Voice control and smart home

I’m using an Echo Dot with a couple of Sonos Play 1’s, I cant however get Alexa to play Spotify on my Play 1’s. Alexa just returns “Spotify is not supported on this device” If I start my Spotify stream from the Sonos or Spotify App then Alexa can control volume and track but I can’t control by artist, album or playlist Should this work or is it just a case of waiting for a Sonos update?

Any time I ask Alexa to do something, I,e, ‘Alexa, play radio’, she responds with ‘i am not not sure what went wrong’. I have restarted, even factory reset my device. I have deregistered all devices on my Amazon Alexa app, uninstalled all Sonos apps and Alexa apps. I have tried resetting everything I can, and set the device up as a new device. But I am getting no where. Please help!

I've always been a really big fan of Sonos products but the Sonos one leaves a lot to be desired. I have discovered the device with the Alexa app and it does work with my hue lights but on an ad hoc basis. It does not always seem to hear me where as my Amazon Echo dot has a much better response response success rate. If I ask it to play radio stations and songs if then tells me it's playing it, but nothing comes out the speakers. I sold my Sonos Play 5 and one of my Echo dots for this and I am already deeply regretting it. Was going to buy another Sonos one to stereo pair them but I'm not going to bother and I will probably send this back as it's not ready for real world use. I love Sonos and had great experiences and service from them before but this speaker is toilet. So disappointing

Hello everyone! Shortly i bought a new Sonos one. And at first i was very happy about it. The sound is good and functionality with Alexa quite okay. But adding smart devices seems to be a bit tricky... I've red certain topics here about "addind smart devices" but i could not find any topic about broadlink rm pro. Does anybody have some experience with Sonons one an broadlink rm pro ?

Can I use voice control on Sonos One without having Amazon Echo? How

we have UK English on the echos using the Alexa app but no such option exists for the sonos one - any help would be appreciated

Can any of you good people tell me.....one why can’t I play Apple Music form Alexa dot via Sonos if playing Apple music at the moment it is not possible does anybody know when it will be I’ve successfully linked my Sonos to my echo.but cannot get anything to play via the Alexa.

Can a Sonos One do everything that an Amazon Echo can do? I might get my brother either an echo dot and play:1, or a Sonos One for Christmas.

I heard that I can now associate my echo dot to my living room group so I don’t have to specify which room to play music in. So I can just say “play music” rather than “Play music in living room”. Is this true? When I look at the ‘living room’ group in the Alexa app, Sonos doesn’t show up as a device so I can’t add it to the group, even though sonos and Alexa are all connected and working well, albeit by having to specify the room name, which is frankly convoluted given I only have one Sonos room in my home. Please help.

My boyfriend and I just purchased Sonos One speakers.He lives in S.C and I live Georgia. We can't get alexa to recognize the Sonos skill on his Sonos One. So, commmnds like "stop music or "play music" is unrecognizable. Alexa keeps stating to enable the Sonos skill or smart home skill. We've uninstalled, disabled, re-enabled the Sonos skill, the alexa and Sonos app and even reset factory the Sonos One speaker...no luck. Interestingly enough, we both have separate amazon alexa accounts but when he goes through Voice Services addition via the Sonos App, the Sonos One immediatley pops up with a description of "Online" in my Alexa App and not his. I can see in my "History" the commands he is calling out to alexa in S.C. The commands do not register in his history in his alexa app. So in my alexa app under Settings and Devices I see 3 different Sonos Ones: I see a descriiption Sonos One, a descriiption of My Sonos One with Online under the name, and I see His Sonos One with Online under the

Hi, I have 2 x PLAY 1s downstairs and an Echo Dot upstairs. Can I add the Echo Dot (and any other Echo Dots I may buy) to a group with the Sonos speakers so that I can play the same music on them at the same time? Thanks Dave

So with Sonos integrating Amazon Echo within their eco system a couple of questions: - If I install an Amazon Echo Dot in each room that I have Sonos speakers in will I be able to assign that particular dot to that rooms speakers? For example, I don't want to ask Alexa a question and then have all of the households Sonos speakers respond. - I assume using the Dots that as well as having full control of Sonos Music system I will also have full use of the usual Amazon Echo services i.e. Alexa, what's the weather forecast, and it will use that particular rooms Sonos speakers to respond? The potential is quite compelling if it's implemented well but good to get some clarification.

I recently added a Sonos One to my existing setup and have gone through the addition of the Alexa app, etc. I am able to tell Alexa to play music on one of my speakers, but even though I have set up "Groups" in the Alexa, she refuses to recognize them so I am only able to play on one speaker at a time. I have even deleted everything (all apps and settings), restarted from scratch, set up new groups with new names after Alexa recognized my Sonos speakers, but I am still unable to play music on a group as defined in the Alexa app. Any thoughts? Separately, Sonos One + Alexa is not playing nice (not working) with my Hue lights anymore following a recent update at the beginning of November whereas it was for a couple of weeks after my initial purchase, but, I have read elsewhere (on Amazon sites) that this is a known Amazon update problem that is hopefully being addressed by them. When will Sonos and or Alexa have a app support?

Hi, I have recently purchased an Echo Dot to go along with my two Play 1 speakers. When I setup the Alexa skill I created a group which contains the two Play 1's and the Echo Dot, however I can't seem to get playback to work through the Dot as well as the Play's (I can get it to play through the two Play 1's). Is this possible? Thanks.

When I ask Alexa what time is ti? the reply is 8 hours behind GMT. I have gone into the time and date settings for the play one but the are set at the correct time. How can I get Alexa to announce the correct time? Terry

Hi - I was very excited to hear about Sonos and Amazon integrating so I updated the Sonos app on my Samsung S7, then went into Alexa. Downloaded the skill and went into "enable", signed into the Sonos account, gave it access permission, signed in to Sonos on Amazon...and then it sends me back to the initial "link account" screen and I'm back to square one. Alexa's smart device search finds no smart devices, certainly no speakers. Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong? Or is it an Android thing? I believe this should work with any Sonos speakers, mine are about a year old, will this make a difference? Thanks.

I mistakenly entered my wife's Amazon Alexa account in Sonos and want to change it to my account. I have tried for a couple hours to figure out how to delete the Amazon Alexa account in SONOS but I am still stuck. Please help!
