Have 100’s of iTunes albums that appear in feint writing,but none of them play (error 802)???

HiI recently started to see a bug in some (not all) of my Apple Music playlists. Some songs in some playlists will not play on Sonos. It’s not an Apple Music issue as I can play them fine in Apple Music but for some reason when playing the playlist from the Sonos app some songs will not play. They even show as unavailable in the playlist. Wondering if anyone could help me. 

Hello Everyone,Since the version 14.18.1, I have a problem with my local library on My Cloud EX2 Ultra.All my speakers and my Nas have a IP static addresses.The library works fine during 3 days / 5 hours / 1 day and the library disappears from the Sonos app> I must update manually. Sometimes my library disappears from the Sonos app.The Nas My Cloud works with the protocol SMB3, I have checked with the other protocols SMB1 and 2 and the problem appears also. I have also checked with an other Nas My Cloud but the problem persists. My network is always the same, no modifications, no new material.Yesterday, I have phone with the support, solution given : uninstall and reinstall the library. That was fine during the day, the evening and today, library not present in the Sonos app.Honestly, I am a little lost about this issue.Thank you for your help or your ideas.Kind regards.

Hi all – I’ve searched Google and Sonos for a while now and can’t find an answer to my issue.I can play from streaming services to my Sonos One, but I can’t play any music from iTunes – either via the Sonos app, or via Airplay – my speaker doesn’t show up when I click the Airplay icon in iTunes.Many thanks!

I’ve read several similar issues but there doesn’t seem to be a resolution so thought I’d ask. Sonos reads the music library from my Western Digital MYCloudEX2Ultra NAS, all the files are there from a sync between my Mac iTunes library and my NAS. Been using this method for several years without issue. Recently, probably the past couple of weeks, when I open the iPhone app or the Mac app, the library has disappeared and a music index update is needed to get the files back. As I said, never had this issue before, and have been linking to the same NAS for several years. I’ve checked and there is only one path in the library setup and the NAS is on 24/7. Anyone know why this has started happening?ThanksMartin

I can see this has been asked a number of times in the past but recently a large number of tracks in my Apple Music Playlists appear to be greyed out on the Sonos App and will not play.  They work fine on Apple Music on the phone and my Mac. I have tried removing and adding the account again, I have also reauthorised but neither of these worked, I really want to avoid recreating all of the playlists. I have tried using the online chat but that has been nothing but trouble, the final straw was when I finally got through to an agent they said they would review the case and get back and then after a couple of minutes they had not got back to me and the conversation was automatically ended as it had been idle too long

I don’t have an Amazon Unlimited subscription, but I do have Prime. I also have quite a lot of purchased music, mostly gained automatically through buying the CDs but also a few I have purchased digitally through Amazon music.Now, when attempting to play these purchased albums through Sonos (S1), clicking on them does not display the tracks. Attempting to play them does not add them to the queue (it shows as “Not In Use”) and the tracks are played in a random shuffled order.

Anyone can or cannot play music on Play 1 through PC library? with firmware 14.18?

Hello Everyone,I need your help, since the 14.18.1 update, the localization function in the Sonos app on iOS is missing.Since this last update, I have a lot of problem with my local library on my WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra.Sometimes this library disappears and I must to update manually the library in the Sonos app. I have no modified the initial configuration but the problems are there.Thank you forward for your time and kind regards.

Has anyone noticed that the playlists on LivePhish not appearing on Sonos?

When I try to browse Music folder via Plex i cant see the folder in Sonos app.Under Music library in Sonos setting/Music library you can add folders, but the Qnap Nas only has IP adress and not \\computer\sharename.Any suggestions?

When I am playing Amazon music through my Sonos system it works fine for a while, but within about 30-1 hour my control on my amazon App completely goes away and Sonos takes control. So if I want to skip a song, change my artist, look up and play other songs on the Amazon App I cannot . The Sonos App usurps control. I have to shut both apps down and sometime even reboot my Android phone to have it work and gain for a little while… then it plays Amazon music for a while and Sonos takes over again. It’s incredibly frustrating!   Has anyone else had this happen? 

I had asked this issue two years ago. But this issue has been not resolved yet. Spotify had launched in Korea a few years ago. Why still Sonos not support to connect with Spotify in Sonos one yet? This is an unfair situation for KR users and Sonos would not handle it, I think. If anyone who is responsible for this issue in Sonos can check, Let me know the exact reason soon. Thanks.

My system connects to a NAS drive which holds my music library of maybe 2000 albums.  I’ve noticed in the past week or so (but could have been happening before) that the music library has now shrunk to maybe only 200 albums.  I have switched the NAS off and on.  I have re-indexed my music library manually (it is set up update every night anyway) and when i put a new album on the NAS and re-index it just isn’t seeing it at all.  Any ideas?

Hi there! I have been using Storytel for over 1,5 years in my Sonos S1 system. It has always worked perfectly. Since about 1,5 weeks, I cannot search nor browse Storytel content. I have tried to restart all my devices and also removed and readded my Storytel account. I can add it properly like before, but no content is available any more. All my other services like Spotify, SR (Swedish radio) and many others work perfectly fine. Logs here:1001481229There is nothing wrong with my Storytel account. Playback suddenly stopped today while I was watching exciting live sport.I use Play5 pair via line in only, I no longer use Sonos app or playback over wifi. But today, suddenly playback stopped. Dead. No issues with my network or sound source.  So I power cycle Play 5’s. No re-connection. Open app (that I haven’t used in weeks), it says nope, you need new app. App is basically bricked until I go to app store, update app. Since when did apps completely stop working as a way to force an update?Updated app, still nope. Now need new  speaker software. Loading…waiting… loading, finally done.Bad UX. What if I was in the middle of something important when you shut down the speakers you detect as not updated? Live streaming a funeral or something?I don’t even use the app, so are the Play5’s constantly calling home and telling you my speaker’s logs? “ALERT! ALERT! Please help someone, please!?I have been in IT for over 30 years and I have never seen an app like this. I have changed the wifi to a different router. so what is the problem?I would like to point my Sonos system (4 x SL + 1 x Sub) to the new wifi please.but when doing in to System → Network → pressing a greyed out “Manage Netowrks” the Android app tells me System update needed.   ( The app was on auto update but now I have switched off auto update, but it still does demand the update).Clicking Update, I get the message that there is an update and I have the option to press Update or Not now.So I press Not now as I want to do the WiFi configuration so I can update. make sense? or am I just stupid in thinking this is a logical way to go?What happens?  THE APP TAKES ME BACK TO THE MANAGE NETOWORK SCREEN!!!!!!Think quietly to myself “how interesting” again clicking Managen Networks, laughing at my stupidity of thinking that Not Now would do it. again getting the System Update Needed, one

Just last night, I thought… Sonos has been stable for eight days. Unprecedented!Then today, it stopped playing Playlists. It would have trouble adding to the queue, and then when it did add, it would play 20 seconds of a song and skip forward.It would not update the music library.So I deleted the Library and tried re-adding.It gave me the above error message, so I added the IRPStackSize key as directed in the above message. (I did not have that in my registry, but remember everything was pretty close to OK for a week).I cut my Library folder down to just a few titles, and still get this message. I tried adding from my Android, and got the 900 error - which references back to “Server Stack”.It’s a 4 TB drive, and the total diskspace used is 178 GB.  Ay ay ay.

Has anyone noticed that the SiriusXM “service” added to the Sonos app doesn’t have all of the channels that Sirius offers in it’s own app? Specifically I don’t see any of the several DEEP CUTS channels that Sirius offers. 

Diagnostic 1602233776All of my Spotify artwork accessed from Sonos Playlists are distorted, or pixelated. When I browse and search for the same album that same album artwork looks fine, then that album artwork on my Sonos Playlists fixes itself. It’s almost like the Spotify Album artwork cached itself using much smaller images. Then when I access those albums manually it corrects itself. I have thousands of Spotify songs on Sonos Playlists so searching for every one is not reasonable. I have rebooted all my Sonos speakers, reauthorized my Spotify account and even removed the Spotify account then re-added it, but nothing has worked. Please help. Any ideas?

Album artwork pixelates on Sonos App when I enable Shuffle on a Spotify playlist. This does not happen on a Apple Music playlist.Very odd. There are over 1400 songs on the playlist. Tested on 100 song Spotify playlist on Shuffle. Same pixelated problem happens. Help please…

The Sonos App does not get updated when I  update the playlist on my youtube music. I am not sure what is the issue ? At least the application should provide a provision to resync from the streaming service( at least I should be able to find it) . This is so frustrating.

Since the topic was closed, starting a new one. After a few other Sonos S1 updates I signed up this morning for another month of Amazon unlimited -- and weird problems immediately (upon signing up) returned. In mid-flight of playing a playlist I received the message below. Couple of other interesting observations:1. On my Ipad controller I can turn off compression of music -- did that (that option doesn’t seem to exist on my Windows 10 controller...). Seemed to help. Also on the Ipad controller but not the Windows controller is an option to Pair Airplay devices with the others; it was set as OFF, I turned it ON (I have one Airplay device).2. I now get sort of random messages like the one above, where in mid-flight the message pops up and the next song starts… Very strange. I now have many messages in the Error log: Sunday, October 16, 2022 - 8:28 AM Central Time; Unable to play 'Duet for Flute and Clarinet, Op. 46 No. 1: I. Allegro' - the song is not encoded correctly. We have two homes with Sonos equipment.  The S2 update, as many of you have noted, has caused issues where we no longer have a functioning solution.  We think we understand what needs to happen.  We need to downgrade some components that accidently got upgraded and then make sure we have an S1 controller.  When we get into the app to start the process, we get in this endless loop of downgrading and then requests to upgrade. We can’t find the process after many attempts. Is there a step by step instruction of what to hit to get through  the process so that we have our system back?
