I have a Playbar, did a factory reset on it and after a painfully long time managed to get it set up to the local WiFi through the app. Issue now being that it won’t appear on the app at all. I’ve been through all the different ways of setting it up (wired/wifi), logged out and rest the app, unplugged the speaker and everything else that’s on the forums. There’s still nothing detected on the app and no sound through the optical cable. It says playbar has been added but may not appear system setting, I’ve unplugged and still nothing,

Any ideas ?

Did you ever resolve this?  Same issue, only a Playbar in the network and I get to the same spot you did - reboot does nothing...

It was a nightmare, hours spent on calls and chatbot Sonos have resulted in nothing. I ended up downloading the app onto a computer, wired connection into the playbar with a factory reset allowed me get the update and eventually work the speaker through a phone app.

Did you ultimately get to a wireless configuration using the computer and ethernet temporarily or did you need hard wire permanently?

Once it was updated I tested it whilst wired. It now works fine wirelessly provided it’s connected to the main router. I’ve been told that they don’t like working through a wireless extension. Forgot to mention that I also found I had to login to the routers gateway and change the security permission for the speaker to connect to the update server.

This is a pain, I reset mine and now it won’t show over wifi. I connected with a Ethernet cable and it  showed up straight away on the app. As soon as I disconnected the cable it disappeared from the app. Everything worked just fine and soon as the app update it’s stopped working.

How did you get the apps thru computer?
Where did you go to get the apps?
my Sonos doesn’t even show on Ethernet.
