The new app for iOS is an absolute train wreck, absolutely awful.  It will ruin your Sonos experience, and support acknowledges that there are issues and their support lines are flooded with angry users.  In spite of that, they keep pushing and prompting people to download it.  DO NOT FALL FOR THIS, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UPDATE THIS APP.  If I didn’t happen to have another device that still has the older app, I wouldn’t be able to operate my system. Support says “be patient, the engineers are working to fix the issues and missing features”, my response was to suggest that they IMMEDIATELY re-post the prior version of the app, roll this disaster back until they can produce a fully-working app.

Hi, i’ve made a fallback from the new Sonos android disaster app to the old gold edition Sonos v.16.1 app.Everything seems to work fine… until i needed to update my music library index to add my new purchased music.When i try to update my music library index - i get a message that i have to update the app before i can perform this :-(Has anyone a solution for this using v.16.1?The windows app is still great, but can’t update the music library index anymore.I’m using a NAS for all my music that mysteriously disappear if i update to the new Sonos android disaster app (properly the SMB v.1 bulls***).Any help is appreciated :-)Regards - a sad Sonos owner...   

Are you currently doing anything to resolve the mess caused by this last app upgrade? At least rollback the upgrade?I can’t use the system anymore since it just suddenly stops playing the audio after some minutes, it can be either using Amazon Music or Samsung TV via ARC, it does not matter . It keeps “disconnecting”. I hope that Patrick Spence is now enjoying his weekend and very soon he will deserve his annual bonus payout for making customers very happy. 

I downloaded and installed the new Sonos app for Android. It doesn’t work. It takes MINIUTES for it to find my speakers- it wants only to install a new system. No problem with the PC controller that’s been around for awhile. Also, it can’t find my music library.Please don’t put out new software without testing. You wouldn’t do that for your speakers & other hardware, would you? 

No matter what voice commands I give, Move2 does not play songs sung by a specific artist. The first song it plays is by that artist but the next tract is by someone else. I have Move2 playing music from spotify.

Hi everyone i have updated to the latest version 80.0 I'm android user but the app remained the same after updated and I'm still on 16.1? How can i get the new redesigned app. Thank you

I’ve been using the SONOS s2 desktop app for OS to keep access to my MacBook Pro’s local music library throughout this madness with the mobile app “upgrade”. But yesterday I went to update my music library again and it resulted in the removal of my library from the app without warning.  I tried to readd it only to discover updates to the app had been pushed through as I was now getting new prompts to change my MacBook Pro’s sleep settings, and then errors in re-adding the library.  After getting sufficiently pissed off at SONOS all over again, and scouring the forums, I found the changes/workarounds that were being recommended to make it work: enabling File Sharing, adding the Music folder to Shared Folders, enabling SMB File Sharing, allowing Windows File Sharing which means less security, giving SONOS permission to read the Music folder, then adding my music library to the app as if it was on a NAS drive, putting in the correct pathway, entering username & password. After taking

Since the new app downloaded, I no longer have access to the Recently played or Sonos favorites.  I only have access to music services.  Can this be fixed?  I have uninstalled/installed to no avail. Thank you

I use an iPod Touch 7th generation to control my Sonos speakers and stream music. This new Sonos version required IOS ver 16 or higher and that IOS version is not compatible with the iPod touch, It isn’t even available. Latest IOS version available is 15.8.2…. Where can I get detailed instruction on how to load the older version of Sonos? I assume I will have to turn off auto update and remove / re-install.

I was considering Sonos Radio over my Pandora subscription. Is it possible to stream music from my iPhone? I understand the free services specifically geared for a Sonos speaker. My thoughts are the HD streaming services like any other streaming service, is this true?

I rolled back the update with an APK immediately after seeing it was missing many of the features that I use on a daily basis. The most important was queue management, and I don't want to update until that is fully functional.Right now I am seeing things about queue management being in the most recent update, but then some posts seem to suggest it's only for iOS but not Android, or maybe for phone but not tablet, or maybe there's some features but not others.... I'm very confused, and don't know if I should let the app update now or not. I do not trust that when SONOS says they've restored queue management, that means they've restored ALL aspects of queue management, for all devices.So: I have an Android phone, and need to be able to do the following things:   -Add songs to the queue   -Remove individual songs from the queue   -Change the order of songs in the queue   -Clear the entire queue    -Would be nice to save queue as playlist but that's not vitalI'm hoping someone can give me

Discovered the new app had installed this evening, so far I seem unable to:-Connect to Amazon MusicPlaylists have dissapeared from the user interfaceIt does not seem possible to add songs to existing playlists (the options have disappeared)The app hangs and dosen’t load from time to time and needs a re-startIt seems that this is a bit of a car crash tbh, and I wonder if there is an urgent fix coming or the ability to roll back to a previous version?

After the recent Sonos update it now only plays the same songs over and over from Amazon Playlist. I've over 1200 in it and Sonos now just plays the same 20-40 repeatedly.When viewing what's playing in the list through Sonos it now no longer loads information. Is this getting fixed? 

The new UI is awful -very unintuitive. Please change it back.

Hello, I have a problem to connect my Play1 to updated Sonos app. I am not able to connect the loudspeaker to my system through Wi-Fi. It seems that the new app is not compatible with my device. I am new owner of SONOS One speaker, and I am very PISSED OFF. I can’t use it. I have only iPhone 13 iOS 17.5. Dont have iPad. IT DOES NOT WORK!!!. I gave an app priviledges to use my local network and it still tells me I did not. Unable to setup new device.SONOS app. ver. 80.00.08

Just purchased a Sonos sub, arc and 2 speakers and nothing connected to the app. After about 2 hours finally got the arc and one speaker to work with the app the sub and the other speaker have been connected to the WiFi several times but won’t show up as devices

Why is the new app now censoring profanity. I have Apple Music set to NOT censor, and when I play music directly through the Apple Music app, censoring does not occur. So, the Sonos app is censoring even though I have adjusted the setting in the app not to. Could this app update be any worse? Really. I work for a software company, and heads would be rolling down the street like a soccer ball giveaway at Walmart if we released a piece of software this bad.

Is it possible to have 2 completely separate Sonos systems set up on the one app, one in the uk and one in Portugal obviously on different internet set ups? 

For the new sonos app - specifically for the sonos amp - the amp sub controls (for third party subs - including switching on the third party sub or off and crossover frequency) cannot be found anywhere under settings or amp settings or sound settings.I have read that some sonos users can see this but I certainly can't. I have submitted a diagnostics again for sonos to debug. I also just updated the app moments ago (9th June'24) The update still didn't fix this. Come on sonos - the old app had this flawlessly implemented - why is the new app so buggy?

19 June - have just spent over 2 hrs 20 mins on phone to Sonos Support Australia. Since new app download i cannot authorise Sonos Radio nor My Cloud library. Keeps going round in circles. Tells me I am not logged in when system settings show I am. Over the last few weeks  I have played all the usual games. Log out log in. Reset modem, disconnect reconnect speakers and all multiple times. Delete app reinstall app, try phone rather than tablet, all with no rexult. Today's 140 mins also a complete waste  of time. Guy had no more idea than I had. He logged into my tablet remotely, and repeated all the games I had previously played and with the same results. Cone on Sonos, instead of bombarding us with emails about buying new products,, junk this App and restore previous version. This situation where long term product users are being forced into subscription services is not on. 

When I try to switch from station A to station B it doesn't work- station A remains tuned. The only way to switch is to tune first station C, then go back to B. Its only one of the many quirks of the app, but in my case the workaround works. I'd enjoyed streaming radio and my PC music library to my Sonos One SL (stereo) system for just short of a year when the powers that be decided to "improve" things. Since then I've been unable to stream my library (apparently available from mid June..?)and now the mobile app can't detect my system on the network so I'm having to set it up every day, then as soon as I set it up the app can't find it again. Very frustrating!!
