Connect volume not working in app

The volume bar is not working in your app/iphone when I play through Connect and hifi. Volume is either off or FULL VOLUME (the volume bar in any other position than furthest left).

Problem started 2-3 months ago, now it’s default. Volume adjust still works with Play:3. 

The problem persists playing radio through sonos app or services like spotify. Everything is reset and reinstalled, no change. Ideas?

Configure the output setting to Variable Volume perhaps?

Deactivated wi-fi (Connect has been cabled recently) and changed output to variable. It worked. Thanks.
