You can install S2 on Android 8.1 without the Play Store by downloading the APK from a trusted source and enabling "Unknown Sources" in Settings > Security. Then, open the APK file to install it.

Hi guys I have the Beam Gen 2, Sub Mini and 2 Sonos Era 300 as my surround system. I added a turntable lined to Era 100.  Tv autoplay is set up as Ungroup on Autoplay so the Era 100 connected to the turntable will not be included when I use the tv.  Now i noticed that when I stopped using the tv and play the turntable with the Era 100 lined in, it doesn’t automatically connect again to that group (surround system+era100).  Any tips would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Have had Sonos for over 12 years. App and customer service absolutely suck!! All they are concerned with now is selling their b******* services. Any recommendations on the best wireless speakers now? So tired of my playlists disappearing or having to reauthorize my account. Just b*******… isn't even odd to me that they don't bother to respond to all of the criticism and issues we are all having. I updated my SONOS to Build 82259204 Yesterday.  Now, I can’t access SONOS due to issues with firewall configuration.  I have checked and SONOS is set to allow all incoming traffic. Any ideas on what the issue may be?  Running on Sequoia 15.2.

Hello!Is the Sub 4 supposed to show more details where the red circle is? I had a sub mini before that showed the details of the device, but for some reason it’s not showing with the sub 4. Any help would be appreciated!    

Hey everyone! I’ve got a real pickle that maybe someone tech savvy can help me out with. So, I’m currently using Sonos One speakers at my workspace and the speakers are connected to our work wifi and past owner’s email. Thing is, the past owner is no longer in contact and we don’t have access to their email to transfer the account. The iPod we play music from is a 7th gen with software version 15.8.3. The Sonos app version is 16.1. The problem is that we can’t transfer if we don’t update the app to the newest iOS, but bigger problem is that the iPod is on its latest supported iOS and can’t upgrade to anything newer. So, we’re stuck at  seemingly impossible crossroad.  If anyone has ideas or can help, please do and thank you so much in advance!

For the last few weeks I have found that the usually robust playback of shows from BBC sounds has become very erratic.I am using the S1 controller on both android and PC and my system is up to date. When I select a live or recent show to play, more often than not I get one of these error messages:“Unable to play ‘show name’ - the connection was lost’‘Unable to connect to BBC Sounds’‘Unable to add to the queue (error 701)’‘Unable to play the selected item’Sometimes the BBC Sounds stations and shows do not come up “Unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to BBC Sounds’However after trying a few times it usually starts playing ok, until if I pause or adjust the time position, when again, more often than not one of the above messages stops playback. Nothing has changed in my network configuration, I have tried removing and reauthorising the BBC Sounds service and also different groups and individual speakers but the issue persists and believe it to be an issue with either S

Hi,All my music is stored in a NAS share (OurMusic). I manage this with Windows Media Player (WMP). SONOS has access to it via \\NAS01\OurMusic.Over the years I have created numerous playlists in WMP, some of which are still active, many have been deleted.  SONOS retains the name of every playlist I have ever created in its Imported Playlists list even those that have been deleted from WMP.  Qu.1 Why?In Windows Explorer, This PC > Network locations I can see x.x.x.167 Sonos Play:1; x.x.x.185 Sonos Play:1; x.x.x.220 Sonos Playbar. When I browse these locations I see e.g. Sonos Play:1>Attributes>Playlists, that contains a Folder for each and every playlist I have ever created in WMP. But every folder is empty!  Qu.2 Can I delete the extinct playlists from each of the 3 locations (speakers)?Qu.3 How do I get SONOS’s Imported playlists list to agree with the current playlist list in WMP?Sorry for rabbiting on, would very much like to hear any comments.Thanks for reading.

Wth this app keep asking me to sign in all the time, can not use any services at all, worst app ever

I often listen to podcasts on Sonos, and have done so for years without problems. However, two things happened that have led to enormous frustration in my ability to continue to do this. First, I used to listen to podcasts using Stitcher, was has now been discontinued. Second, Sonos updated their app, and as we all know, nothing has been the same since.I have tried Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, and Spotify, and each present problems. Because there is no direct link between Apple Podcasts and Sonos, I listen to Apple Podcasts through AirPlay on my Sonos Move and Roam speakers. However, it often drops the connection of one or more speakers, it’s difficult to connect to my other Sonos speakers, the volume control is even worse than when playing directly through the Sonos app, etc. I’ve asked Sonos support for help, but as of today, none of the problems have been resolved.I have also tried Pocket Casts and Spotify. Hi, I have a new Mac mini M4 and I am unable to find a S1 controller for it. Apple Ap store says the S1 controller is not compatible with this device.What to do?

Hoping someone can help.I have 2 x Era 100's as a stereo pair coupled to Sub Mini, I currently subscribe to Spotify as my main streaming service, can any tell me would there be a noticeable difference if I were to a switch to a streaming service offering lossless - hi-res streaming? Spotify have been alluding to a hi res service for years but it still it hasn't materialised so considering the switch. 

How do I connect my pico to my existing Sonos System?

Other members of my household are finding there are certain features that they cannot use in the Sonos app on their phone unless I provide them my username and password to “Sign in as the System Owner to see this content”. Why must I do this? This is very frustrating. I hope this is a bug because it is poor design otherwise.  I want to mention that I am signed into the app on my devices.

Yesterday I could access Amazon Music Unlimited as well as TuneIn thru my Sonos speakers. Today all requests to Alexa get the response “sorry that device is offline”. I have checked my Amazon Acct which shows my subscription is current. Amazon can be played through the app on my Android phone. On the Sonos app Content Services show Rova, Sonos Radio, and TuneIn. I searched for Amazon Music on ‘Add Content Service’ but got result ‘No results for Amazon’  

Hi Sonos Devs. Thank you for your amazing products and app. I appreciate that I can link my Apple Music account to the Sonos App. A couple things I would love to see, which would elevate my home sound system experience are:adding a Sonos widget to my iPhone/iPad Lock Screens so I can control the music from the Sonos App without unlocking my devices. AirPlay compatibility to stream music in Dolby Atmos.Many thanks.

Since quite recently, when I load an album or a playlist in the app and hit the PLAY button or Track 1, the app instead selects some random track in the list to play. This is even though I have not pressed the SHUFFLE button in any way. I have to press Track 1 a second time to get it to actually play.Is this a known issue and is there a fix for this?

I’ve been a (mostly) happy Sonos S1 user for 20 years now. I recently decided to take the plunge by refreshing and expanding my system and moving to S2. Hi Anyone else having issues where BBC Sounds keeps going off and not coming back on? I only really use Sonos for the radio and the alarm. I've uninstalled BBC sounds, changed channels in the app, router, uninstalled everything else. Done everything as a standard and nothing is working. Funnily enough, it's been since the app updated on March 3rd and no matter how many times I tell them when I contact support, no one asks me about it..

Advice, anyone?  I’ve tried the solutions I’ve found online, but they only work for a few days tops and then I’m back to square one.I have 3 Sonos speakers.  The S1 app worked fine for a long time, and suddenly it doesn’t see any products when I open it.  So I uninstall, restart my phone, restart the speakers, restart the router, re-install the app, and MAYBE it will work.  SOMETIMES, if it wasn’t working before and I go into my mac and start the speakers there, the mobile app will suddenly see it.  the alarms aren’t working, the app isn’t working, I can’t manage the alarms, and after uninstalling/reinstalling multiple times and its still not working, I’m pissed.  I can’t connect my spotify or anything else to the speakers via bluetooth, which I used to be able to. Sound just doesn’t come out.  But if I just walk up to the speakers and press play, they’ll play the last thing I was listening to.  I’m so done.  I spent so much money on this system and less than 3 years later it’s frickin

It has been almost a year and this new app is unusable. The other one worked great, but was forced to upgrade when I made the dire mistake of buying more. I’ve gotten rid of a few speakers because it wouldn’t be compatible with the new app which cost me money. I have nine speakers right now and two of them work all the time, the rest on and I’ve tried many times to hook them to the same network, etc. Been through it. When is anybody going to be accountable at Sonos. Firing people doesn’t help all of us. Fix it or pay people back.
