Controllers and Music services

In the last few weeks the Fast forward / Rewind bar has dissapeared from both my iphone Sonos app and Mac app.  This is when playing music from my NAS drive.  It was working absolutlely fine up to a few weeks ago and now with the same tracks it doesn’t show.  Any ideas?

There are 2 entries in “Music Library Settings” /Users/me/myDirWithMP3s/ : a directory on my mac //XAirport/myDisk/myDirWithM3Us/ : a USB disk on a router. The second works perfectly. For a few months now (update to OSX Catalina ??), the first, i.e. the files on my laptop, became invisible in the Sonos App. I tried to remove and re-add the entry in the library settings of course, without success. I do not get any error message (“not available”) when I force the indexing of music, it just appears to be skipped. NB: Not sure if it’s an issue, but when I go to “folders” in my music library, the second appears with the same syntax as above, but the first is referred to as //myComputer/myDirWithMP3s

Hi, the Audio drops if I want the same music in every room.  All the boxes work individually. All the boxes can play different music at the same time.  But if I want the same music one box always stops. If I create a stereo pair the both stop.  please help my. I migrated to the s2 to update and now it really really sucks..  

With Google Play Music leaving us, the fun begins ):  I spent alot of time making Google Music playlists and I have near 1000.  So now the challenge.  What I did so far.  *YouTube Music.  Did the transfer tool.   On YouTube Music currently there is no sorting option on desktop. But there is on mobile.  On Sonos I can only see, say, the top 70 playlists in random order, with no scrolling.  It’s a mess.  Whats going on? At least YouTube Music takes my uploaded music, which is why I chose Google Music all along.*Spotify. Used a tool called https://musconv.com/how-it-works/ to transfer playlists to Spotify. I know there’s songs missing on each playlist because it doesn;t take uploads. On Sonos it doesn;t see my playlists at all except for a few I actually made on Spotify.  Any reason why?  AT least I can use the Spotify Connect tool to use Sonis via the Spotify app.  The prob

I have been using Sonos for many years and have generally used Google and Amazon streaming services. I subscribed to TIDAL about 10 months ago and really liked the quality. I had the option to Play All top tracks from my selected artist.which is how I tend to listen to music8 days ago this function suddenly disappeared. I contacted TIDAL and got a very quick response back that pointed me towards an issue with the Sonos interface.Sonos - why has this function been removed from TIDAL when it is still available with Google and Amazon?

I signed up for Sonos Radio HD and received the confirmation email a couple of hours ago, but still not showing up in my Sonos S2 App which is very frustrating.The free Sonos Radio also does not work now - I get the following message:“Unable to play Sonos Radio - the connection to Sono Radio was lost” Anyone else having this issue?

Hi, I am trying to play podcasts via Spotify premium to my speakers.  Some will connect straight away without issue or downloading but most will not connect with sonos " Cant play this right now" shows when I click the speaker icon & will only play through my android phone.  The help page talks about root directory & music folders. If I need to be a tech genius to listen to podcasts I quit. Any help will be greatly appreciated however please keep any information basic as I'm no Bill Gates! 

I have the 38 disc Woodstock collection. Each disc is an acts set from the festival. I have the album artist as Various Artists and the Artist defined as the act on the disc. When i search for an artist the Woodstock album doesn’t show, yet when I search for a song it does. Do I need to change the album artist? Can’t it work with Various Artists?

I have been listening to Ibiza Global Radio via my Sonos system for years via TuneIn. Since the recent app updates its not been working. It says its not encoded properly.I can find Ibiza Global Radio on Sonos Radio and selet it, but it wont play it all. It doesn't give any error message, it just doesn't play Can you help please help

Hi, I’ve just signed up for Sonos HD and I’m on the free one month trial period. The ad for the HD radio service states that you can skip tracks and that the service is ad free.The first thing I’ve noticed is that I can’t skip tracks and I’ve just heard an ad for McDonalds. The station I’m listening to is a Sonos one and it’s marked as being being HD. Have I actually got the HD service?

Mixcloud connection keeps getting lost or is unable to connect. Not a new problem but getting worse.Diagnostics: 904598337

I can’t search for radio stations currently.The Sonos app says my Sonos Radio account needs to be reauthorized. When I click on Reauthorize it comes up with an error msg saying ‘Unable to reauthorize Sonos Radio account’.ive deleted and reinstalled the Sonos app but that hasn’t worked. Both my App and speaker are up to date. I’ve had this problem since yesterday morning. Ive sent Sonos x2 msgs via Twitter regarding this but I haven’t had a response yet. Poor level of support so far! Can anyone help? Very frustrating! 

Cocktail hour states: lounge & electronic music… Who is making this channel? Current music is not lounge or electronic music, but old jazz....

Since being forced to move over to S1 I get an error message every morning, saying that my music files are not available. Theyt are - I can still play music from my library. But how do I get rid of this annoying message?

Sometimes when I type into the search box nothing happens.  Other times you immediately get a bar with Artists / Albums / Songs etc on it = great!  But why does it sometimes not work??   And when it’s not working I can still see all the Spotify playlists etc, just no search function, which is what I use most!

Ran into an interesting issue the other day. About 80 per cent of their holiday channels will stream on Sonos  the other 20 percent say they are not available when attempting to stream for SonosYet they all work if I stream to my IPhone or Web clients has anyone encountered a similar issue?        

I have two Sonos One speakers which are grouped together to make a speaker system called ‘Kitchen’. The Sonos account in the app was set up using my sisters email address and Spotify account. I then added my Spotify under her Sonos account so that I was able to play my playlists from my phone. Now the problem is, I’ve since tried to remove my Spotify account and it just doesn’t seem to be working. So far I have:• deleted my Spotify from the Sonos app so that it is no longer visible there• deleted the Sonos app• logged out of all devices that my Spotify is logged into and changed the password•I then clicked “forget the device” for ‘Kitchen’ in the Spotify app After all this when someone says “Alexa play Iron Maiden” it automatically plays from my Spotify account and the ‘Kitchen’ device pops back up on my Spotify!! I am at my wits end and I don’t know what else I can do to remove my device except factory resetting the Sonos which is what I thi

Hi! So this is my second topic on this issue (first can be found here) but there is a systematic issue with Mixcloud. I can barely use it, and whether it works or not is really a toss up. My connection works fine as I have no issue with other services (Spotify, Audible). I have submitted diagnostics under 382695100.Can you please do an analysis and check with your engineers what is wrong? There are way too many topics on this and the cookie cutter responses from your customer service stuff is not satisfactory.

I have always been able to play Mixcloud DJ sets recorded and uploaded to Mixcloud on Sonos.  now it says “unable to play” and jumps to the next Mixcloud upload on my  Mixcloud uploads, this one also does not play and so it skips to the next one. On and on.  I have de-authorised and re-authorised the account link a few times - didn’t work.  what a pain!! 

A couple of days ago I went to play an album from my Apple Music library though my Sonos Connect, and could not find it. Looking more closely, I noticed that the “Albums” menu item only contains a tiny fraction of my music library - almost everything is missing. “Recently Added” and “Playlists” both look OK, but “Albums” is bad. I see the same on several controllers: Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad are all the same. Moreover, in the Windows application, when I visit “Albums”, I can browse it for a short time, and then the application terminates (the window just closes with no error message). My library looks perfectly fine in iTunes and the native Apple Music app. I left it a few days in case it was a transient effect but it persists. I have tried removing the Apple Music service from my system and reconnecting it afresh, but this does not help. I probably need a Sonos support case for this but the web site suggests that I try the forum first. I ge

Hasn’t worked at all today, Nov 10th 2020. Only trying the ‘branded’ sonos stations, “Rock Pantheon, Alternative Energy, etc” I’ve reset all speakers, reset wifi/router, reset fiber modem.  All other sources work as intended. Submitted diagnostics: 720274124

Suddenly Sonos radio stopped working: … the associated service account was not found in your Sonos system. Logged out and in. Removed and added Sonos Radio. Same problem. Updated the app and the Sonos software. Same problem. Removed Sonos radio, and tried to add it again. Now that doesn’t even work. Clicking “I already have an account”, result:error, problem authorizing your account. Clicking “I’m new to Sonos radio”/“create account”. Hi!The majority of my ripped cd’s in my itunes library are grayed out in my Apple Music library inside the Sonos app and therefore can’t be played on the new Sonos speaker I just purchased.  However, everything I ever purchased on itunes can be played.  Can you help?Thanks in advance.  Steve

I have my Sonos linked to 2 Spotify accounts and I can access Sonos from both accounts using Spotify app when I'm connected to the network same network, but when I'm not connected to it I can only see the Sonos from one of the accounts.Of course, both accounts are "authorized", and I have reautorized them with no luck on it. Do you know how can I make it work? Thanks, --Marc

I am experiencing some issues with my Playbar 5.1 Setup (Playbar, Sub, 2x Play:1) on Apple Music streaming. I get stuttering on manually starting to play songs. The issue is not present if I a full playlist is running from one to the next song. Only if I manually start a new song the first seconds are stuttering and it looks like the sounds is jumping between the speakers in the room.   As I experienced the issue with the existing Sonos Boost Setup and I thought it is maybe due to the STP issue with the Unifi system I switched my setup away from SonosNet Boost Setup to a Wifi Setup on Unifi System. I have very good Wifi coverage in this room and the problem only exists on Apple Music on the described constellation above. No issue with other streaming service or with Live TV.
