?

My Sonos Play 1 has done the same as many others before and blown part of it’s 240V step-down circuitry so when powered via the mains the unit no longer worksThe parts blown are the two 1 Ohm 1206 SMD resistors just up from the big brown capacitor on the power step-down part of the board as also happened to @Lazarov and @Helix66 in this threadBlown resistors R522, R523, R524 

As a Sonos customer, here’s my experience:Controlling music from my Apple desktop computer is incredibly frustrating. I can’t select or play music without encountering issues like a spinning wheel or app crashes. I’ve resorted to quitting the app on my desktop and using my iPhone instead, but even then, I often need to press the play button 3–4 times before it connects.I’ve stopped using my Sonos Connect Amp (2nd Gen) entirely because frequent music drops became unbearable. Now, I rely on my Sonos Playbar downstairs to listen to music upstairs.Sonos tech support suggested changing channels in the app or adjusting my Wi-Fi settings, toggling between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Is this really what’s expected of customers—diving into HTTP settings and manually assigning channels just to enjoy uninterrupted music?Didn’t Sonos start out as a software company?  Then later transitioned to streaming music services? As a loyal customer, I’m left extremely disappointed. Which Sonos app has the bass and treble and bass boost because the one I'm on right now doesn't have it 

I am trying to connect a Ray soundbar to a relatively old TV.The TV has an SPDIF Out. But it is not working at all. I have tried to use an optical cable which has a mini Toslink connector at one end.Do I need to buy a separate converter?

Himy beam gen 2 has decided to change the volume on its own if I turn it up it just goes down 

I get the message “Something went wrong.  Try again.”  for almost everything I do.  I mostly use “Favorites” and”Recently played” from the Sonos Home Screen but neither work at all since the uograde app.  Any time I try to play a selection in either of these sections I get the message “Something went wrong.  Try again.” Furthermore, Recently played previously listed the most recent Recently played selection but now presents in some other order so I have to look for the last Most recently played which, once I find it, does not play anyway and results in “Something went wrong.  Try again.”! My workaround is to go into music services and find what I want to play an play it from there.  Which defeats the purpose of having a Favorites and Recently played option!  It’s like having an old car stereo with buttons to save your station that only save the frequency but you must manually tune to that frequency each time.its bad enough to have all my Favorites a

Hi,Managed to block all updates back in May -24, and still running my 15 devices with the golden S2 16.1 app (Android) and system 16.1.1 on speakers, my Amp and Port.  Full wifi setup without Sonosnet, and as Asus routers have a bad rap with Sonos, my AX86U is set to Wifi 5 with QoS disabled, better play it safe. Everything works decently, including Alexa and Sonos Voice.  As long as I’m on Android staying with the old app is no problem, on a new phone I can just sideload it.With the frozen state of the system I haven’t been able to add any new devices, which given my hobbyist knack is getting frustrating.  Is the new app (and system) already good enough, so that nice new speakers outweigh the potential hassle with the new software?  Or should I just stay a holdout and start to view the Sonos more as an appliance, not touching it until I someday might move house?   Any thoughts?

Hi.I have a playbar that i  move to my cabin , i have uppgrade to arc ultra Home.I have problem with connecting the playbar , dont have sound out from my tv.And i have TRIED EVERYTHING , is there  some trick  some have ? i will be grateful.

Hi. Installing a new system. For some reason it has established 2 systems on the same router. This means I cannot connect my 100s to the Arc Ultra (system2) as surround sound because they are claimed by system1. Tried  ‘forget’ function multiple times. Doesn’t work. Cannot find help completely deleting a system anywhere. HELP!!

I am building an master bedroom suite with a small home theater area.  Ideally I would like to use 2 sets of in wall speakers with 2 Sonos Amps and an in wall sub with it’s own amp.  However there would not be any Sonos voice control or audio swapping to the Ace headphones with this setup.I talked to a Sonos salesperson and she was not overly helpful.  She suggested using an Arc Ultra in the front.  Obviously it won’t be as nice aesthetically, but I also don’t think the sound quality would be as good.  It just seems that having the front speakers further apart is going to give better surround sound than a soundbar.Any ideas or suggestions?

I have a pair of Play:1 speakers linked as a stereo pair. I generally use an Amazon echo dot in the same room to ask for music etc. In the last few months the previous behaviour where the volume of the sonos speakers would automatically reduce when communicating with alexa no longer happens. If I have the music on loud then I either have to reduce the volume or shout very loudly!Have tried all the usual uninstall/reinstall, repair, unlink/link the sonos skill in alexa etc but with no success. I should say that other speakers in my system DO reduce volume when communicating with alexa (including an aging connect!) but not the Play:1s. Since I still use the old connect I am still on an S1 system. Any suggestions?

I have 3 Sonos Ones installed upside down.  They are slightly above eye level and that orientation allows me to access the volume controls.  I’m old and my memory sucks, but I seem to remember there was a setting that allowed you to reverse the direction of the volume buttons for this installation.  I can’t find it anymore and the volume direction is backwards now.  Am I imagining things, or they have always been that way?

Does anyone else spend more time trying to get their Sonos (insert product name here) to work rather than actually being able to listen to it?  

the answer seems to be yes.if i want to stream its cool but what about all the music I have on my library. I have to play on desktop and hit airplay and then the app is only a volume control LOLive tried so many times and all the instruction online do not work for loading my library to sonos. question is why have an add library funtion on the app iof it doesnt work. beyond frustrated.

I’ve got an Rotel A12 integrated amp, with CD Player and Vintage TT attached. The amp drives a pair of Wharfedale speakers in living room. Only streaming I do is Apple Music via a dedicated iphone that I connect direct to the A12 via USB or Bluetooth.Looking to connect from my amp’s pre+out to the Port that would wirelessly drive an Era speaker in another room (or on my deck), however I’d only feed audio to ONE room at a time, ie, if feeding to the Era, I’d have my Wharfedale speakers off on my A12.This would work…right?  Also…. I’m thinking of setting up a 2nd router, disconnected from internet ISP, so a local, closed WiFi network to handle WiFi network to stream audio from Port to Era…. Is this doable?

Hello, I am new to the world of playing digital files on any device, not to mention Sonos. I am noticing quite a few new classical music releases are offered by lossless file rather than a compact disc. How do I play those files on my Sonos? Also, is it possible to hook a device to the Line-in to do that? If so, how do I do it?Thank you! 

I have bought the Latest Sonos Ultra Arc Soundbar and looking for any advise someone has bought for a Televisions, size and make that also is of the same high Spec and shows off the quality's of the sound Bar 

I e got a playbar and two s1 speakers about 10 years old. They work ok. I recently added an era 100 that drops out intermittently.  When it is working, The status on the app shows its wifi is not connected though. How can it be made to work full time? Nits on channel 44 the others are on channel 1.v annoying 

Even some very cheap headphones tell you in your native language or in English how much battery life is left. You would expect that from headphones that cost up to 20 times more. Having to open the Sonos app every time to find out is really annoying.

Just off the phone with Sonos Support.  My initial question, within the first 3 minutes, was “is there a known issue with the Sonos App on IOS?”.  The answer from L1 was “no”.  Many troubleshooting steps later (I have deep networking knowledge) in 1.5 hours,  L2 (through L1) came back with “there *is* a known issue with the Sonos App on IOS”.   I had no opportunity to talk with L2 directly.Tom Conrad, as a fellow *giant* fan of Sonos, I hope you understand that Sonos is on the brink of ruin.  I also hope that the tattoo on your left forearm doesn’t begin to look like a Blackberry. Avid fans like me can no longer in good conscience recommend any Sonos product. Fans, if you are having trouble with the Sonos App on IOS, starting make noise.  A lot of it. Light the forums up.  Light Redit up.  Facebook.  X.  Instragram.    I know I will. Sincerely, Disappointed  

Looking forward to lossless Apple Music playing on my Amp . Nope  . I can play an Apple track on my phone from the Apple Music app . Lossless badge clearly seen . Then play the same track through my Apple Music service but selected through the Sonos amp . No lossless badge . Track is Hozier , Take me to the Church .  So conclude no Apple Lossless music on Sonos , despite recent email . And yes have checked the Sonos amp software is up to date and the Sonos app and Apple Music app . Any idea what might be going on ?.
