I just installed a Sonos Amp connected to a pair of Sonos Architectural Ceiling Speakers (8”). The setup seems to work fine and plays correctly. However when I try to detect the Architectural Speakers, I get an error that they cannot be found. “Make sure you’re connected to the same wireless network as Sonos, and give it another try.”My Sonos Amp is hardwired to my router via the network port but on the same home network. My phone running the Sonos app is obviously wireless. Is the error message literal? Does my amp really need to be wirelss? If so, does it get even crazier and do they both need to be on either 2.4 or 5 band?
I want to watch You Tube videos on my PC with the sound on Sonos in Ceiling speakers. Connect using Wifi, no cables. With a Mac I could use Airplay, but how can I do the same with a PC?Merci
I am resetting my subwoofer after a power failure that caused the subwoofer to disappear on the My System. When I press the join button and plug it in to the outlet, the status light blinks orange and white and never changes to blinking green and white. Why is this happening?
Simple enough question but I can’t find the answer in other threads. I just purchased a Sonos Amp with the intention of running two sets of speakers in different rooms. When speaking with the sales people, somehow this intention was lost. The sales folks say I can run the two pairs of speakers into the same banana plugs to drive both sets. However, they noted to check impedance of the speakers. One set is 8 ohms and the other 6 ohms. Is it safe to run these two sets of speakers on the Amp?
I have installed Sonos in several houses. Each time when I arrive from one location to another, the app has to reconnect manualer. In earlier verson it connected seamless without doing any manual operation each time.Any tips or suggestion for improvement?
Hello,I have 2x ERA 100 and just bought new Roam 2.ERA 100s are bound together as one Stereo group and everything works great. Sound control on one of speakers control both etc. But, after I setup new Roam 2, I started being complicated… And I cannot figure out way to permanently connect it to the system - It’s only weirdly set as different group - cannot include it as 3rd speaker in that existing ERA bound.I’ve tried to use Grouping feature and now have to say that I want to play in 2+1 group in Spotify/BT.Problem is that now hardware controls on all 3 devices are useless as it does not control system volume and would unbalance room volume when used.Another problem is that when I turned-off Roam 2 for the night, the other day 2+1 Group was gone. And I had to setup it all over again. Please tell me there must be way how to bound those speakers together ?When configured, it sound great, but process if starting music every morning seems like total pain 😮 And volume controls are gone 😢
My set up is above, can I add a sub to my set up ?
TV surround issuei have just tried to play music on my TV Room. This configuration consist of a Arc and two Sonos One SL.the result is the Sonos One SL’s keep getting a distortion in sound, on the other hand when this happens the Arc is all ok.using the lasted update I decided to true tune that worked but still ended with the issue on the surrounds. I did check if that was occurring with the TV on, but all ok.any ideas
I have a good pair of Dali speakers that I would like to add to my current Sonos system which works with the S1 app. Does the new Sonos Amp work with the S1 app?Jim
So, I noticed today, looking the odd volume control issues I’m having, that some of my Ports had been set to Pass-Through rather than Fixed. I didn’t do it, so it must be some glitch from recent firmware updates. These things have been fixed since forever. So, Heads UP! Check your fixed volume components to make sure they still are FIXED!And no, this won’t solve the laggy volume control response from the app unfortunately.
I have a Sonos 1 system in my house with various devices connected. One of them is a Connect Amp which is not compatible with Sonos 2, hence I don’t want to upgrade to Sonos 2. I have now bought a Sonos One SL which is not compatible with Sonos 1 and so I have to make a new system using the newer Sonos app. However, I seemed to have entered some “twilight hellscape” where everything seems to work fine and it all looks good up until the very last moment when the Sonos app eventually reports “No products found”. I’ve tried it a few times now with the same result. This forum query seems to suggest that I should turn off all of the existing devices before creating a new system. Is this correct? If so, why is this?
My Sonos Amp won’t power on. I have 4 amps and the other 3 are working but my 4th won’t power on. I have unplugged and let sit for a while and tried it again but no luck. I used a power cord from working amp and still wouldn’t power on. I tried holding the back button while unplugging and plugging back in and still no power. Need help!
So I try to group and it shows as playing but no sound coming out of speakers or connects for 5 seconds then stops and only plays from the era. I have reset my router twice today and still the same issue. My products worked before this update. I have 12 Sonos devices and I’m at my wits end trying to get stuff to work since this update.
Hello Sonos, I have a Gen 1 Sub that has suddenly atopped working. The issue is power. There doesn’t seem to be any power getting to it. I purchased a new plug/power lead to make sure it wasn’t a problem with the power lead but the sub still isn’t receiving power by the looks of it.Is there any support you can provide for this?
Hi all - thanks in advance for any help!I have two Sonos Fives in my living room, set up as a stereo pair. They play music wirelessly just fine, working as a stereo pair. The right-hand one also has a line-in connected. It connects to a CD/DVD player (it’s an OPPO BDP-103EU BDP-103EU Blu-ray player, in case that’s relevant). The line-in connects to the back socket of the right-hand Sonos Five, and runs down and splits into the red and white inputs to the player. When I play CDs from the player, the two Sonos Fives work fine as a stereo pair, with both playing fine. But when I play DVDs from the player, the stereo sound does not work: it seems to me that only the left-hand Sonos Five seems to work, and the right-hand one (i.e. the one that receives the line-in) is not playing any sound, so that e.g. some dialogue from the film is not played, or e.g. the instrumental parts of film songs play but not the vocal parts of those songs.Because the line-in seems to work fine when I play CDs via
HelloI’d like to wall mount a stereo pair of Play:5s. I live in a Victorian terrace, which has (I think) a single brick wall separating my house from next door. This is the best wall to mount the speakers on, but I’m a little concerned about sound affecting/annoying my neighbours. Has anybody got experience of this - is it an issue? I’m encouraged by the fact that there’s no bass port at the back - does this mean that almost all sound is projected forward?
I lost the Rooms that show the patio speakers
The new update for the Sonos app sucks! The old one worked just fine. Can’t believe someone would actually think this is an improvement. Feels like you went backwards 10 years! Why would you do this? The app/user interface is the primary user facing point of contact with the people paying for your product and you completely screwed it up! What were you thinking????
Sonos fam - I’m enjoying the Sonos multi room experience and recently added turntable to the Sonos Amp. Highly recommended!our family is gonna build a new home and I’m eyeing Sonance in ceiling speakers in a Sonos amp. We have a brick fireplace and I don’t wanna post a soundbar on it. Was hoping I could just group the Sonance with some ERA 300’s, then run HDMI from the Amp to the TV. Can I pair those Era’s as a center channel? i know it won’t be atmos but have prioritized music over home theater. Welcome your input. thx!!
So I just got Sonos port I’m trying to connect it to the app But it keeps giving me error 1002 I can find the product and I enter the pin and everything and it connects to the app and I see it pop up on my network with an IP address, but as soon as the port says it needs to update It says update failed and kicks it off the app so I can’t view it anymore and it won’t connect unless I factory reset it After I reset it, I try to connect it again, but the same issue keeps happening I think it has something to do with the new update, but I’m not sure. Has anyone had this problem after the update and if so, does anyone know how to fix it?
I recently had outdoor speakers installed professionally. I have the TP-Link Deco XE75 AXE4500 Mesh network. The speakers run off of a Sonos Amp. I have tried to connect the amp to the Wifi, and the person who installed the system has also tried it. Neither of us have been able to get it to work. I have even hard-wired the amp to see if that works. The tech who installed it had an Eero router, which connected immediately with no issue. Are there connectivity issues with TP-Link routers? Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?
When I look at “About Your System” the Boost is shown on the Mac app but not the iPhone app. Does anybody know why?
I have tried to connect to wifi several times and it won’t connect
I have Sonos in-celing speakers in different rooms of my house and was curious as to whether having more speakers in use means that I am also using more electricity or whether it makes no difference.
Hi all, first post!I have been using a sonos connect amp for streaming music to my outdoor pool area with wired speakers. The sonos connect amp has no rca outputs. I want to know if I can get a sonos port to use the rca line outs to my house stereo system, and have it play the same music stream in sync with the sonos connect amp that is driving my wired pool area speakers.Sorry for the complicated question. Thank you in advance if anyone knows!JLHayes
