Question

Sonos Amp disconnects if ethernet attached

I have 2x AMPs. Both disconnect from my network if I attached ethernet. I am also unable to switch wifi off. It fails if the ethernet is not attached but the device detaches if I connect ethernet. I have watched pings fail when the ethernet attached then restart when it is disconnected.

The wired network is work for 20+ other devices so does not appear to be an issue. Both Amps work fine on wifi.

Any suggestions as I would like to switch to a wired network.

Describe your network for us. If you have any managed switches they must be set for STP, not RSTP.

Thanks for the reply.

The diagram above describes my setup. Google wifi with Firewalla serving DHCP. Unmanaged switch. Google wifi mesh does not allow bridge mode.

Wifi setup seems to work fine for Sonos. Just when I plug in Ethernet the amps drop. I have started to do some reading re google wifi and Firewall. Seems they might be the culprits?
