Hi there,

I have a Premium Family Spotify account.

I log into my daughter’s Spotify account on Sonos before she plays music using a voice command with Alexa but that music still appears in my own recent listening history on my own Spotify account.

Why is this? Is there anything I can do stop this happening / affecting my Spotify algorithm?

Thanks,

James

Hello @ledgey7, welcome to the Sonos Community!

Please have a look at our Support Article Use multiple accounts for the same content service. You can add multiple Spotify accounts in your Sonos system and select which one you would like to use when initiating playback.

It sounds like your Amazon Alexa has your own Spotify account as the default music service, so all the music playback commands will affect your Spotify algorithm.

As a workaround, you can set up Sonos Voice Control in your Sonos system and select the other Spotify account than the one you’ve set with Amazon Alexa and that way you can select which Spotify account you want to use by issuing a command to Sonos Voice or to Amazon Alexa.

I hope this helps.
