Playing Amazon directly from Sonos app, I’m not seeing the HD or UHD badge when playing from a Roam stereo pair

Some songs are disappearing from Sonos playlists.  In one playlist, 100 songs went to 37; in another playlist, ~240 songs went to 52.  Before deflecting / dismissing, please note thatAll music is on a home NAS All playlists are in Sonos, and there are no playlists from other sources  The songs aren’t showing as ‘ghosts’ that can’t be found - songs are fully removed. For the past 10-15 years, everything has worked well and nothing like this has previously occurred. 

Thought maybe this was isolated to my system but was at a friend‘s last night and the same thing. When listening to a Sonos Radio station (free version) there is a very momentary blip at the beginning of each new song, usually a few seconds after the track starts. It’s just a half second silent blip. So annoying and I don’t know why this is happening. 

Background to Understand the ContextI am a very long time Sonos user. I am in the process of moving from a Windows 10 machine to a shiny new Windows 11 machine. (Alder Lake CPU, so Windows 11 is a requirement.) My music library is hosted on the Windows 10 machine, and I need to relocate the music library to the new Windows 11 machine so I can retire the former.I have a playlist that runs all night in the bedroom and another playlist that runs every morning for hours in the kitchen. I have a Port connected to my router via ethernet.  Wifi has been disabled in the Port.  Sonos regularly disconnects from my music library.  I get the message unable to browse music.  When this happened yesterday, I restarted my router (xfinity gateway) and the system worked fine all day.  The system worked fine for a couple hours this morning, but now it’s glitchy again, unable to play whole tracks without skipping forward and then stopping altogether.  Strange this happens with a port directly wired to router.  Not using wifi for it.

Hi absolut radio have said they are no longer broadcasting in the normal way. If o want to listen to them I have to load planet radio via sonos. I have tried for two days to do this but keep getting an error message what do I need to do please? 

Hello good people. Have been toiling with an issue with my music library for way too long now and i need it sorted. I have two Sonos One’s and a Sub (all ethernet connected now) and I have my music library exposed through Samba/SMB shares by both a Raspberry Pi and as of today (for test purposes) an Ubuntu Desktop (just 4 albums).Using the S2 controller app on a windows 10 desktop, it will happily accept the details of these shares, but it just sticks on the Updating Music Library, please wait spinning message, and the folders never appear (left it running overnight, good 12+hrs) before I went and setup the Ubuntu desktop and am getting the same result with that, with just the 4 albums on it.Sonos chat team got me to try a few things which hasn’t made a difference so i guess i’ll be on the phone later in the week, unless one of you kind people have any thoughts/ideas?My smb.conf file already contains ntlm auth = yes and server min protocol = NT1 (although i dont

As others have described (in closed threads), I have the dreaded “playback paused because your account is being used in another location” error.I have tried all the troubleshooting steps in those threads to no avail:disconnect/reconnect YT Music service in Sonos ensure no other devices are playing (physically unplugged all Google devices, closed YT music tab on computer, and force quit app on phone) update/reboot sonos speaker“Premium” songs play fine in YT Music app, on desktop, and on Nest devices. EVERY “premium” song that I attempt to play on Sonos (either via desktop application or app) gives the “another location” error.Per the other threads, Sonos is blaming YouTube for the error and YouTube is blaming Sonos. As a user, I don’t care who the problem is with, I just want it to work.If this is not resolved, I’ll be moving away from Sonos permanently.

I don’t know how to get this to work again. Until the weekend it was fine.  The bbc site says to scroll down on the services to choose the bbc. But that option does not exist… Help please! 

Trying to update my Music Library. Getting the message: However, that path is absolutely available. Additionally, I am literally listening to music in that Library right now. Sonos can find it, Windows can find it, it just won’t update.

Hi everyone.  I have a multi-year old Sonos connect.  No issues until today, but music is cutting out for with almost 30 seconds left in every song for about 10 seconds, but ONLY on music in my Apple Music/iTunes library.  Amazon music and Spotify music are unaffected.  Track timer keeps moving, but audio drops then returns with about 20 seconds left.  Have rebooted everything, dumped and reconnected the music library, run multiple re-indexes.  iMac (where the library lives) is not sleeping, and neither is the iOS device I use to control. Am at a loss.  Any ideas?

How do I get rid of these things? There is no “remove account” like other services. 

Hi,the planet radio service now needed to play many commercial radio stations (e.g. Absolute radio) is missing from my list of services. It is meant to be there as the planet radio website says it is what should be used for Sonos.My address country is set to the uk so I am at a loss. Can anyone help please.Thanks.

bonjour à tous ,je suis nouveau dans le monde sonos, utilisateur deezer depuis 13 ans,j’ai commencé par une sonos roam, histoire de tester avant d’équiper ma maison entière ( 10 one SL )je viens juste d’installer l’appli sonos, je suis surpris que l’on ne puisse pas ajouter un titre Deezer à l’une des mes nombreuses playlist existantes, j’ai seulement la possibilité d’ajouter un titre à “mes coups de cœurs “j’ai fait le meme constat sur Android auto il y a 4 ans, mais la je peux comprendre que c’est peut être pour  des raisons de sécurité routière ..est ce une volonté de sonos pour encourager les utilisateur  à basculer en doublon ces playlist Deezer, Spotify ou Amazon music sur l’environnement sonos ?est ce une politique de Deezer envers sonosen tout cas je trouve ça vraiment inconfortable, on se retrouve avec une playlist “coup de cœur “ qui sert de “fourre-tout” qu’il faut redispatcher dans un deuxième temps dans les différentes pl

I have had some issues where I had connected Spotify to Sonos the day before and when I played Spotify in the car via Bluetooth, the Sonos speaker then played what I was playing in the car even without connecting via Spotify connect the next day. This was annoying because I couldn't stop it in Spotify on my phone because Spotify on my phone wasn't playing at the time.  Anyone else had this issue?

I have the following issue:I found a curated playlist using Apple’s iOS “Music” app.Playlist is named “Club des années 80 : les indispensables” (my iPhone configured in French).Now I want to play it using Sonos iOS app, but the issue is that it won’t show when searching…After trying and trying (and trying...) I finally found out that:The playlist “Club des années 80 : les indispensables” also as an English name that’s “80’s Club Essentials” If I input the English name on the Sonos iOS app search box, I then get the “Club des années 80 : les indispensables” result offered.So, there’s somehow an issue in my Sonos iOS app: it will search only the English name of playlists but it will display results with the “local name” for the language the controller app is running  (i.e French on my iPhone (configured in French).Is this a bug? or can I configure somewhere the language used for searches?

Hi,My current library is on a synology NAS.Somethimes i recieve rerror messages that the song / file is not found anymore.also i noticed that some added songs don’t show up in the sonos library. When i check the size of the music folder on the nas it has: 42.442 files.So this should be below the sonos limitation of 65.000 tracks. Alternative, what solutions are there to add a 2nd library to exceed the 65,000 track limit? in the past i tried setting up the Plex media server on the nas but that didn’t worked wel for me in DSM 6,x.. maybe it’s now better with DSM 7,x ?

I'm new to Amazon Music on my Sonos system. I've noticed that when I start music from the Sonos app the player shows an HD or UHD marker. However, after a couple hours of music the marker no longer appears on songs I know are HD or UHD. Anyone else notice this? Any thoughts on the cause? Solutions?

Hi guys,I'm still waiting for this fix and want to raise the question again to highlight as it's 1p months in with no fix. I was told that in order to play Amazon Music in HD or UHD on my Sonos Beam/Ones system I must use the Sonos app. True? When I play my music using the Sonos app I only see the HD/UHD notation sporadically, even with AM playlists of all HD/UHD songs. Occasionally I see the notation appear mid-song. Normal? I would much prefer to use the AM app since I'd be doing all my music searches and curating from that app.

I just switched to Amazon Music from Spotify. When I try to play music to my Beam 1 / Ones setup I get a verbal error message. Music won't play. Music works fine using the Sonos app. Is there a setting I need to update to use AM directly? Second question: I was told that in order to play Amazon Music in HD or UHD I must use the Sonos app. True? Just switched streaming services and used SongShift to move my playlists from Spotify over to Apple Music. Now I am testing Sonos with Apple Music but after adding my account, my Playlists says No Selections Available.

Hello,  I’ve seen the same question in this forum but all threads that I clicked on have been closed so I’m starting a new one because this is a new issue for me that just started occurring about a week ago. I have tried solutions suggested on the Sonos website and in the closed threads but nothing works.I have been using my current set up for over 6 months. Nothing has changed in terms of new equipment in the house or any new potential interference. I have very strong wifi with a booster and today’s download speed is 531Mbps. I have restarted my router, removed Spotify from Sonos and re-added it. I can play music directly from Spotify to my Sonos speakers without an issue but every time I use the Sonos app to play from Spotify I experience issues from the get go. It won’t even play one song. Stops after a few seconds, skips to the next song, another few seconds of sound, then skips again and so on. The message I get from Sonos app is that my wifi is unst

Display of album artwork in the Android app for my local music library is very erratic. The library is stored on my Synology NAS. I have 100% of my album artwork embedded in the files, in sufficiently small-sized jpg. Also, I have a folder.jpg in almost every album folder. None of the jpg artwork is progressive.I've done a lot of experimentation with this subject, and have found:Album art sometimes shows up in the app, but often doesn't. (In the Windows desktop app, all artwork shows up all the time, as it does in Windows Explorer.) Some albums are often displayed with their artwork, others are often displayed without, but almost all albums are shown with artwork at least some of the time. There is no relation that I can detect between the size of the folder.jpg, or the size of the embedded artwork, and the display of the artwork in the Android app, nor with the number of tracks. Hi.When I play songs on Amazon Music Unlimited I get the following encoding error messages (below):  I assume it is to do with my Internet connection even though I have a fibre optic connection rated at 150 Mbps. The only way I can get the songs to play without errors is to connect to my smartphone with my Sky Q digibox via Bluetooth.Has anyone got any idea of what is going on?Cheers. My system consists of a Sonos Arc soundbar and a Sonus Sub (Gen 3)
