Will Sonos One get damaged if it suddenly plays at max volume?

I tried to play music through airplay on my Sonos One and Sonos One SL stereo pair. The problem was the music suddenly started at maximum volume. I stopped the music after about 3-4 seconds. My concern is why this issue occurred and if my speakers were damaged as a result. Thanks.

Since the speaker is a combined amp and speaker, designed to work as a unit, the speaker should be able to take the load even for extended periods of Max volume.
