New Pixel 8a replaced pixel 4a.  8a can't join system.

Odd. Please describe your network setup. And try wiring your Sonos One SL temporarily to your router with an Ethernet cable. 

Issue resolved itself after a while.  Don’t know how.  Perhaps the 4a was still in control of the Sonos.
