I'm wondering if Sonos can make a product that has Powerline network capability, in that way, you can connect your device anywhere to the power outlet and it connects to the network available on the place using the electricity directly to the router ?
Hi there! I have a TP-Link AX1500 (main router), a TP-Link RE505x (range extender), 2 x Era 100s (one directly above main router with a turntable fed via USB-C - AUX, and the other 5-10 metres away on a bookshelf). I also have a Move 2, which usually sits about 15-20 metres from the main router and about 5 metres from the extender. I’ve noticed that when the speakers are grouped together, (or I’m using only the Move 2 in its primary location stated above) live radio streams lose connection for 5-15 seconds at a time (I stream NTS radio, MyTunerRadio, and The Lot Radio quite a bit, so dropouts are unaccepteable). Spotify is totally okay! Since turning off my range extender, I have managed to more or less completely alleviate the dropouts (funnily enough the signal level doesn’t seem to be any weaker anyway on the Move 2 with the extender off - which is the one speaker in the network that would need some support from the extender, which leads me to believe the Move 2 may have been ignori
I have decided to open a dispute through my Visa credit card, because Sonos is not providing the Return Shipping label which they promised to email me after they agreed to accept my Return of a Sonos product I recently purchased.Sonos sent me the Return Authorization immediately but wrote that I must wait for the Shipping label that will come in a separate email.I have called Sonos several times and they promise to get me the label within 48 hours, its been 7 days and I have not received it yet. Therefore I have decided to open a dispute through my Visa credit card company and hopefully Visa can bring some pressure to bear.If anyone has any suggestions pls get back to me.
Ordered an Arc Ultra and two Era 100s with speaker stands. Order status says “allocated”. Called and rep could not explain what “allocated” meant. Does anyone knows what “allocated” means under order status? Thanks!
Why are posts being reviewed then never get posted. None of my posts contain questionable language.
Sonos is advertising to link to Alexa on iHeart or TuneIn and it’s setting off my Alexa device. Anyone else? You would think that, with all the stupid issues with the app, they would phrase the ads so they wouldn’t cause that problem.
After a total of approximately 6 hours and 3 days of phone calls w Sonos, 2 hours with Spectrum/Charter and 5 different techs.....My Sonos is still not connected to the wifi and closing remarks from last technician was there is an issue between Sonos 1 and Spectrum and you can Google it to read about it......I told him Sonos should read it and FIX the issue for their customers.Anyone else have this issue?
My Sonos AMP is only 3 or 4 years old and has started buzzing constantly. I have troubleshooted it myself and it happens with everything unplugged (apart from power) and does the same thing in different properties in different areas, so it’s not my electrics. I have tried different power cables and factory resetting - no joy. I can hear the buzzing when I am trying to relax in my living room with no audio, but also when listening to music and watching TV. I spoke to Sonos live chat yesterday and Sonos support on the phone today, and I am very dissapointed to learn they will not offer any support, fix or replacement. I have loads of Sonos products and have always recommended them to my friends and family. I thought they would be able to offer more, as this is my most expensive Sonos product. Can someone please help to get my AMP fixed or replaced? I cannot afford spending £699 on a new one when I only bought it 3 years ago. Surely Sonos is better than this?
I’d like to be able to restrict parental control to my Sonos roam, which is the one my kids use.
so again the dreaded issues with returns to Poland. Despite giving both playbar waybills to DHL along with the labels and all being ok these have been returned to me today sayingh cant process as no invoice details to sendSonos say its a DHL issue and DHL say its a sonos issue, been going round the houses trying to sort and gettimg nowhere, the 14 day return period is nearly out and struggling to resolve, anyone able to shed any light @SONOS @Sonos Support as we will get charged
Feature description:Lock Volume is a feature that allows the owner of Sonos speakers, to lock the volume level of speakers at a specific level. This ensures that the volume of the locked speakers won’t change when adjusting the volume of all other speakers at the same time from my Iphone. For example, in a bathroom, you may want the volume to stay the same, while in your kitchen or living room, the volume levels may vary more frequently. How to use it:1 - Sonos owner, goes into the Sonos app.2 - Clicks into a speaker or group.3 - Sets the volume (30) and checks a checkbox to lock the volume at this level.4 - When I’m streaming music to all Sonos speakers from my Iphone, I can change the volume up and down without affecting the locked speakers. Use Case:1) I'm having visiting guests, and they want to play music through all the speakers in the house, but I prefer to keep the bathroom at 30 and the bedroom at 50. Since I locked the volume on these speakers, the guests can adjust the volume
Has anyone been able to successfully redeem a frontline worker / military discount code? None of the codes appear to work. This functionality seems to be broken for quite some time. I also noticed that older codes that worked were in the format of MIL15-XXXXXXXXXX but are now MIL25-XXXXXXXXXX. It’s a 15% discount. Maybe that’s the issue?
Hello, So I just switched router and hooking up Sonos wireless to the new WIFI seems impossible. I’ve read threads here as well as on Reddit and it seems to be pretty common and obviously connected to the new app and its issues. What works now is Sonosnet with one of my speakers wired directly to the router. I can then control the speakers through my computer wirelessly, but not through the app. S1 found the wired speaker and then sends me to S2 which doesn’t find anything. Spent hours trying different things suggested by the community but I now have to accept that these 5+ hours were wasted. Sonosnet atleast lets me use my TV and surround system even though I can’t access specific settings which I could through the app. I’ve tried switching different networks, turning off networds, factory-resetting a Play:1, etc. Nothing works. Is there a point in continuing this or should I just accept this temporary fix and wait for Sonos to get their shit together in a coming update that might be mo
@controlav ’s 6 month report on the new app. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/sonos-mobile-app-six-month-report-andy-pennell-osszc “While there have been improvements in adding back some features lost in the 'upgrade', it still isn't the app it was six months ago. Still a lot of features missing (especially playlist support), still unreliable at finding the speakers on the network, and adding new bugs with each release. Which we really didn't need.”Yup.
The promise of updatable products is that it gives the ability to improve them over time. It also gives SONOS the ability to make perfectly good parts of the products useless because whoever is driving the development seems to have a narrow interpretation of the user community AND doesn’t understand that removing existing capabilties needs to be an absolute LAST resort. We used to be able to search for albums. Now, we get every hit in a single list with a picture of the album cover. Hopefully the name of the song or the album are short or we can’t tell whether it’s an album or a song because “(single)” will either appear or be lost in the “...”.Also, the whole ecosystem seems to be on a phone-like update cadence. Every time I go to use SONOS, something needs updating and so, when I was hoping to listen to music while spending a romantic hour or 2 with my wife (for example), I’m now thrust into the middle of a technology project. Lovely. Do I need to put a tickler on my calendar once a m
Short version: Does an affordable device exist that I can carry around my house to pinpoint the source of 2.4GHz signal that is interfering with my Sonos system?Long version:I’ve long had difficulty dropouts on my Sonos system. Sometimes it works fine, other times it’s intolerable. My inability to reproduce the problem reliably has made it very difficult to diagnose the source. Now I recently learned (or was reminded of) the Network Matrix, which shows the status of the connection of all my speakers. This I see provides critical information to help me diagnose the problem. This is my system. I’m using SonosNet with ethernet going to one Sonos One5 - Play:11 - Sub1 - Play:53 - Sonos One1 - Play:3Last night, the Matrix had red squares all over, indicating severe interference, and speakers were dropping out on and off all evening. I tried switching channels on both my Sonos system and my WiFi router, to no avail. Now, tonight, I have green and yellow squares and the dropouts aren’t
After a decade of being a huge fan of a sound system which was as easy as sound perfect, I today sold my last 3 era 300 and will therefore leave this world. I decided on this not because this fatal app release happened but obviously this is company who has forgotten what it is about: customer friendliness and competence. The reaction to this unthinkable release has been a punch into the face of all us customers who were not customers but loyal believers and this can not be rewon A sad goodbye
When I check my Netgear router it shows that I have one (or sometimes more) ZonePlayer ZP100 connected as wired devices. It also shows: two Sonos-One, a SonosZP Sub, a SonosZP Play:1, a SonosZP Entertainment (the devices on this list change often)I do not and never have owned a ZonePlayer device. In my configuration, I have an ethernet wire connecting to a Sonos One and everything else is connected to it via SonosNet. The full set is:5 - Play:11 - Sub1 - Play:5 with connected Sub3 - Sonos One (one of them wired)1 - Play:3My question is, why does my router show ZonePlayer(s)? (and why does the list of things fluctuate)
Can't switch from beta version to regular version, It still shows as beta. The beta version service said they will change the version, but still stuck on beta version thanks
Why is Sonos still out in Silverlake, Los Angeles? I am not able to access the system at all, I’ve unplugged and rebooted several times, it’s been days. System is totally down. I’m seriously considering getting rid of all my Sonos products. Never had this kind of trouble before. Been a loyal customer for well over ten years.
It’s impossible to get any answer on my refund. Sonos received all 5 speakers on Oct 8th and till now no reply on multiple emails I have sent out. Calling is a joke. They route to me all these different places and when I finally reach tech support since they are the only one that can transfer me to level 3 support and they keep telling me to call back in 30 min. cuz they are busy or on one is there. Extremely disappointed with sonos and will never purchase them again. They owe me $1,200 and I am not getting anywhere. Any suggestion on what I need to do?
It has been over a week and a half since I’ve been able to use my Sonos system. I contacted them immediately. 70 & 60 minute wait times over the phone. No help from the chat bot. The community is just a bunch of other folks like me that are screwed. Where is the customer support???FYI, Your case number is: ********For whatever that is worth. Moderator edit: recorded and removed case number - identifying information
Some Sonos Playlists are missing the header cover art. The ones that have this issue are the ones where the firsts tracks in the Sonos Playlist are from my local library.
Does Sonos have a customer service dept that will visit your home?
I own 14 Sonos devices and my system is “not found”. Nothing works! I have spent weeks trying to find a fix including 2.5 hours with Sonos customer support, who “escalated” my issue to level 2 which took another 2 weeks for an appointment, and then basically said it’s a “network” problem, not a Sonos problem which is total BS! My network people, said, it is NOT a network issue. I have had Sonos in my same home for 15+ years and it’s worked just fine. So now what? I’ve even tried fact resetting and re-connecting two speakers. It worked great for about 10 minutes…. Then the app could not find the system. The only way to turn the speakers off was to “unplug” them!! Am I the only one in this boat? I’m open to suggestions/solutions.
