I’ve been a Sonos customer since 2009 so have been through many iterations of the platform and app.As a legacy customer, this also means I have the (unfortunate) situation of continuing to use both the S1 and S2 app - although this gives me an interesting view into the failings of the new app.Two very quick suggestions for today for the S2 app on iPhone, both related to volume:The old app and the S1 app allow you to nudge the volume up and down using the volume control of the iPhone. This functionality has been removed in the S2 app. Please bring it back. It allows for far more sensitivity versus trying to move a touchscreen slider Can the volume control be recalibrated so it is not linear? The reason I ask is I have an Era300 in my office. It has a great sound, but most of the time it is playing in the background so I can work. As a result the volume is around 10-15 - which is RIGHT at the bottom of the slider, making it difficult to control with minimal movement available. I very rar

I’ve been having trouble with some of my older Play 5 Gen 1 speakers and the Sonos S1 app. I suddenly lost the ability to create stereo pair or remove stereo pair among other things. I constantly get a notification to update but the update always fails with error code 1101. This happens on Sonos Android/Windows apps with the same error. It can never update. I’ve tried all the solutions in the FAQ that it points me to but nothing changes.App version 11.15.2Build 572261300Any ideas

When I search playlist in Sonos APP (macOS, iPados, IOS) the results are incomplete How can I obtain all resultsThanks  

Hello!I have a Macbook connected to my Fritzbox + Unifi Network via Ethernet. My Sonos Arc (with Sub Mini and Era 100) is connected to my Network over wifi through an AP 6 Pro; When connected like this, i am not able to stream music to my soundsystem. It shows the music i want to play in the Sonos app, but does not play any sound. When i am connected to wifi with my Macbook, the sound plays with no Problem. When playing Music from my phone, there is no problem playing music, so i assume it has to do something with the different connection methods...The AP is connected to the same switch, my macbook is connected to.I hope someone has an idea to solve this problem.

Good evening everyone,given that Symfonisk can use music library in a NAD, could it be possible that the system could detect cloud Services?I have all my library on Mega (it could be BOX, or DROPBOX of course) and I would love to Listen to it through my sonos speakers.Could this be possible?thank you very much

Just to reiterate that there is still an issue streaming SiriusXM without encountering drop outs. Some times it takes a few hours, sometimes it is less. The issue ONLY occurs with SiriusXM. The issue is not related to anything in our Sonos ecosystem or network. This has been confirmed. We have been in talks with Sonos dealer technical support (we are Sonos dealers and custom integrators) for almost a year, throughout which we have gone deep into diagnostics, made significant changes to our Sonos ecosystem and network, but the issue persists.The only solution is stopping the stream, waiting for ~ 30 seconds, then starting it back up. The issue is resolved temporarily than comes back.Sonos ultimately threw up their hands and deemed the issue on SiriusXM’s side stating that the encoding method of the SiriusXM stream is incompatible/too high of a bitrate for the Sonos ecosystem to be able to keep up with. Okay, so I bought an Arc and gen3 sub about 2 years ago, primarily as for movies tv etc. Always been happy with it until I recently switched to iPhone from Android.no matter what I try, my iPhone will not airplay to the arc directly from Apple Music or YouTube music. It shows the arc in the airplay list but attempting to connect gives a “cannot connect to arc” error.i can play audio from both apps when used within the Sonos app but let’s be honest, the UI blows so not ideal.i can also airplay to my tv and play through the arc since it’s my tvs primary audio setup.i have an old Sonos one in the office at work and that streams audio great via airplay, yet I spent a bomb on the arc and sub and can’t even get a connection on my iPhone. Tried resetting everything, even the router but no bueno.

I recently tried to use Apple Music with Sonos and learned SONOS won’t import any files that aer mp4 and those files can't be converted.  I have a lot of music I own and want to be able to use a streaming service to augment what I have.  (I want playlists that have both my own music as well as music from a streaming service).  So I googled Amazon Unlimited and it sounds like this might have fewer restrictions.  IIs it possible to download music via Amazon Unlimited, import everything to SONOS such that I can listen to both my music and downloaded music in playlists I’ve created?  I don’t want to go through Alexa and I DO want to mix and match what I’m listening to.  (My SONOS speakers are old and do not support streaming to them directly from for example iTunes).  If Amazon Music Unlimited has the same challenge that Apple Music has is there a streaming service that does work this way? 

I got a couple albums recorded in Atmos but no luck when trying them through app's music library nor  plugging to my projector's USB the hdd that holds this media. It always send it downgraded to my arc ultra and eras 300 in stereo pcm.Is there an Android media player or any other workaround that will let me enjoy this music at their full encoding with my sonos system?Thanks community.

My system (still S1) has been set up with some kind of workaround to receive Patreon-only content from a podcast in a direct stream, in addition to the podcast's public content. I let Patreon lapse for a month, and now the workaround isn't working and I can’t find the directions I used before. Does anyone recognize this process enough to help me get that member-only stream back into Sonos? TIA!I should add that I don’t subscribe to streaming services (Spotify, Amazon Music, etc) so that’s why I’m looking for the process to add a direct stream.p.s. I would like to see the lyrics while I’m playing a song in my Sonos app. Normally I use Spotify.  is it possible?

Hi, I have new Mac Book and trying to set up Sonos. Installed the app but there is no sign of “manage” to allow me to add music folders etc., I’m new to Mac and tried searching, googling etc., but am stuck. I have read other interesting articles about how to get my folders working once I can find “manage”, at least I think I have.

Sonos has marked this issue as “resolved” but it’s not. I stream radio with Apple music every day though my Sonos Beam and inevitably I start experiencing drops in the stream. Meanwhile on my portable sonos speaker I never experience this drop no matter where I put it in the house. Yet another unresolved glitch by Sonos that people are begging them to resolve.

I have multiple rooms ( & a hall ) each with 4 speakers ( & subs ), I have fully embraced Sonos throughout our home, yet I am constantly frustrated with having to group 2 stereo pairs so I can play in a room. It constantly fails, all I want is for them to remain fully paired and appear as one set, neither one volume so I don’t have to keep wondering why the sound isn’t right and then to findbrhat I’m only playing out of 2 of 4 speakers. I could have done this in my old none Sonos based house with no problems.inreally want Sonos to work and. This feels like a minor software issue, please make it possible or tell me how to if it’s already possible.

Hi.  I updated my Sonos desktop app from version 16.6 to 16.7 yesterday and then tried to update my local music library since I had added some new songs but now I get this error message:This message doesn’t make sense because my music files haven’t moved and I was able to index my library under version 16.6 a few days ago without any problems.  I tried updating my content on the mobile app too; I didn’t get an error message but the new songs were not added.Any ideas or do I just need to wait until the next update for this new bug to be fixed?  (Troubleshooting this app after each update is really getting tiresome.)Thanks.

Hi Sonos Community, I am trying to connect a USB hard drive to my router which I have loaded with songs from my computer and play through Sonos using the app. Some time ago this worked fine by the following: Manage - Music Library Settings, using a path as - //192.(IP Address...)/Name of Drive but this errors out when I progress further. It seems to be since upgrading to Windows 11 or possibly because the Sonos app has changed? I have also read that SMB security settings need to be set back to v1, which I believe I have done.Could anyone tell me if they have successfully enabled connecting a hard drive to their router on their Sonos set up and how they have achieved this, and if I need to correct the path or settings to make this work?

I'm running the latest SONOS app and have Amazon Music connected.  It will search and play music without issue, but it will not allow me to access any Podcasts.  Is there a fix or workaround?  I'm also a weirdo and not in the apple ecosystem, still rocking my andtoid based Samsung S21 Ultra.TIA,Brian

I just bought an Era 100 Sonos and I set it up and I am using Spotify on it but I really want to listen to Radio 4 and BBC Sounds. The instructions are to open the Sonos app - fine and go to Settings fine and then go to Services and Voice - not find because my app doesn’t have this. I searched through all the radio channels and searched for BBC Sounds and it says it has nothing. I just don’t know what I need to do. 

Realizing the inevitable (phasing out the desktop app and going to a web-based controller), I’m starting, grudgingly, to use my browser to connect with my systems.I’m not seeing any ability to adjust the EQ on my speakers through the web-based controller?  Am I wrong and, if so, where can I do that?   If I’m not wrong, I hope this feature is added asap.

I'm still experiencing the terrible lag on basic play controls, volume and mute which make the listening experience rather traumatic rather than pleasurable as it use to be - just wondering whether anyone, anywhere, any how had discovered a reliable fix/ solution??Note for Sonos - basic play functions like volume, track selection, skip forward, skip back have to work instantaneously it is a basic user experience expectation - if it is true from what I read that even basic control functions go to the cloud with the added latency and lag for using the system I paid you alot of money for to play music reliably in my own home then you really need to rethink that engineering decision - simply unacceptable! (you might also think about making a clear and unambiguous statement about that, as the speculation and lack of trust is hurting you badly)

I am running approximately 14 devices using iPhones, iPads and two separate Mac computers.   Everything iOS works fine but suddenly both controllers on OSX will not recognize the system.  I have deleted a reinstalled the OSX apps, reset Modem and Wifi Routers.  I have checked the firewall settings and there have been no changes to the system, just stopped working and no help. I’ve been on the help line for 30 minutes with someone who seems to know less than me and I’ve been a user for 15 years.  All the iOS devices continue to work, really frustrating that I can select and run the system from Spotify better than using the Sonos app.   Roon endpoints will be my next stop.  Anyone with something other than start over?
