First time poster here. Having a problem with Imported Playlists. There is a new playlist called 'Library' that I have not created and it is not present in the Playlists sidebar in the Music app. Mac OS Monterey v12.2.1. This seems to be new and may be eating up imported playlist numbers on the Sonos side. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

Hi, I recently added a new pair of Sonos SLs to my system that had just one pair, and noticed I was getting time outs from my NAS when trying to play music from my Music Library on the NAS. The playlist would skip about 10 or 20 songs and then finally play one. I’ve traced this problem to the elected sonos speaker in each pair opening up a large amount of SMB connections to my NAS (more than 15 each).  On some older NASs, there is a max connections limit (mine is just 50 per share), and over time considering other stations may connect as well, it exceeds that limit. Why does Sonos need to open up 20 or so connections for each speaker that is playing music from the  local NAS Music Library just to play a single song, and is there any way to limit it? I can’t see that it would need 20 connections from a performance perspective. Here’s an example of what I see on the NAS server coming from the lead speaker in each pair: root@ix4-300d:/usr/local/samba/bin# ./smbstatusSamba version 4.9.3PID

February 2022. Intermittent issue playing Spotify playlists. Sonos skips first 15-20 seconds of each song on Spotify playlist - just 15 seconds of silence. If you hit rewind/restart button, song plays from start. 

I’ve been adding songs to a large playlist for the last few hours. These are all albums on my NAS, not from streaming services. Although the message displayed is that all the songs on the albums are being added, at some point it simply stopped adding them.The playlist currently has about 3500 songs and when I add up all my playlists there are about 12300 songs in total.Is there a hard limit on tracks in a single playlist?Is there a limit on the number of tracks in all playlists?Is it just me or should I have gotten a message saying the adding is failing rather than that it worked?

Hi, Today I was fiddling with the Sonos S2 app, and I did not see YouTube Music in the list of music services.I am located in Europe, and I have a YouTube Music Premium subscription. Any idea what the issue might be?

Saw this issue discussed in earlier threads, but didn’t see a ‘how to fix’ solution.  I’ve just had this problem.  I’d previously transferred all the CD albums to desktop in FLAC format to match CD quality; no problem.  But when I transferred the music files to a Flash drive to download to WMP on a laptop all of the albums were missing track 1.  Spent ages trying to resolve the issue and eventually tripped over a remedy.  I noticed that all the missing track 1’s were listed in a ‘Unknown Album’ folder; but I couldn’t see a way of reinstating the tracks.  I tripped over the solution when using the WMP ‘Find Album Info’.  Beneath that dropdown menu is ‘Update album info’; click on this and hey presto track 1 returns.  Incidentally this problem didn’t occur with mp3; the issue seems to be with mp4.  Hope this helps someone. 

Do you have any help on why all of my songs have transferred over to my new PC on the SONOS app but the playlists have not transferred? In iTunes I had exported the iTunes playlists and then successfully imported them onto my new PC (the playlists show up in iTunes), but Sonos is not syncing the playlists. I did the import prior to installing and updating the SONOS app and I have updated my music library.Thanks again for any help.

  I am having trouble syncing my iTunes playlists to sonos.  Everything worked fine until I upgraded my PC.  My old iTunes XML file works still but since I had to reinstall iTunes, it created a new XML file and has my updated playlists in a different folder.  I have added that folder to sonos and removed my old XML file but now all that shows up is my music files, no playlists.  I’ve been playing around with it for a few days now and can’t seem to find the issue, any help would be appreciated.  I have double checked permissions and that the XML file allows for indexing.

Hi, I'm having issues with my sonos app on my phone. It tells me I have an update, launches the google play store but theres no option to update, just reopen the app. Restarted my phone and uninstalled and reinstalled the sonos app from the google app store and it's still stuck.Bottom image is where I click update, it opens the first image, I click open on the google play store and it takes me back to the 2nd image. Rather frustrating as I'm now unable to update my media library  

All albums display and play fine when I search for them in the My Sonos interface (using Amazon Music), and/or play from the “Recently Played” row; but when I add albums to My Sonos, some of them display in the “Albums” row without cover art or title (they are simply titled “Tracks”). And when I try to play these from that row, they play only one track at a time – the Queue does not populate with the entire album.

Sonos Connect suddenly started skipping last week after the release of 14.0.4. It won’t play any music via Sonos Radio, Apple Music, or Line-in without skipping. I also have a Sonos Arc that plays fine and does not have this issue. Does anyone know if the Sonos Connect is suffering from software obsolescence and must be replaced by the Sonos Port?

I’m in a rented house for a month and am trying to play my apple music on the sonos system that is here.  I can play their music fine.  When i try to add a music service it asks me to enter the account information (id/pw)for the owner’s account.  I try to login with my sonos id/pw and it comes back and says the email/pw do not match Sonos’s records.  I can log on the sonos website with that id/pw fine.  Is there anything else I can try?   thx George

Hello,I’ve read the related posts but can’t seem to find an answer to my problem.I have my music library on my desktop computer along with the Sonos controller app. My Sonos system consists of a playbar and sub. I also have a Sonos boost because the Sonos system is connected wirelessly and all updates have been installed. It has all worked well since I added the boost about 2 years ago but now it’s started skipping a few seconds (maybe 10-15 secs) every couple of songs. I’ve monitored my wifi signal on my phone and laptop and haven’t noticed any problems. Any help would be much appreciated as this is a very annoying and somewhat embarrassing problem when I have friends over.Thanks,Dave

The latest Sonos system update broke NAS access. I have TP-Link Archer C9 router with Samsung  PSSD T7 portable SSD. All access is enabled for the drive. It worked for months, one day no go. I can access the drive from every other device I have. In Windows 10 and android I add the drive in Music Library Settings, Sonos sees the drive for a second, then says it is no longer available. I spent an hour with support and remote access, ended with the claim it was the NAS drive settings. I have factory reset, uninstalled and reinstalled apps on windows and android. Still doesn’t work. I can play Pandora on the system and music from my android.

Been listening to a streaming station KPIG (Santa Cruz) for a year, without incident. Now Sonos will not connect to it, from desktop, iPhone or iPad. Will connect to local Public Radio station. Music library works fine. Deleted station and re-added it, multiple time. No problem at the station. My business tech guy is coming next week because I am so fed up, but would love to solve this on my own, and without an added expense. Anyone??

Playing Amazon directly from Sonos app, I’m not seeing the HD or UHD badge when playing from a Roam stereo pair

Some songs are disappearing from Sonos playlists.  In one playlist, 100 songs went to 37; in another playlist, ~240 songs went to 52.  Before deflecting / dismissing, please note thatAll music is on a home NAS All playlists are in Sonos, and there are no playlists from other sources  The songs aren’t showing as ‘ghosts’ that can’t be found - songs are fully removed. For the past 10-15 years, everything has worked well and nothing like this has previously occurred. 

Thought maybe this was isolated to my system but was at a friend‘s last night and the same thing. When listening to a Sonos Radio station (free version) there is a very momentary blip at the beginning of each new song, usually a few seconds after the track starts. It’s just a half second silent blip. So annoying and I don’t know why this is happening. 

Background to Understand the ContextI am a very long time Sonos user. I am in the process of moving from a Windows 10 machine to a shiny new Windows 11 machine. (Alder Lake CPU, so Windows 11 is a requirement.) My music library is hosted on the Windows 10 machine, and I need to relocate the music library to the new Windows 11 machine so I can retire the former.I have a playlist that runs all night in the bedroom and another playlist that runs every morning for hours in the kitchen. These have played without incident for over a decade.The Issue on the New Windows 11 MachineHaving duplicated my music library on the new machine, I changed the music library folder from //WIN10PC/Tunes to //WIN11PC/Tunes. At first blush, everything works! Every room, every controller, music library, music services.HOWEVER (dammit). I have a Port connected to my router via ethernet.  Wifi has been disabled in the Port.  Sonos regularly disconnects from my music library.  I get the message unable to browse music.  When this happened yesterday, I restarted my router (xfinity gateway) and the system worked fine all day.  The system worked fine for a couple hours this morning, but now it’s glitchy again, unable to play whole tracks without skipping forward and then stopping altogether.  Strange this happens with a port directly wired to router.  Not using wifi for it.

Hi absolut radio have said they are no longer broadcasting in the normal way. If o want to listen to them I have to load planet radio via sonos. I have tried for two days to do this but keep getting an error message what do I need to do please? 

Hello good people. Have been toiling with an issue with my music library for way too long now and i need it sorted. I have two Sonos One’s and a Sub (all ethernet connected now) and I have my music library exposed through Samba/SMB shares by both a Raspberry Pi and as of today (for test purposes) an Ubuntu Desktop (just 4 albums).Using the S2 controller app on a windows 10 desktop, it will happily accept the details of these shares, but it just sticks on the Updating Music Library, please wait spinning message, and the folders never appear (left it running overnight, good 12+hrs) before I went and setup the Ubuntu desktop and am getting the same result with that, with just the 4 albums on it.Sonos chat team got me to try a few things which hasn’t made a difference so i guess i’ll be on the phone later in the week, unless one of you kind people have any thoughts/ideas?My smb.conf file already contains ntlm auth = yes and server min protocol = NT1 (although i dont think they’re necessari

As others have described (in closed threads), I have the dreaded “playback paused because your account is being used in another location” error.I have tried all the troubleshooting steps in those threads to no avail:disconnect/reconnect YT Music service in Sonos ensure no other devices are playing (physically unplugged all Google devices, closed YT music tab on computer, and force quit app on phone) update/reboot sonos speaker“Premium” songs play fine in YT Music app, on desktop, and on Nest devices. EVERY “premium” song that I attempt to play on Sonos (either via desktop application or app) gives the “another location” error.Per the other threads, Sonos is blaming YouTube for the error and YouTube is blaming Sonos. As a user, I don’t care who the problem is with, I just want it to work.If this is not resolved, I’ll be moving away from Sonos permanently.

I don’t know how to get this to work again. Until the weekend it was fine.  The bbc site says to scroll down on the services to choose the bbc. But that option does not exist… Help please!
