Did Sonos just brick all of my older products?

Starting a week or so ago non of my old Sonos products work and the S1 app has the add device grayed out.  Any thoughts ?

Of course they have. That’s why this forum is awash with people complaining.

Eh. No of course not. Maybe your router got confused by all Sonos device starting up at once after an update? Maybe your phone does not comply with Sonos’ requirements anymore?

Similar to what @106rallye mentions, I suspect the S1 devices and/or App need an update and to do that the mobile device needs to meet these requirements:

  • iOS 12 and higher
  • iPadOS 13 and higher
  • Android 8.0 and higher (Not supported on Chromebooks)
  • Fire OS 7 and higher
