This topic is 2 years ago !And the solution proposed is to switch off every time the CEC control on TV or add a switch??? The ARC costs 1000€ !!! The problem is that if I choose to listen the TV on headphones or TV speakers, the ARC overtakes destination and the sound go only from ARC.The problem is known by SONOS and for over two years! When you can solve the problem???
Am I able to place my Sonos Amp in the Attic or does it need to be in a temperature controlled environment. Thanks
Can I have 2 different Ports connected to two different receivers and audio equipment in two different areas of my place ?
AirPlay was working fine in my Sonos Amp but recently I plugged my Sonos amp to an Ethernet cable to activate Sonosnet and get more reliable connection with my devices. However, I am now no longer able to stream to the Sonos Amp via AirPlay I tried restarting, turning off the wifi and back on. Also tried other recommendations I saw to turn off cellular and Bluetooth (not sure why that would affect it) but nothing works… any recommendation? Let Play Theory3 sonos amps and a beam Wireless is setup for beam Sonos 1 wired to the network [storm?] 2 sonos amps and a beam Wireless is setup for beam Sonos 1 local setup to surround with Sonos 2 rack in surround Distance too great Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 are wired to network Surround is working [storm?] Does Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 instead need to be wired directly to each other [storm?] 10 sonos amps Wired in daisy by AV company Home owner buys a play one and sets up on wifi [Storm?] Seems like many ways things can go wrong with any wired situation in the real world of plug and play technology. Hoping we can all get a better understanding. Some frustration that the system is so delicate and isn’t more adaptive to its network environment and provides no real debug log
Hey! Man, I really could use some help here. I’m struggling to get any output from my Sonos Sub. Here’s the room setup:Thorens TD160 Music Hall pa15.3 phono pre-amp (line-in to play:5)(2) Play:5 gen 1 in stereo with Sonos Sub (one is direct connect to Wi-Fi and acts as the main controller for the rest of the house)line in source level set at 10This is at my folks house and it’s just temporary until I move next year sometime, but I cannot for the life of me get much of any bass coming out of the sub when I use line-in from the above set up. I set the “sub audio” to +15 and it’s still hardly working. When I stream music the sub is knocking and it sounds great. I’ve used the turntable upstairs with a receiver, old speakers and a sub which sounds good and has plenty of bass. So, I don’t think it’s the cartridge although it’s not a great one. I’m pretty new to the turntable game so it definitely could be the pre-amp? But I’m thinking it’s something with my Sonos system. Anyone have any ad
Can I connect 2x sonos era 300 to sonos amp. as the front speakers?
I have a Sonos amp I want to connect to 6 Sonos sonance architectural speakers. Can I simply use one speaker per room for whole home background music? I understand 2 per room is typical however we have other Sonos products for intense listening experiences. This is simply for background music. Many model homes simply use one per room… I also understand the single zone situation. Since the sonos sonance have 2 woofers then a single sonance can provide stereo sound to the room. Has anyone done this and are you happy with it?
Hello i I am currently renovating / building the below space. And hoping to fit in-ceiling speakers throughout. Any ideas how many I should aim for and position to get a good balanced sound in the main activity spaces.
Tengo un subwoofer y no puedo conectarlo de manera inalámbrica ya hice todo lo referente a los manuales SONOS y nada. Algún truco, secreto u otro que me puede ayudar?
One of my outdoor Sonos Architectural speakers cracks all of the time. Both speakers are hard wired to the amp with the suggested gauge. Both wires are approximately 100 feet. I’ve had the system for about 1 year. I’ve uninstalled and installed the app, may consider trying new cables Has anyone experienced the same issue and what did you to to fix the issue?
Which components do I need to connect the Move 2 to the turntable from Sonos ?
Is there any way to use a port with no line-in? I thought I could hook one up to my studio monitors, so for example I could stream audio from my phone and hear it through the studio monitors. But it seems that with no line level input, the Sonos app does not offer it as a device.
I am looking for the best way to hook up my Fluance RT85 TurntableSony UBP-X800M2 (Blu Ray player that will be used for CDs)A Future Tape deckTo a Sonos port which will allow me to play those devices over my Arc/dual sub/duel Era 300 speaker system. Is there a preamp that will allow an HDMI input form the Blu Ray player?Any notable receivers that play nicely with the Port? Any advice would be appreciated The goal is to play vinyl, CD and Tapes over my Sonos theater system. No need to stream or do anything else. Just play old fashion media through my room without buying standalone speakers Thanks
Hi I’ve wired 4 Sonos in ceiling speakers back to my amp. These are brand new wires and no option to replace as buried in the house. I. Sound quality is poor. ‘Fuzzy’ and hollow and can’t take loud volumes. Are there settings on the amp that can address this? Could it be poor connections at the speakers or the amps?Any ideas? Thank you.
I have a s3and S5 gen1 I think and my bridge is suddenly showing no power 😭. What can I do to get my system up and running as bridge are now not available.
I have a Sonos Connect that keeps dropping off my system. The rest of the speakers keep playing music. It’ll drop anywhere between a few seconds to until the next song comes on. If I pause the song and play again, it comes back. When it’s out, the Connect doesn’t show up in the app (iPhone).I’ve tried power cycling the Connect and that seems to work for a day and then it’ll start again. It’s not a “reset your wifi router” issue because it is hardwired with ethernet. There is no IP addressing issue. Anyone have an idea?
Hello,Our Sonos system consist of 2 Boosts, 5 Connect Amp compatible with S2, 1 Amp and 1 Arc. The Connect Amps are distributed in the home while the Arc and Amp are in the living room connected to our television. Boosts are needed to extend the Sonos network.I recently realized that a part of our home internet network was not working. Some ethernet connections needed to be worked on. I had to make changes in the wiring and the connections.I suspect that part of my problems were created when adding a TP-Link Deco mesh system on my home network to have a better signal in all our home that is not ethernet wired entirely. So I played around with all the wires and cables of our internet and Sonos networks. When reconnecting everything, my Amp was not recognized anymore on my Sonos network and my Arc’s button were not responsive anymore. I don’t know if the 2 problems are caused by the same problem. So I tried very hard to have my Amp recognize by the network. I also tried resetting it
Good day everyone,Apologies if this is a common topic/issue, but its a bit of an odd one.So I have client at a restaurant that has had me in to do some work primarily with their POS ipads and receipt printers. While there, I setup a new ipad for their upstairs bar and asked me if it was possible to push different music up stairs than down as they sometimes do different events upstairs that require a different mood/soundtrack.I checked the site over and found they physically have 3 Amps onsite, one downstairs and two upstairs. According to what I saw on the Sonos Central app, they are called:DownstairsEvent Space 1Event Space 2They don’t appear to be grouped from what I could. So here is what I’ve done to test things out:-Client uses Spotify to stream music (paid account with 2 seats), in my test I used both the ipad for upstairs and downstairs.-I first opened the Sonos app on the downstairs which was already set to stream to downstairs and got one of their play lists going.-Next I open
We have a Huawei b535 4g router, uses a sim card, and our phones and pc can connect to the internet without problems. We can play our sonos musc on the phone over the play:3 speakers. But we cannot connect to Spotify and we cannot even enter the network menu in the settings. The error is "having trouble connecting to the internet". We have tried having the speaker connected with an ethernet connection and with wifi, no difference. We are using a 2.4 gh wifi with the mode set to b/g/n and a wpa/wpa2 security. Does anyone have any suggestions.
I have an Arc, LG TV, and surround setup via 2 Sonance in ceiling speakers along with a sub in our Family Room. When connecting to two Sonance in ceiling speakers in Kitchen the sound cuts in and out frequently. We do have 3 Sonos amps stored in a cupboard on top of each but I don’t assume that’s an issue given many people store their amps together. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Thanks!
I am installing a few pairs of in ceiling Sonos speakers. Everything is working great but the speakers are not added to my product list. Is there a registration page to enter serial numbers? Thanks
my current system has the 1st gen play fives and sound-bar which use the Sonos 1 app which i use for my music.I want to purchase the Beam and some Era 100s which use the Sonos 2 app. can i have both systems on the network or will there be compatibility issues?
Have a question that so far Sonos support hasn’t been able to help me with. We have six rooms in the house with in-ceiling third party speakers powered by their own Sonos Amp (so six Sonos Amps). In addition we have two rooms with 5.1 surround sound driven by their respective Pioneer Elite VSX-LX105 Receivers (works with Sonos compatible) connected to Sonos Ports. If I want to use any of the Sonos Amps as a source for the rest of the house via grouping I have no problem having that music/sound playing through the two rooms with the Sonos Ports.HOWEVER, I want to be able to use either of the Pioneer Receivers (via the Sonos Ports) as a source to play through the Sonos Amps as well. So for example, if I was watching a game on one of the TVs connected to the Pioneer Receiver/Port and I wanted to also play that same game through the rest of the house via grouping. I haven’t been able to find a lot of specific documentation on the topic, but from what I have been able to find online this
Some of my connects will not play music
