Hey guys does anyone have a spare discount code for the echo dot they could send me ? been in hospital all week quite unwell but I heard about the offer and emailed them three days ago to ask for a code they finally replied today to say it’s too late they can’t issue any more coats although they can be used by the 29th if anyone has a spare code I would be really grateful if they could PM me. thanks in anticipation

I bought two sonos ones to act as surrounds with my playbar in my living room. Besides a few small problems everything seemed to be working fine. Now the sonos ones will NOT execute music commands. When I ask Alexa to play a song, it acts like it is going to work and says that it is now playing in the living room but nothing happens. I have tried everything that I know to try and fix the issue. I have removed everything and readded everything again. I even changed the groups name thinking there may be a naming conflict. It is now named TV Room, but that didn't work either. Everything else works as far as Alexa goes, just NO MUSIC. This is really frustrating. Does anybody have any suggestions for me?

Hello. I bought 2 sonos one speakers in belgium. However, i live in the UK and when i brought them to the UK, it seems they do not work with Alexa. The message i get from the Sonos app is : not available in your country. it's a bit of a bummer, is there a way to let the speakers now that they are actually in the UK and that Alexa voice service is available here?

I enabled Alexa skill, found my sonos device, Amazon is appearing in settings on Alexa. When I command her to play something she starts and then tells me it's offline. How do I fix this?

just bought a sonos one alexa and whenever i say alexa whats in my music library she says there is currently no music.. i have seen the video online but thats not clear.. i do have a napster app on my laptop but still cant figure out how to do it. so if some could let me know just what to do i would be grateful.. also i have all my music stored on my c drive of laptop anyway i can get this in the sonos library and then just ask alexa to play them?. please help.

Hello forum vets, Yesterday I received, set up, and connected my Play:1 and 5 to my Amazon Echo and Sonos Alexa Skill. It works fine to control music commands to the Sonos (Alexa, skip X, play in Y room, etc.). However, I've been searching this and Amazon's forums for an answer/guidance to the following: Can I have music play from BOTH my Sonos speakers AND the Echo? I have a full-size echo which has a decent speaker in it, as well. I'd like to include it in my surround sound/whole home speaker experience. I understand it's not a speaker I could control through the Sonos app, but is there a way to "tether" it to one of the Sonos speakers/include it in a music playing device cluster via the Alexa app? I'm experiencing a frustrating aspect of Alexa and Sonos integration whereby I have a number of speaker groups and using Alexa mutes all groups. So for instance last night I was upstairs listening to music on a single PLAY:1 (playback initiated via the Sonos app), and downstairs my children were getting homework help from Alexa in the kitchen. Each time they summoned Alexa playback upstairs was muted. Is this normal? Is there a setting to stop Alexa muting Sonos playback?

Hi having got my Sonos ONE yesterday I have to say that I am very disappointed with lack of integration with Alexa and Sonos. I would simply like to know what the time frame is for pretty basic features that I would of expect to be included from day one. 1) Spotify, I know see the website had been updated to make it clear voice commands cant start Spotify and is being worked on, I would have expected this day one but what time frame are we looking at for this feature? 2) being able to group Sonos speakers with the group feature in Alexa app. Again a feature I would expect day one and yes I know I can group and ungroup manually in the Sonos apps, but whats the point when you pat for an integrated voice system? 3) News roundups These are my top three issues I have found. I love my Sonos in terms of sound quality and playing music in multi-rooms through the app,( the grouping has always been an issue by not allowin

I have a Playbar and a MacMini. I was wondering if I could attach a Dot to the MacMini via USB and ask Alexa to play items from iTunes. Any advise on this please?

Hi there, so when I ask Alexa a question and she gets confused the sound stays muted on my tv setup with playbar, can’t get any command I say to Alexa to get sound back on, the only way to restore sound is to unplug her and then plug back in, this can’t be right any ideas, many thanks in advance.

I have just set up a wired connection from my dot to my Sonos 5. I can now control the volume, music choice but I can’t hear Alexa.. she is picking up what I say but I can’t hear the response. Am I doing something wrong?

Am I right in thinking that if I have the Amazon Echo Plan which I use with the echo dot, that it will play through my Sonos?

I can't get the Songs One to play amazon music (all other amazon devices play it fine) - I've gone through the routine several times - reinstall, reset etc. Every time Sonos One tells me that I could sign up for a trial account of amazon unlimited ( I already subscribe) - so finally I said yes and it's working - I have no idea who Sonos One or Amazon... thinks I am..

Excited to receive notification that I can now play Sonos from Alexa. After updating Sonos and Adding the skill to Alexa - Alexa 'can not find any music in My Music Library' I have also linked my Speakers with are all PLAY3. What have I missed

i have a trail for amazon music unlimited and sat night it was working fine, sunday morning i asked alexa to play radio and she replied here is something you might like but no music or radio playing. also asked for various artist and tracks and still no music playing.. anybody know why this is happening on a new sonos one. if their is a remedy please reply with full discription of how its done please absolute newbie to all this. its driving me mad, although music is working fine from other devices, just amazon unlimited music, but it was working, my subscription doesnt finish until 27nov..

My new Sonos one is exactly where my dot used to sit. The Sonos doesn’t hear my calls as well as the dot did and the chime volume is low. I’ve looked for adjustments but haven’t seen any. What can we do to adjust sensitivity?

Alexa app - Your Voice setup - cannot select devices. They show as online (both as the '5.1' group and the two Sonos Ones individually) but they are greyed out and I cannot select the device to continue the process. Anybody run into this and solve it?

I have successfully (I think) paired the echo dot with Sonos - added the skill and Sonos appears in list of devices. However when I try to play via Alex nothing happens - example if I say "alexa play tunein on bedroom" - alex repeats the command but no sound comes out. Apologies if this is already asked but does anyone have any advice or troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue ?

I know on my Dots if I'm playing music or a Tune-in station and have a timer set, the timer will sound even if the music is still on. I'm just being sure this will work on the Sonos One if I have something playing direct from the Sonos app, say music from my NAS? Also wondering if I have the same level of control over the volume of timers and alarms as I do with a regular Dot, such as separate volume control for them? Thanks for reading.

I know other 3rd Party hardware devices (i.e. EchoBee 4) that have Alexa built in do not offer all of the same features as a true Amazon/Alexa Device. Does the Sonos-Alexa have the "Drop In" feature, where Alexa acts like a home intercom system?

When I use a voice command to play Radio 4 though Tune In Radio the sound comes through the Alexa speaker. How do I get it to come through the Sonos speakers by default?

I have set up my Sonos One. I have 5 Sonos 1's, a playbar, subwoofer, and sonos 5. I have 2 sonos one's, playbar and woofer grouped in the family room for surround sound. I ask Sonos one to play classical music in the Master Bedroom and Alexa responds, Playing classical music in the master bedroom, however, it is playing everywhere!

I have connect my echo dot to Sonos (2 x play 1). The music plays through the 2 speakers and I can control from alexa, however the music continues to play also through the echo dot, but slightly out of phase giving an echo (no pun intended). If I mute the speaker on the dot, I cant hear alexa? How do I stop music playing through the dot, when playing though the Sonos speakers? I am sure there is a setting somewhere, but I can't find it.

I'm about to take my Sonos One back as it's not working how I want, unless anyone can help connect an echo dot to a sonos one. I mostly use my Echo to turn on lights and wake me up. This is great. I also want a better speaker to play music/podcasts on. When I come home half way through a song/podcast I don't want to have to find it again on an app and play on Sonos. With my echo I could just say 'connect iphone' and, because it's bluetooth it connects. But the Sonos One can't just stream what's playing on the phone. I still have my Echo dot, and it really just needs a speaker (old one died a month ago) to beef up the sound. I thought Sonos One would be the same, but in one unit, but without the iPhone streaming, it really isn't. The sound on the speaker is great, but...it's proving to be a pain to play fluidly through devices. Does anyone know if I can use the Echo to just play via my Sonos One, like a speak you'd just connect via 3.5mm jack, but over Wi-Fi instead? This
