Hi, I'm experiencing frequent drop outs while listening to music. They are usually short (2-5 seconds). Music basically stops playing on all of the speakers in my living room at the same time, and restarts on all speakers together. My setup is Playbar and Sub next to each other at the front of the living room, and two Sonos Ones at the back. Playbar is wired to a Wifi router which also sits at the front of the room, around 4-5m away from Playbar and Sub. There are also two Symfonisk lamps in the bedroom and Boost in between Living Room and Bedroom. None of the Sonos devices connect to my home Wifi, they are all on SonosNet, channel 11. Speakers and the controllers have been updated to S2. For this test I was playing music only in the Living Room. The "SONOS_IP_ADDRESS:1400/support/review" diagnostics page confirms that the Playbar uses channel 11 and also channel 48 to communicate with the Sub and Ones: Mode: INFRA (sonosnet) Operating on channel 2462 Home channel is 2462 HT Channel
i bought 6 sonance ceiling speakers. installed them in the living/Dining room with a the sonos AMP. When a play songs with certain frequency i hear vibrating distortion. Here is my findingsI tested all 6 speakers on the same line and song so that i have a common test. The results were as follows3/6 speakers had the vibrating distortion very prevalent2/6 the sound was there but not as bad1 had the best quality.Obviously the quality of these speakers is not the same. I opened a case with SONOS and waiting for their response. I also recorded the sound so that you can hear the distortionNo happy at all. Has anyone else experience this issue
I tried to play music through airplay on my Sonos One and Sonos One SL stereo pair. The problem was the music suddenly started at maximum volume. I stopped the music after about 3-4 seconds. My concern is why this issue occurred and if my speakers were damaged as a result. Thanks.
I’ve followed the instructions for doing a factory reset on the playbar. In the end of the setup the message is shown. however it never shows up. How do I make it work?
Hi,I consider buying a Sonos turntable and connect it to a Play 5 speaker (paired to another Sonos Play 5 speaker + Sub Gen 3).One question though….If the turntable is connected to these two paired 5 Speakers, will these speakers still be able to play music form other sources ?RegardsGeorges`
Hello,Today I started to have a problems with my Sonos system.I have 2xOne, 1xOne SL and Beam. I don’t know how it was happend but I lost all my configuration. So, I did factory reset in all devices. Reinstall Sonos app on Android and iOS.And I just can’t connect all my devices. I can connect one of them and that’s it. When I’m trying to connect next device the message “We couldn’t find any Sonos products on your mobile device’s network so we can’t set up your Sonos One. Please try again later” is displayed. My ID 129241624I think I need some helpRegards
I use my Sonos One to play mp3, wav, wma tracks ripped to the C: on my laptop. For some reason, many of the tracks display incorrect artwork when playing. For example I am looking at Karen and Richard Carpenter whilst listening to Mark Knopfler.Any suggestions please? Thanks,PeeWee
I use Sonos Amp for my out door patio and Spotify for my music. This is the 5th time that they have randomly turned on and at high volumes. Most of the time it seems to happen late at night. One time it was so loud that the cops came to my door! The song and play list that came on last night was a play list that a friend shared with me through Spotify. It happened last night and I did run a diagnostic report. Any help is greatly appreciated.
When playing music from my SONOS playlist it will often skip a song after 30 sec… if i go back to that song it will skip it again after 30 sec.. yet if i play the same track through apple or deezer the song will play completely through without a hitch…
I don’t even know where to start. It started with the Beam not showing up on my system. I’d unplug and plug it back in and it would be ok for a few hours, then gone again. Had to do a factory re-set and re-add to the system. Then went the Play:3, fixed by unplugging and plugging back in. Then the paired Play 5’s, which took nearly 2 hours to get re-added after several failed attemtps. Now, my Arc/Play1s/Sub in the home theater are gone and the 5s are gone again. I’m at a loss. I’ve done a factory reset on almost everything. I’ve re-booted the router several times. This all started after the last Sonos update. Any ideas?
Tried to travel with my Move (that's the idea of this product, right? ) But the Bluetooth stopped connecting to my Mac (worked fine at home), and I spent over an hour on the phone with SONOS tech people to reset my Move. BUT..to reset, you have to connect via cell phone with the local network, and reinstall. Everything goes great until it repeatedly reports that Sonos can't connect with the network...even though every other device we have connects just fine with the network (2 Macs, 3 phones, 2 iPads). And...notwithstanding statements on support site, the Bluetooth will not work. I find it amazing that a product that is supposed to be a quality traveling speaker turns into useless dead weight in my bag.BTW, I've tried all of the troubleshooting at least twice on two different networks. I read that there is an update to download, but how can I do that if it won't connect to the network?I'd appreciate someone from Sonos reaching out to me. But please do not tell me to try any of the tro
I have 13 Sonos devices. Three hard hardwired to a router/switch--a Port, a Boost and a One. I have assigned fixed IP addresses to every device and rebooted them. When everything is working, I can see all the devices are on Sonosnet (WM 0) except the Move. When I go to a browser and open up the network matrix the signal looks pretty good for all the units. Periodically the entire system, except the Move, will disappear. It just happened today and I submitted a diagnostic report--159866136It seems as though the only thing that works to bring it all back online is to remove the Ethernet connections and power cycle those three units. I just tried that and now everything is back on line--but on wifi not Sonosnet (WM: 1). Of course, removing the ethernet connections may have nothing to do with them coming back online--that might just happen randomly. I submitted a second diagnostic report after everything came back online. 1152772757
I am having issues with the up/down volume on my Apple tv remote while connected through my Sonos sound bar. For some reason when the sound bar is connected the volume on the Apple remote will not control the volume ALTHOUGH when I disconnect the sound bar (from the tv) the apple tv remote works and sound bar is disconnected. Any ideas why remote will not work with the sound bar?
Hi, I’ve just added a seconr (second hand) Play 5 to my system. I’m having problems connecting so tried ethernet to router option. I get no green connection lights showing on the ethernet port. Does this mean there’s a hardware issue? ThanksIain
I have been having problems the last 6-8 months with staying connected when first starting up Sonos.I pitched a detailed question another forum which i’ll paste below. I have since learned how to run the reports that produce the Network Matrix diagram. I’ll also paste that below. I’m hoping some of you might explain why 2 of my speakers are white. The orange and RED I assume are bad. My description pasted below does not note that the ISP router was placed right next to the house electrical panel. i also tested my wifi near all my speakers and am getting 50-70 mbps download speeds I have 5 Sonos speakers and a Sonos Connect (see details below). I love it.I primarily stream Spotify music thru the system via WIFI only. I do not use the Sonos wired (sonosnet).I use an iPad and iPhone 8 to access S2 and Spotify. My issue is with Sonos cutting out when I switch from as example my daily playlist one tor 2. It may continue to play song 1 and then slowly merge to song 2 with fits along the way.
Hi all can't find anything online about what I'm trying to achieve so I thought I'd reach out here.I have a Arc, sub gen 3 and two play ones acting as surrounds in my living room which is all great but in the summer I'd like to take my sub and two play ones out in the garden to play music and not involve the arc.I'm trying to replicate this set up in my living room but the arc keeps butting in,if I unplug power to the arc everything else is greyed out on the app which is what I'd imagine would happen if I physically moved out to the garden being on the same WiFi and all.Any can or can nots would be much appreciated .Even if I could set up a different Sonos account on a tablet/phone but using the same WiFi would be something. Thanks in advance
Playbar sound is cutting in and out while watching cable tv, streaming and internet TV. I disconnected cable HDMI but sounds still cuts in and out. When sound is out, white light on side of playbar blinks and when sound is out. Diagnostic 1909477452. Thanks

Does someone's sonos move on one side get a little hotter than the other? It happens to me on the right side if I look at it from the front. I do not know if it's normal...
I have a Sonos Port that is connected to my Yamaha RX-A770. I have tried it wired and wireless but this issue remains. When one song ends and another begins (streaming from Spotify) the music stops for about 10 - 15 seconds on the Port. The rest of the speakers in the house continue playing. I’ve tried making everything wireless and tried using wired for the Port and speakers that are near an ethernet outlet. I ran a diagnostics this morning during the problem (38917787). Can someone review and provide suggestions? Thanks
I received a Sonos 1 (gen 2) for Christmas and haven’t been able to get it to play my Amazon playlist since I got it. If I ask it to play it via Alexa it will do so, but I keep getting “Requested operation failed. Please try again” when I try and access it from the Sonos app on my Android phone. It’ll play the playlists that Amazon has created using my music (My Music Review 2020 for instance). It’ll also play albums and singers from my collection but it won’t play my playlist.I’ve removed and re-added Amazon Music from the app; I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app; I have moved the portable phone which was too close to the Sonos. Nothing has worked. All I want to be able to do is manage my playlists from the app and it is getting very frustrating that two things that are supposed to work seamlessly aren’t.
My Move works great if it's already playing something when I take it off its dock. But once I stop the play, it won't be visible on the app again until it's back on the dock. Any ideas?
I have two Sonos Play speakers which worked perfectly well on the original app.I received a Sonos One as a present.I realise that you can’t have all three grouped. When I tried to setup the One using the original app it said I had to use the new app as the old app didn’t support the new speakers.I did this but before I could really do anything the new app detected the Play speakers and said I had to use the original app.I can’t do anything with the original app though because that also detects the new One.I just go round in circles.I have ended up switching the two Play speakers off and deleting the original app but this now means I can only use the One with the new app.I don’t mind not being able to group them into one system but is there any way I can have two systems? The original Play as one and the new One with the new app.Its so frustrating.
Hi, I have a problem with my setup… Working setup… Benq beamer hdmi to Kanex and hdmi to Apple tv… From Kanex I use a optical cable to my playbar… Everything worked…Now I changed the playbar to a beam, and are using the included optical to hdmi adapter that came with the beam… But I have no Sound?
I live in an apartment building with a lot of 2.4Ghz interference. Signal scans would often show upwards of 25 battling 2.4Ghz signals, and that’s the environment in which I was trying to get Sonos to behave. I tried wireless first, which was a disaster. Then I got a Boost, which helped somewhat, but not enough. So I hardwired one of the speakers, then added the Boost, then hardwired a second speaker plus the Boost, and everything would work for 30 minutes or so until my neighbors came home, or until I decided to use the microwave (!).Over the past year or so I took advantage of the upgrade discount to get rid of my abominable Play:1s. Then yesterday I finally decided to replace those terrible Gen1 Ones with One SLs, hoping that being 100% 5Ghz compatible would be my ticket. After setting them up, rebooting my router, and confirming that all of my Sonos speakers were hooked up to 5G...hallelujah! Rock-solid connection, amazing sound, AirPlay FINALLY works dependably. The moral of
