We purchased Sonos Five back in October 2023. We realized that it will not be compatible with our systems at home. So we started the return process end of Nov 2023. It took Sonos more than a month and several phone calls to customer service to send us the return label! Finally we received the return label in mid January 2024 and we shipped the unit back. Sonos received our package Jan 22nd. And since then we have been calling every few days to ask for our refund/credit. Its now February 13th - they keep promising refund credit will be sent by email soon. The delay is due to technical issues in their system since January!!! This is unbelievable behavior from a company like Sonos and so frustrating!!!I had requested a call back from their Supervisor - but still no response! Wish I had not made the purchase from Sonos! My question is when can I get my refund credit?!I had seen Cory (Sonos staff) trying to help/answer a similar question posted by another customer. Hoping he can
How do I get a return label after receiving the RO number two weeks ago indicating the label would arrive in a separate email. I have chatted, spoke with support on the phone several times. No one can tell me what the issue is and it is frustrating as I get told it will be taken care of but no one can say when. Last week I was told I would get it in maybe 2 hours. That did not happen. I have a case number if needed.
Woke up today, Sonos app completely reset, no favorites, no music subscriptions; will not let me add services to rebuild the account, error message: “Sorry this feature is unavailable at this time”. Signed out and signed back into the account, nothing worked. Anyone else experience this?
As you can see…true play option is greyed out because I don’t want to do these updates and happy with the sound as it is.…spend a fortune on these speakers and you’re at their beg and call to do these ridiculous generic non descriptive updates. If you don’t you get penalized ….i have to agree with others that Sonos is starting to suck….
Literally STILL annoyed that Sonos hasn’t found a way, nor given a valid explanation as to why they cannot remove products from our online account. Somehow, the old sonos are still logged into my spotify and because I use spotify with my new sonos products, other people are using my Spotify account through their speaker system. Spotify nor Sonos want to take responsibility and it’s been pissing me off FOR YEARS. (Yes, I’ve LOGGED OUT everywhere, yes, I’ve changed my password, etc.) It seems like Sonos is just being lazy about a functionality.
My sonos 1 suddenly stopped working & won't reconnect. Any ideas? I have gone through all steps on set up and nothing works
Trying to by a Ray with the black friday sale, based in Ireland (so EU) have some money on my paypal account i’d like to use but Paypal is not coming up as option, is it not accepted anymore?
I have recently made an incredible playlist for Valentine's Day, and I want to share it with my friends who also have the system in their homes. It would be fantastic if we could share and spread the love of music. I have playlists for every holiday. I love the option of making them. I want to share them with someone in the Sonos community. Why can't I?
Ok, so say you use an adblocker that happens to also block spotify ads. I’m wondering if, when playing sonos (roam) from your computer inwhich you have the adblocker installed, will it still have the error of randomly pausing when an ad is meant to play, or will the adblocker resolve this?ive noticed a lot of people having issues with spotify and i want to know if this will happen to me too.edit: for anyone else who mightve been wondering, i just tried it after finally getting my speaker set up and. well. yeah, the adblock doesnt work. it stops randomly and then plays the ad when you pause then unpause. honestly, thanking god i got this thing as a gift and didnt spend any money on it because the general consensus, which i am starting to lean toward, is that sonos products are garbage.
About 2 months ago one of my Sonos speakers started acting erratically, disconnecting frequently, stopping after one song, throwing error messages, etc. The usual solutions did not work, or worked only briefly. Finally, a call to Sonos revealed that the speaker was trying to connect to a wifi network from a previous address about 5 years ago. Why this didn't cause problems until recently, I have no idea, but deleting this network from the list solved the problem instantly.I'm posting this in the event it helps someone, as I've not seen it explicitly raised elsewhere.
Hello,I have a question about my current setup. Everything works smoothly, but I'm curious about its efficiency and best practices. My system includes an Amp, a Play:1, and a Play:3. For my wi-fi, I have two mesh nodes: a primary router and a satellite. The Amp is connected via ethernet to the router, while the Play:1 is wired to the satellite. The Play:3, however, isn't wired to any device. As of now the Sonos system uses SonosNet.Is this configuration optimal? Should I continue using SonosNet or configure the Sonos devices to connect through the standard network. Additionally, if keep using SonosNet, does it make a difference if the Play:1 is wired to the wi-fi mesh node or not?Thank you for your guidance.About My System:Play:1Sonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.20.1.6-2.1Series ID: A200IP Adress: 10.0.8.22WM: 0---------------------------------Play:3Sonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.8.1.3-2.1Series ID: A100IP Adress: 10.0.8.23WM:
Can I add a passcode to my system? Would like to stop people from gaining access to my system.
I am slowly adding Sonos speakers into my home eco system and I loving it. Recently I purchased a new Sonos Play 5 for my office and planning to setup using my Sonos App. Can I use the same Phone and Sonos App to configure 2 different Systems based on Home or Work wifi? What happens to my Spotify App on my Laptop will it automatically switch to network Sonos based on my home and work wifi May be its already answered before but I couldn't find the answer, so please help ML
I am thinking of upgrading my old S1 system components and have the following upgrade discounts registered:One (Gen 1) 15% discount registered Play:1 15% discount registered Play:5 (Gen 1) 30% discount registeredUpgrading the Play:5 to a Five would use my 30% discount, no problems. But last week I would have been able to use the 15% upgrades on, say Era 100s - this now seems to be unavailable. Consequently I can’t see any way to use my 15% upgrades.Anyone else having this issue?
Having asked a question a year ago about random drop-outs, failure to connect to my music library on a home server, of my Sonos Theatre set-up and not getting any further forward, whether it be by many miscelleneous adjustments or calls to Sonos support, my only conclusion is that I need to switch my Virgin Media Hub 4 into modem mode, and fit a a decent router. I would appreciate insights from others who have tried this solution to end drop-outs.
HiFirst of all let me preface this novella 🙂 by saying I do not consider myself an Audiophile; which by one definition are:“…an exceptional breed of people who are fascinated by pure audio, motivated by sound quality and addicted to audio gadgets. Audiophiles take their passion for music one step further. They're curious about how songs are recorded and the science behind how sounds are reproduced”.With that said let’s begin….Some of you may have read my posts wherein I talk about “stereo separation”. IMO 99% of what one hears musically is not “stereo separation” in its purist form. What one does hear is music and vocals emanating from two speakers spaced at least 6 feet apart where there is a “sweet spot” in the center. The listener has a sense that all instruments and vocals are “dead “center providing the optimum listening experience. The people to blame for this misconception of what is “stereo separation” IMO are the mixing engineers. They rationalize the mixing strategy by sayin
After having spent about 4 hrs in limbo on the phone with various Sonos customer service staff about why it is that my equipment cannot connect to my Wifi, the 4th agent had the audacity to tell me that L2 is suggesting that I hard wire my equipment because that is the only way it will work in this configuration, the configuration being a simple Wifi setup in my new home. The audacity… So I spent upwards of 2000+ dollars on a Premium set of media equipment for its Wireless capabilities just to be told that its rendered useless now ? It’s not even 5 yrs old. How can this be ? At this point, I think I deserve money back for this, cause this is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. God help you if you ask for an escalation, still on the call waiting for an email or ticket system or manager or something !!! It’s been 20 mins already… Jeez…. Like seriously ?
We have multiple Sonos components.Playbar w/ sub. Play5. 4 x Play3. 4x Play1. We use the Sonos 2 App. Our WiFi is strong throughout the house. the issues: Speakers get out of sync while playing the same song and when grouped. 2. Speakers will stop playing for no reason. 3. Speakers will not play. 4. speakers will play erratically. Music plays then stops then starts then stops. 5. Speakers will not be found. 6. Music services that previously worked stopped working. These problems are so severe the system is not usable. We will be trashing our entire Sonos system. No amount of troubleshooting has resolved the issues. No information from Sonos (the company) has helped resolve the issue. We have been longtime customers and we are very disappointed in the decline of the business playback quality. Adios Sonos!!!

Looking for a solution to Sonos cutting in and out. I’m an IT guy with multiple sonos connects hardwired to a solid enterprise grade home network. Tried starting over with factory reset for my Sonos Connects and Five. Worked for a while but much to my dismay, cutouts once again. Happens on XM and Spotify which are my main sources, both of which work perfectly well via desktop and phone apps. Sonos not so much. Very frustrating, especially since there is no diagnostic capability to help trouble shoot this mess. Have been a Sonos user for 5+ years with no issues. Lots of posts on this issue, any magical advise on this issue.
Hello Has anyone recently returned a product? If so can you please let me know how you did this and which method you used to contact Sonos? I’ve contacted the support number live chat, support@sonos.com and even ceo@sonos.com out of sheer desperation but can’t get anywhere! I purchased the product directly from Sonos so if this happened I could rely on their customer service but so far it’s the worst I’ve experienced. I have a faulty Arc and contacted customer support who offered to replace the product. They sent an email the following day which said I would receive a follow up email with options on how to return it. I didn’t receive the follow up email and despite following up that email 4 times and contacting their online chat a further 3 times I am yet to receive any instructions on how to return the faulty item. It’s now been almost month and each time I speak to customer support I get equally evasive replies that I’ll receive an email within 24-48 hours or the representative will
Such a major feature missing! Will be super helpful to add it. We'd love to listen to audiobooks on our Sonos system while doing house chores but the inability to play at our normal speed or 1.5x or 2x makes us not use it. Please add this functionality.
Hi,It would be nice to have a portal that would allow monitoring and management - such as performing updates, changing settings and checking on any issues for all client accounts. this is available with most AV & network brands used in integration and sonos already have all devices connected to the network (and internet), as a means to provide quick support and remote updates. In addition, it would be good to be able to provide usage rights to sonos devices in the same installation - i.e. being able to have separate user accounts within the same system and then determining which devices are available to the specific accounts within the same system. RegardsK.
For those of you in the warm US climates or anywhere in the world …count your blessings. Pics are in Kansas City area.
A very interesting article was posted today from Bloomberg about Sonos’ 2024 (and beyond) product releases. It includes headphones, a set-top box, a new Roam, a new sound bar, and more. Here is the summary by Engadget (because of the Bloomberg paywall):https://www.engadget.com/sonos-long-rumored-headphones-will-reportedly-arrive-by-april-2024-195833525.htmlIf this is accurate, 2024 will be an exciting year for Sonos.
