A bit weird one, Samba 4.15.5-5.el8 came out last month for my NAS boxen hosting iTunes library for Sonos S1.Automated patching kicked in and now my Play 5 Gen 1 cannot connect to NAS anymore. Strangely Play 1 and Playbar continue to work just fine.Error I get is “Unable to play ‘X’ - access to //1.2.3.4/Share denied.” Reset/reboots of Play 5 have no affect. Downgrading server side to previous samba-4.15.3-0.el8.x86_64 version immediately fixes Play 5 problems. Same server side configuration used.Relevant smb.conf snippet:# sonos kludgery        ntlm auth = ntlmv1-permitted        server min protocol = NT1 Adding “client signing = disabled does not help”. Running samba in debuglevel=3 offers no clues that I could spot. Any thoughts?

For some time now I’ve been experiencing an issue playing one particular Spotify playlist on my Sonos One SL. All playlists/albums/podcasts etc play just fine, but one playlist I have will not play. The only distinguishing feature of this playlist is its size. It has almost 5000 songs. Has anyone else had this issue? When I go to play a song from the playlist I get the message: “Spotify can’t play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it.” I attempted a fix through Spotify who tried a few different things but no luck. So here I am, seeing if it’s a Sonos issue.

I have a curated playlist on my iphone app that I have added to my playlists. I’ve downloaded the entire catalogue and even created an additional playlist (a copy of the original) on the app. None of these are showing up on Sonos. I searched for the curated list on Sonos, and it showed up in the search. However, when I clicked on the list it was empty.Any suggestions? I’ve seen old threads talking about the difference between iTunes and Apple Music, but surely that silliness has been solved with Sonos after two years.

I recently updated to Monterey 12.13.1 and find that Sonos isn’t able to access my music library, no matter what I do.   I ensured all the sharing settings were correct (they were not changed), that Sonos has full filesystem access; I rebooted, screamed, nada.   Sonos software version Version: 14.4 (build 67127100)Anyone else having this problem?  Monterey is feeling more unstable and perhaps I need to downgrade back to Big Sur. 

Hello.It’s been a while since the Soundcloud stream started cutting off: I always see only 10 records. However the Stream should be infinite. I don’t see the same problem in “Likes” or “New & Hot” sections. The problem appears in both Sonos iOS mobile and Mac desktop apps. I’ve submitted diagnostics, mu number is 691637994 

Sonos radio plays fine. spotify stops after a couple of minutes.  Especially when playing playlists.  

I've been able to listen to my Amazon music on Sonos for a few years, but now I'm getting a message to sign up for Amazon Prime Music.Do I need to pay now for Amazon music in order to listen on my Sonos?

I’ve had my Sonos 5 for 4 years now - this morning my desktop app (Mac 10.14.6), which is running on the same computer as my library, suddenly couldn’t find my music library and whenever I try adding it back, it just says ‘sonos was unable to add music folder’  any ideas?

Can’t download music when Deezer is open on my sonos

My family of Sonos speakers are connected on the home wifi and so is my NAS drive.  Streaming Apple Music plays fine but connecting my NAS drive is a nightmare - it is often not recognised and it randomly skips tracks when playing music stored on it.  I have checked - my NAS drive does not have bad sectors.  Any other person facing the same problem and is there a fix?  Would it help if i connected all speakers to an internet cable?  Thanks

Hey there,   When a new update comes out and I update the system I typically lose 1-2 speakers that must be factory reset before I can add them again.It seems to happen only to speakers that have been renamed from the pulldown/menu options you are given when you first add a speaker. For example,  if I choose “bedroom” and edit the name of the speaker to “Master Bedroom” it has a chance of being dropped when an update comes out.Am I doing something wrong when renaming or updating speakers?I have one in the kitchen and garage that do not get dropped of the same model but kitchen and garage are options you can choose when adding a speaker.I did not see anything in the forum with a similar problem, or perhaps I used the wrong keywords.My planned next step is to have all speakers on a generic name and wait 3-4 months for some update to be applied and see what happens.  If there is something different I shoul

Frisky radio cuts out repeatedly regardless of wired/wifi connection.  In my experience, this has been an long term, ongoing issue with the Tunein radio service.  I do not know how to rectify this playback fault.  If anyone has any insight into a fix please advise. 

I’ve viewed many threads on this topic, we are using Sonos in our new brewery, we do a reset of our entire network twice a week, it is a must due to the amount of wireless traffic we supply/use for both us and our customers.  Our speakers are 20 feet in the air and plugged in the ceiling (old commercial building), so plugging/un-plugging is not an option.  Any other suggestions, we need help quickly as we open tomorrow.  Thanks, Don

Hi Just now, I am unable to browse my custom playlists from my Deezer account in Sonos.   What is odd, I have two Deezer accounts.  Deezer 2 is fine.  Deezer 1 account has the playlist issues. Any thoughts?

Getting the attached error when trying to set up amazon music. Same happens with all other music services too like Spotify etc. How do i fix please?  I have rebooted multiple times, reset the app, even set up system as if brand new and still not working. 

Hello friend. I just acquired a vmg8825 router and attached my ext hhd with my music files to it. I can see all the files from my Mac and from my iPad, but sonos can not find them.  pathway ought to be 192-168.1.1/ nmt/ usb2_sds2/sonos or any variation of this. no way can I make it work.  Please help!

I have linked my new Sonos One to Google assistant. I use Youtube Music Premium as my default service.  When I ask Sonos to play music….It says “Playing music on Youtube music”...”Sorry something went wrong ….” and it does not play any music...

Hello:  I make my playlists from Apple Music and then move then to Sonos.  On playback I notice some tracks are not as loud as others, needing a change in volume!Is there a way of having a standard music level for all tracks within the playlist?Grateful for any help or advice please. This isn’t a big problem but I seem to change the playback level often when listening. I am looking to stop this if possible. I happens when I use both iOS and Apple Mac controllers. Thx. Mike

when adding pandora to sonos system. Now the first prompt you see after selecting activate is a new step to put in an activation code. There is no information on where this code is located. This is new. I’m a dealer in Tampa Fl and have done 100’s of systems and have never seen this. Anyone else running into this? 

It would seem that quite frequently most of the CBC Music On Air stations disappear, the CBC Radio One stations seem to be unaffected. Specifically I frequently listen to On Air Pacific and use it for my wake up alarm. While I know that I can access this station via TuneIn, there’s two problems with that. Typically when you start a stream from a TuneIn station, they play that loud “Tune IN!” clip at the start akin to Netflix’s launch noise, this is not exactly how I want to be woken up but would prefer a soft fade in of whatever CBC is broadcasting. Secondly, I’ve noticed that when I use the TuneIn stream, not long after we start listening, it will start to suffer from audio drops every 30 seconds or so which makes for a terrible listening experience.If I browse to CBC’s website, the streams missing from Sonos are available so I can’t help but wonder if the Sonos app has a timeout set wherein the music service’s list of offerings loads and this timeout is simply too low or CB

The Sirius connection has been unstable the past two days. Stream kept dropping intermittently throughout the day yesterday. Today it is continuous. Sometimes it comes back on its own.  But most of the time it has to be started. Multiple error messages result.“Unable to play Real Jazz it is encoded using an unsupported digital rights management system””Unable to play the song is not encoded correctly”“Unable to play the connection to SiriusXM Canada was lost”Connection has always been reliable.  Diagnostic #362697717 

I had this issue pop up a few weeks ago and it was resolved.  This is now happening again.Sonos is asking for an activation code that I cannot get.

When playing Amazon Music Unlimited Dolby Atmos tracks through my Arc/sub/One SLs the volume level is ridiculously low. It doesn't happen with HD and Ultra HD tracks. Looked around and found this reddit post:https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/rc5zqb/low_volume_on_amazon_dolby_atmos_music/ Tested the suggested workaround of simply pausing the Dolby Atmos track and restarting and it automatically fixes the volume every time. Crazy and annoying. But it avoids the problem of manually increasing the volume of an Atmos track only to have the next non-Atmos track blow you out of your chair.

Hi, there are several posts on adding a samba share for old sonos systems, including on this forum that reference:setting ntlm auth=yesin smb.confI tried this and various other settings before eventually scoring with this solution:server min protocol = NT1as indicated hereIt seems this is needed for newer samba systems to use the old SMB1 protocol which the old sonos systems use.Hope this helps someone.
