Hi,

Some days ago I managed to upgrade my system with the S1 controller to the new Sonos app.

I bought a sub mini and 2 Sonos One 2nd Gen. I have been trying to add them to my existing Sonos system but when it has finished and needs to update, it is not working (even being connected with an ethernet cable).

I have tried everything I have read here: rebooting router, switching off every single product, reseting the app. Try in other devices… disconnecting everything and connecting only the speakers not updating (but then the system does not reconognise them). Then connect everything back and again I can see them on the system (with the label: not registered)...

Then I reset both and tried to connect the sub mini. It worked!! It did the updating properly (wireless) and it is working correctly. However, I have tried again the 2 Sonos One and still get the same errors. Sometimes is 1002 and most of the time is 1000.

Anyone can help? Thank you very much.

Try connecting a speaker to the router by Ethernet and try again. If it works you should be able to disconnect the cabled speaker afterwards .

Alternatively I think some have reported some 1000 or 1002 joy by using the Windows or Mac desktop versions of the apps to update their speakers.

It worked through Windows! Finally! I had to use an ethernet cable as well in one of them.

But that is sorted out finally. Thank you very much

Really #$%, but the combination of the Sonos App on my android and Sonos Windows did the job.  Adding Sonos device via app and before complete i got the 1002 update error.  Before closing using the Windows Sonso app to update the sonos device. After a few tries it worked and Sonos device was updated and added to my system.  Still Sonos is doing a bad job wth the new sonos app, but i at least i can use the new sonso device in my system. Sonos must realy fixed this
