Let Play Theory

  • 3 sonos amps and a beam
    • Wireless is setup for beam
    • Sonos 1 wired to the network [storm?]
  • 2 sonos amps and a beam
    • Wireless is setup for beam
    • Sonos 1 local setup to surround with Sonos 2 rack in surround
      • Distance too great Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 are wired to network
        • Surround is working [storm?]
        • Does Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 instead need to be wired directly to each other [storm?]
  • 10 sonos amps
    • Wired in daisy by AV company
    • Home owner buys a play one and sets up on wifi [Storm?]

Seems like many ways things can go wrong with any wired situation in the real world of plug and play technology. Hoping we can all get a better understanding. Some frustration that the system is so delicate and isn’t more adaptive to its network environment and provides no real debug log

You might want to read some of the posts here on STP and RSTP to get a start on that.
